Create A New Minecraft World
Our texture pack is complete now, all we need to do is load the pack into a new Minecraft world.
Open Minecraft Bedrock Edition and press Create New to make a new world. Click on Resource Packs, open MY PACKS, and find My Resource Pack. Press Activate underneath the resource pack. Then, press Create to create the new world.
NOTE: You may also edit an existing world and follow these steps to load your texture pack into a world you have previously created
Create A Custom Minecraft Texture
Now, itâs time for the fun part – creating a custom block texture! Your block texture can be anything you wish, as long as its dimensions are 16×16 pixels. You can use any image editor to create the new texture. The Windows default program Paint works great, for example. To edit the canvas size in Paint, click file -> properties and change the Width and Height to 16. Then, you can draw to create a custom texture.

Find The Commojang Folder
The com.mojang folder is hidden inside many other folders, so we will have to locate it. You can find it by doing the following:
Press Win + r to open Run then, paste in

Creating Custom Blocks With Resource And Behavior Packs

You will be making changes in both a resource pack and a behavior pack to get custom looks and behavior for each custom block you will be creating. Here is the file structure we’ll follow for this tutorial:
Imagine that the behavior pack contains all of the information about a block’s behavior. The behavior pack will contain the < custom_block> .json file that specifies components that give a block specific behaviors such as friction, flammability, desctructibility, and more. Components can also control some visual elements such as geometry, materials, render methods, and lighting.
Note:If components are given in the behavior pack to control the visual properties of a block, they will override the visual properties specified for that block in the blocks.json file. That’s why blocks.json becomes optional once you start relying on behavior packs more heavily.
In this tutorial, however, we will be making a fairly simple custom block. We will be using blocks.json to specify the visual properties of the block, and we will not be using any components. While it is recommended to complete this tutorial before moving forward, there is also a tutorial on using components called Advanced Custom Blocks.
Let’s create a custom die block with six different sides, that rotates the side faces and is a different color in hand. Small customizations to a block like this can make it feel more unique to players.

Choosing Your Texture Pack
After the folder has been pasted, you can exit out of the file explorer window. Now, you should see your new texture pack in the lefthand column.
In the image above, you can see that the texture pack is red. This means that is not fully compatible with the version of Minecraft that you are currently playing on. Fortunately, this is not a bad thing. The texture pack may not include certain items but overall, you should still be able to comfortably use it.
When you hover over the texture pack, you will see an arrow pointing to the right. Clicking on this arrow will cause the texture pack to appear on the right, where selected packs are. Above, you can see a texture pack already selected. If this is the case, you will want to move any texture packs that are currently in use to the ‘Avaliable’ column to unselect them. The default option will always be in the selected section, so you can just leave it as it is. Make sure that your downloaded texture pack remains above the default option.
With the new texture pack at the top of the ‘Selected’ column, press ‘Done!’Minecraft will reload and the new texture pack will be applied.
