Piston Based Snowball Farm
This farm type is exclusive to the Bedrock version of the game, as only that game features the ability for pistons to break snow layers, causing them to drop snowballs. This means it is possible to create a pretty simple designed farm that breaks snow layers created by golems as they are made with a piston, dropping snowballs into a waiting hopper connected to a chest.
Players will need to collect enough snowballs to craft the blocks necessary for whatever they need them. While having to craft the snow blocks by hand is annoying, unfortunately, it is the only way to do it for both designs of the snow farm.
Add Items To Make A Snow Block
In the crafting menu, you should see a crafting area that is made up of a 3×3 crafting grid. To make a block of snow, place in the 3×3 crafting grid.
When making a block of snow, it is important that the snowballs are placed in the exact pattern as the image below. In the first row, there should be 1 snowball in the first box and 1 snowball in the second box. In the second row, there should be 1 snowball in the first box and 1 snowball in the second box. This is the Minecraft crafting recipe for a block of snow.
Now that you have filled the crafting area with the correct pattern, the snow block will appear in the box to the right.

For a simpler, but nonetheless fun action, snow can be used as a natural, simple means to add atmosphere and character to home bases or other preferred areas.

Building A Snow Golem
Snow Golems are a special Mob very similar to Iron Giants which can be found in Villages. Theyre built in a similar manner and also serve a protective purpose or the player.
Unlike Iron Giants, Snow Golems can only be built. They do not spawn naturally anywhere.
To build a Snow Golem you will need a Carved Pumpkin and 2 Snow Blocks. Essentially what youre building is a snowman with the Pumpkin for a head.
Like Iron Giants the Snow Golem wont be following the player around and its main goal will be to attack and kill hostile Mobs. It will do so from a distance by throwing Snowballs at them.
Unfortunately Snow Golems cannot be built just about anywhere. Because they are built of Snow they melt. If they fall into Water, stand in Rain, or are located in Warm Biomes they will begin to take fire damage until they die or are shielded from the elements.
This makes them most effective in Cold Biomes.

How To Build The Snowball Farm In Minecraft
You need these materials to make a snowball farm:- 8 Cobblestone, 12 dirt blocks, 4 glass panes, 1 stone slab, 2 snow blocks, 1 carved pumpkin, 2 Redstone dust, 1 lever, and 2 pistons.
The first thing you need to do is, check your coordinates because snow only spawns in the cold biome OR higher values of the y coordinate. For plains, swamps, and beaches, it should be Y> 64- For jungles, it should be Y> 124, For savanna, it should be Y> 184.
After collecting all the resources for making a snowball farm in Minecraft, you can follow these steps:-
Step 1
First, place 4 cobblestones making a square. Then on two sides, cover the edge with dirt and place a stone slab on the center.
Step 2
From the corner, make a 2 block high pillar of dirt block and makes an opposite L on both sides.
Step 3
Put glass panes on the edge of dirt blocks.
Step 4
Then build a snowman- To make a snowman in Minecraft, you need two snow blocks and a carved pumpkin. In the space between the two glass panes, place two blocks of snow on top of each other and put a carved pumpkin on top.

Place two pistons facing the front and put a lever on the corner and connect them with Redstone dust.

Push the Snowman to the corner and push the lever. Make sure by doing so Snowman is stuck. If not, you can try it again by pushing it into the corner and pushing the lever again. Then in the middle, put a glass pane.

Collect 4x Snow Balls
The method requires you to have at least 4x snowballs. The best way to get snowballs is by hitting snow layers or snow golems. Mine around the snowy areas and get your bags filled with snow.
You can hit the snow with any type of shovel in your hand and make sure you collect the ball before it disappears.

Unless you are farming Snow and simply want to play around with Snowfall, you will need to be in a Snowy biome to succeed. Snowfall is a weather effect which replaces Rain in these particular biomes.
To create Snowfall you have to be in a Cold Biome and use the same command you usually would to make it Rain.

If you are in the right area you will see Snow particles slowly start to form and fall from the sky. If you arent these will be replaced by Rain. Consider changing the biome if you are struggling to find a particular Cold Biome.
When you dont want it to be Snowing anymore you once again use the same command you would to make Rain stop.

Once the cauldron is filled with snow, you can scoop it out with a bucket.
What Does Powder Snow Do
As for what Powder Snow actually does: it is a trap block. All entities will sink into a Powder Snow Block if they walk over it. After 7 seconds in contact with the block, the player will start to take freezing damage .
Over these 7 seconds you’ll see a vignette of frost begin to tint the edges of your screen to indicate the danger. Fortunately there is a defence: leather armour. Any piece of leather armour worn will negate the freezing effect, and if you are wearing leather boots then you won’t fall through the Powder Snow in the first place. It certainly won’t defend you as well as Diamond Armour or Netherite Armour, but at least there’s a practical reason to stick with leather armour now!
Couple other things worth knowing before we wrap up this post. First: Powder Snow will melt if exposed to fire, which is to be expected really. Second: a Skeleton stuck inside Powder Snow for long enough will turn into a Stray . The Stray will spawn with full HP even if the previous Skeleton was damaged. Interesting, no?

How To Get Powder Snow In Minecraft 117
Powder Snow spawns naturally in areas where there is regular snow, and it looks indistinguishable from regular snow so the only way you can find it naturally is by quite literally stumbling across it.
Fortunately, there’s a much easier method. To get Powder Snow, place a Cauldron outside in a snowy biome while it is snowing. The cauldron will slowly fill with Powder Snow, and once it is full you will be able to right-click on the Cauldron with an empty Bucket to get a Bucket of Powder Snow.
Once you’ve got a Bucket of Powder Snow, you can right-click with it on the ground to create a block of Powder Snow. Powder Snow Blocks cannot be mined you can only pick it back up again by right-clicking on the block with an empty Bucket.
