How To Host A Minecraft Server On Your Pc
So, first, fire up your browser and go to . File we need is located at the bottom of the page. Its called Java Edition Server under Server Software.
Next up we create a text file called start. This file is essentially how we run the server. Go back to Minecraft download page and there youll see a one line code. Copy and paste it into your text file. Now the code could be slightly different depending on the current Minecraft version, anyway, its fine. Itll not affect the way we create the server.
So, What does this code mean?As you can tell our one line code is divided into some random looking strings divided by a space. However, what this code is basically saying is, use the Java language, start the server with specified amount of RAM, define the minimum amount of RAM, which is 1024Mb, or 1GB. And the rest of the code defines where our Minecraft Jar file is stored. We can now save it as a bat file if youre done editing. You can simply double click on the txt extension, and change it to .bat
If you see a responde saying, Done, it means your server is up and running. You could type stop and press enter to stop to server.
Id say for most people, its costs outweigh the benefits. But in the end, its up to you.

How To Find Each Other In Minecraft

Errors While Making A Minecraft Server
Understanding how to make a Minecraft server is a monumental task in itself. It gets even more complex if there are some random errors in the process. Fortunately, I also experienced the majority of those errors and have found some quick solutions for all of them. Hopefully, your server-making journey will be smoother than mine.
The first error that you may encounter is while opening the server.jar file that we downloaded from the official website. Another version of this error can meet you when the command prompt fails to start the server. Luckily, the solution to most JNI errors is updating Java. If the automatic update isnt working for you, you can manually update the Java by downloading it from this link.
Technically, the EULA error is not an error as Minecraft included it intentionally. But still, youre bound to face it while opening the server.jar file for the first time. The fix is quite straightforward. You need to open the eula.txt file in your Server folder and accept the EULA agreement by replacing a false with true. Just like we did earlier.
Stuck at Scanning for Games in Minecraft
Due to either your Internet or some other reasons, you can get stuck at finding Minecraft Servers while in the multiplayer window. The scanning goes on for a long time with no results.

Easier Way To Join Friends In Java Edition
In the launch menu before you launch the game, there should be a way to add other people with mojang accounts to be your friends. Then after you have a few friends added you can launch the game and if you want to host the game you click single player and create a new world and there would be a setting to make it online like a check box or something . But if you want to join a friend then you would click multiplayer then on the bottom of the screen where all the options like add server and quick join are there would be a new option saying join friends then it will replace the server screen after you click it with either you have no friends that are online or it will have the worlds that your friends are currently in that you can join. Then to get back to the server screen you would click the same button but this time it would be called server list or something like that.
