How to add custom mods to your server:1. Download the mod/s you wish to install on your desktop.2. Log in to your BisectHosting control panel.3. Select File Manager then click the Mods folder.4. Click Upload at the top.5. Drag and drop the .jar mod file to the dropbox. 6. Restart your server.

Writing A Launch Script
First, open a text editor such as Atom, Sublime Text, or Notepad. Write a launch script for your server.Examples of simple launch scripts for Windows, macOS, and Linux have been provided below. Keep the RAM limitationsof your machine in mind.

The following examples are generic. For a Forge server using Sponge , change forge-1.12.2-XYZ-universal.jarto whatever your Forge version in the server directory is named. To launch a SpongeVanilla server, changeforge-1.12.2-XYZ-universal.jar to the name of the SpongeVanilla.jar file.

Port Forward The Server
The server now works locally! Anyone on the same IP as yours can now join the server. In order to allow people not on the same IP to connect,you’ll need to port forward your server. To do this, google Whats my IP? on Google. Take the number it gives you, copy it, and paste it into the address bar. This will most likely take you to your router’s website where you can manage your router’s settings. Enter the password to your router to continue. My router is a Linksys, you’ll want to google around to find the steps with your specific router. You’ll want to find the Port Range Forwarding section of your router, and enter in the following information.

Install Forge & Let It Download
After you’ve got the Forge program open, it’s time to install it into Minecraft. This is very easy to do. Just make sure Install Client is selected at the top, and then click OK at the bottom of the program. It will now download and install Forge in Minecraft. For this to work, you must have played the vanilla, non-modded version of the version you are trying to install. For example, if you are installing the 1.13 version of Forge, you will need to have run the 1.13 version of vanilla Minecraft for it to work.

How Do I Run A 1122 Modded Minecraft Server If Linode Only Lets You Run Minecraft
Sorry if this is a stupid question, I am not really informed with all of this stuff but I have $100 credit and wanted to start a modded server but when you go to buy/rent a server you can only buy Minecraft – Latest. The advanced options don’t allow you to change the game version and in my case, I need to change it to 1.12.2, for All the Mods 3 Remix.

Install Forge Server Accept Eula
In order to start hosting a server, you need these files. Reopen the Forge installer and select Install Server, and the location you want it to be installed.Now that its been installed, double click on forge-1.12.2-14.23.5.2838-universal.jar to launch it. once you do that, the folders logs, mods, and eula.txt will appear in the folder.
Double click on the eula.txt to open it, and change the false to true. ctrl+s or click File then Save, then close the txt. Once that’s done, relaunch the .jar. You’ll see a bunch more files appear in the Server folder, and a window open up titled Minecraft server. Congrats! You now have a local modded Minecraft server! But we’re not here for that, we’re trying to create a server that anyone can connect to. Close the Minecraft server window.

Once you’ve downloaded the Forge program, it’s time to open it. Do this by simply double clicking on the icon. Windows Defender or your antivirus of choice may pop-up a warning notice. If this happens, just click more info, and then click run anyway. Forge has been downloaded by millions of people, and it is 150% safe. You’ve got nothing to worry about.
Another issue you may run into when opening Forge is that you don’t have the correct/most updated version of Java installed. Forge is a Java-based program just like Minecraft, and because of that, it needs you to have the correct version of Java install to work. If you don’t have the correct version, Forge should show you an error and open up the correct page. If it doesn’t, you can download the most recent version of Java here.

To install Minecraft mods to a server:
