Automatic Sugar Cane Farm

Minecraft Villager Crop Farm: Fully Automatic Tutorial 1.16

An automatic farm for sugar cane is fairly easy to make, but you will need to use some redstone for this one. Since sugar cane constantly regrows you dont have to worry about re-planting at all.

The harvesting of the sugar cane is handled using observers, pistons, and redstone. An observer is a block which sends a redstone signal as soon as a new block appears in front of it. In our case, the redstone will turn on when the sugar cane grows three blocks tall and this will activate the pistons to chop off the second sugar cane block. This will leave the bottom block intact and allow the plant to constantly regrow.

Once broken by the pistons, the sugar cane falls onto the dirt and a hopper minecart will vacuum these up as it travels back and forth . To get the minecart to travel back and forth, you just need to place the minecart onto a powered rail above a redstone block. For longer builds, you will need to add multiple redstone blocks.

This kind of farm works with other similar growing crops as well .

Ive built a sugar cane farm to show you how it works and feel free to copy this build into your game. Note that the build can be expanded as far as you want in each direction and it can also be mirrored to be double-sided if youd like. The build I have in the photos is four blocks deep, excluding the chest in the front.

Minecraft Survival Starter Farms

When youre playing survival mode, you probably wont want to waste too much time in making everything look visually appealing. If thats the case, then there are these nine farms that you can make, all of which can fill up hoppers with valuable resources.

Some require a tiny of input from you, but all of these builds are great for getting what you need quickly. One or two do require you to herd a mob to a certain location, but thats as tricky as each build ever gets.

Place A Flower And Surround It With Glass

Bees can pollinate using any flower. The next step is to put a flower on the dirt/grass block. Ensure that the flower is in front of the beehive. After placing the flower, surround it with glass blocks, as shown in the image above.

Players can use any building block in place of glass. After surrounding the flower, add 1-3 bees to the farm.

Best Automatic Xp Farms In Minecraft 2021

Here I will enlist the 25 best automatic XP farms in Minecraft. The chief characteristics, advantages, disadvantages, and the final products of each farm are different. You will be able to choose your farm from the given list. Lets not waste time and grab the best automatic XP farm for your Minecraft gameplay and Minecraft world.

How The Automatic Chicken Farm Works

Minecraft

Whenever an egg is fired, there is a random chance that baby chickens will spawn on the slab. Because there is nowhere for them to run, they will stand perfectly still in the center of the slab. Twenty minutes later, they will grow into an adult and get cooked by the lava above them. To finish the build, place the two glass blocks to the sides of the slab to prevent baby chickens from running away.

Because the chickens are dying by fire, they will drop already-cooked chicken for you. This automatic cooked chicken farm will average one cooked chicken per hour, per chicken. If you have 20 chickens laying eggs up top, you will average 20 cooked chicken per hour, for example.

This incredibly cheap automatic chicken farm is one of the most useful you can make, as it completely kills the need to worry about farming for food an absolute essential for any survival world.

Building The Mob Grinder

Well start from the bottom of the mob farm and work upwards. First, well build the mob grinder that hurts and holds the mobs you spawn.

1. Dig a 2×2 hole in the ground. It only needs to be one layer deep.

2. Place your four treasure chests into the hole, all facing the same direction. When you place two chests next to each other in the same direction, theyll merge into a large treasure chest.

3. Place your four hoppers on top of the treasure chests. Make sure to crouch while you place them, or youll just keep opening the treasure chests instead.

4. Place your slabs on top of the hoppers. Again, youll want to crouch while you do it.

If youve done it correctly, youve now got a three-layer mob grinder.

Next, well build the well and bridges.

Cute Minecraft Farm Idea

Youll encounter all types of farm ideas in Minecraft, but only an anointed few will be able to give you a cute look. Speaking of which, as far as cute Minecraft ideas go, this one definitely deserves a mention on the list. Its quite small, but dont doubt its compactness. You can build this farm in both the Bedrock and Java editions of the game.

The requirement of the resources for this build will be a bit different, however, as you will be needing some Dispenser blocks and Redstone as well. Get started with the build by placing three Dispenser blocks so all of them face the center and theres a one-block gap in the middle.

The next step is to dig out the center block with your trusty shovel and continue to break the block next to it as well. Doing so will make space for the water youre about to fill in these areas. Once youve got some water in there, you now have to place the original block backwhich was dirtand prepare the area using the till command. This will ready the surface and allow you to plant your seeds.

The popular choice that most players go with here is wheat. You now have to place Smooth Stone blocks in each corner of the dispenser and stack the base structure by one. The end result here will be a nicely crafted cute Minecraft farm.

Plant The Seeds And Add Some Redstone Magic

Players can plant carrots, potatoes, beetroot seeds, and wheat seeds on this farm. Now, plant the desired seed/crop inside the tilled blocks.

This farm needs basic redstone knowledge. Place redstone dust above dispensers by crouching and connecting them to a lever, as shown in the image. Players can also use a button instead of a lever to create a redstone signal in Minecraft.

Make The Collection System

How to Make an Automatic Wheat Farm (SUPER QUICK MINECRAFT TUTORIAL)

Players can either use a full hopper chain system or make a hopper minecart system. The minecart system is cheaper to build but has one downside. Sometimes, the minecart may get stuck due to Minecraft’s chunk loading/unloading.

Hopper chain system is costly but is easy to build and doesn’t break. To make a hopper chain, place a chest and connect the hoppers leading to it, as shown in the image. The hoppers should be right below the tilled land.

Players can make a simple hopper minecart collection system using some rail tracks, powered rail tracks, and Redstone. Make this system right below the tilled blocks so that the hopper minecart can collect it. Lead some tracks over hoppers going into chests, as shown in the image.

Minecraft is all about building, exploration, and survival, but a big part of the survival is grinding for food and material. Most settle for a block of water surrounded by tilled soil and slow crop growth. This is great and all, but most of the time we end up going out to tip some cows. However, a slept-on feature is Redstone. Redstone can be intimidating to both new and experienced players, but it opens up a world of opportunity and automation.

In this guide, I will be teaching you ways to automate some of your farms through Redstone Contraptions. I will try my best to explain how they are built and how they function throughout the guide. My goal is for you to gain the tools needed to incorporate Redstone in all of your builds rather than carbon-copying builds from Youtube. This guide is intended for Redstone beginners and intermediates, but you may find some use from this regardless of your skill level.

Steak And Leather Farm

The last thing that players want to worry about when playing survival is food. This farm solves that problem by providing a near-infinite source of cooked steak as well as leather. I used a design featured by RabidSmore over on YouTube. The overall design is pretty simple and not very costly in terms of resources. All that is required is a bucket of lava, a bucket of water, a few signs, plenty of building blocks like cobblestone, some soul sand, some glass, a couple of hoppers, and a chest.

Wheat is also needed to feed and lure the cows, but that is easily obtainable with a decent sized wheat farm.

Start by placing your chest wherever you want to pick up your steak and leather. Run two hoppers into the back of the chest, one behind the other. Place a block of soul sand on top of each hopper. When the farm is running, the cooked steak and leather will drop through the soul sand and into the hoppers. Surround the soul sand with your building blocks.

On the next layer, place glass blocks on the front and back of the farm and build up a layer of building blocks on the sides. On one of the building blocks closest to the front of the farm, place a sign. The sign will stop the lava flow.

On the next layer, build up the walls around the platform. A water source block will need to be placed on this layer using a water bucket at the back of the platform. You will need to place a sign on one of the building blocks on this layer to prevent water from flowing into the lava.

How To Make An Automatic Mob Farm In Minecraft To Easily Earn Xp And Items

  • To make a mob farm in Minecraft, youll need stone, trapdoors, chests, hoppers, slabs, and water.
  • Your mob farm will automatically spawn enemies and collect them into a single location with low health.
  • You can make mob farms in any version of Minecraft, but youll need a lot of resources to do it in Survival mode.

Even with the best armor and weapons, grinding for XP in Minecraft can take ages. Youve got to either wait for nighttime or go spelunking in a random cave, neither of which is very efficient.

But like most things in Minecraft, theres a shortcut.

With the right tools, you can build a massive mob farm, which will spawn and collect enemies for you. Theyll be reduced to almost no health as well, perfect for quick XP grinds. All their drops will be automatically collected into a treasure chest, and the XP orbs will sit there for you to collect.

Eight: Place The Observers

This part is also tricky and must be followed precisely for the Observers to be oriented correctly. In between every Piston is an empty space above the tilled Dirt. From above the farm, look down between the Pistons at the plants below. Move your crosshair to be on the top of the hitbox of the plant. Place the Observer. Use the image above as an example of where your crosshair should be. Place an Observer above every plant. These Observers will detect when a Pumpkin or Melon block has grown.

How To Wire Redstone For The Automatic Chicken Farm

Behind the hopper and dispenser, set up the redstone contraption shown above, with the redstone comparator’s arrow facing away from the lava, and the two redstone torches on it next to the bottom of the hopper. One block underneath it and to the side, place the redstone dust. Make sure to place your building blocks of choice exactly how the white quartz blocks are placed, too.

Village Breeder Minecraft Farm

Breeding in Minecraft has its own range of benefits. It allows you to expand your Minecraft world and populate the area with the characters of your choice. The Village Breeder Minecraft Farm is a simple, effortless farm idea that lets you trap two villagers and allow them to breed. This is an effort to have a passive source of offspring production, which this farm idea remains successful in doing so. As you can comprehend from the image above, the design uses a unique build. It comes to life with a combination of Glass Panes, Carpets, and Trapdoors.

You also have to implement Minecarts to transport the villagers in and out and, of course, get the babies to come out of the trap youll be creating on the farm. Keep in mind that youll have to make a small platform using slabs of any material to make the villagers stand on something. When the night falls, wait for your specimens to catch some Zs. Theyll wake up between the fences and will have to breed with each other, given the right conditions. Make sure youre supplying enough food and their willingness is on point for that to happen.
