Minecraft April Fools Update: Download New 2022 One Block Snapshot Today
The Minecraft April Fools Event have included special Snapshots and Screensavers in the past, and now gamers want to know what might be happening in 2022.
Heres what we know so far regarding Mojang and Minecrafts plans for Minecraft April 2022 and what it might mean for the immediate future.
Available In The Launcher
Check Enable snapshots to select snapshot builds.
To play a snapshot, first, download the Minecraft launcher. The download link is available at .
By default, you can choose and play release versions of Minecraft, e.g. 1.14.x, 1.15.x, 1.16.x and so forth. Also available are the development snapshots for the upcoming release, or for the most recent release if snapshots haven’t begun yet for an upcoming release. Usually, only the last snapshot in per week is available, except for the most recent week, in which they’re usually all available. Keep in mind that the exact list of snapshots available may vary, as it is at the discretion of Mojang which snapshots are listed. Snapshots are newer versions that have not been released as an update and are still a work in progress. Players can view said snapshots as well.
This picture shows the drop-down menu of versions to select to play Minecraft. This screen can be accessed by pressing “New…” or editing another version preset, both accessible by going to “Installations”.
To play a snapshot or previous version of Minecraft, go into the “Installations” tab and click the “Snapshots” option in the top-right corner.This allows you to play both the latest release versions and development versions by switching profiles on the launcher. Keep in mind that Minecraft doesn’t care about save data compatibility, so it is advised to use a temporary world when you test development builds .

Minecraft 119s First Snapshot Is Live
We thought it was going to be a little further off, but no Mojang has decided that you can play Minecraft 1.19 right now. As long as you dont mind digging into a very experimental beta version, that is. The first experimental snapshot for 1.19 is now available for Minecraft: Java Edition Players, and itll let you delve into the Deep Dark and meet the Warden.
You can get details on how to install the snapshot over on the official site, but bear in mind that you wont be able to open old worlds here. Youll have to create a new one, and its unlikely that youll be able to carry any worlds played on the experimental snapshot forward into future versions of the game.
This snapshot does not include every feature planned for 1.19, also known as the Wild update, but it does include the Deep Dark biome, the Ancient City biome, the Warden mob, sculk blocks, the swift sneak enchantment, and the darkness mob effect.
Once you start playing with the new features, though, bear in mind that this is still an experimental snapshot. That means that the devs are still experimenting with how all these systems will work, so any particular feature is subject to major tweaks going forward.

Additions And Changelog Of The Snapshot
The latest 1.19 snapshot released for Java Edition packs a lot of new additions and changes to the game. This particular snapshot focuses on the long-awaited Warden, the Ancient City, and the Deep Dark Biome.

Requirements To Test Deep Dark And Warden In Minecraft
To install and run the deep dark experimental snapshot, you need the following:
- Official Minecraft Java with the latest game launcher
- A PC running Linux, macOS, or Windows with specifications that can run the Minecraft 1.18 update
- Backups of your existing worlds as they might not be compatible with the snapshot
Additionally, keep in mind that the features in these snapshots are experimental. So, you can expect some bugs, glitches, and even crashes while trying it out. Not to forget, everything from new mobs to structures is not final yet, and the final release can look very different from the snapshots.

Create A New Installation

- When youve found it, download the .zip file
- Unzip the file, and move its contents to your PCs .minecraft/versions folder
- Start Minecraft Launcher
- Navigate to the Installations tab
- Name it, and choose the desired snapshot, which should now appear in the dropdown menu
- The Installation will now appear in the list, click Play

Minecraft Snapshot 21w05a is the newest Java update for Minecraft and it includes lots of new plant life. This is a pretty significant update that includes azalea bushes, cave vines, and new berries, and lots more!
Snapshots are small updates that are released every month or so for Minecraft and only available on Java. All these small updates are building up to the summer 2021 Minecraft Caves and Cliffs update, the next huge update for the game on all platforms.
The Caves and Cliffs update is going to change the face of Minecraft by introducing new plant life, lighting, and new biomes, both above ground and in the deepest and darkest caves.
All the new plants really add to the atmosphere of the game, such as the cave vines and glow berries in the caverns, and the brand new azalea bushes which youll find dotted around above ground.
Cave vines grow down from the ceiling just like weeping vines and once fully grown they have a chance to spawn glow berries. These are new light sources for caves. Oh, and foxes eat the berries!
Another new plant is the dripleaf. This needs moisture to grow its sort of in the name so it will only grow on clay or underwater. There are two forms of dripleaf small and big.
