How To Downgrade Minecraft Version

How To Downgrade Your Minecraft Server And Client

Following the below steps to easily downgrade Minecraft to an older version. This method applies to Minecraft 1.14.3 and its later versions.

  • Open Minecraft Launcher on your desktop or in the location you put it and sign in to your Minecraft account.
  • Click the Edit profile option.
  • Check the two boxes and select the Minecraft version you prefer in the drop-down menu.
  • Now, you can play the older version of Minecraft you chose just now. Yet, you can always go back to the version you have abandoned just now.

    Tip:

    • If you are playing a game in the Launcher, you have to quit it and restart the Launcher to switch Minecraft versions.
    • It is impossible to turn to an older Minecraft version on your iPhone or Android.

    Rename The Existing Gamedb File

At the end of this process, you will be renaming the auto-save file to game.db. When you do that, it will erase the existing game.db file and you won’t receive any warning about it being erased. If you want to keep a copy of the original game.db file then re-name it first, just in case you change your mind or it turns out you didn’t really need to roll back the server at all.

To rename the file, select it in the file manager, and click the “rename” button. Just tack something onto the end or beginning, like “old”. As long as it doesn’t have the same exact name it won’t be erased.

Change The Minecraft Version Via Launcher

In most cases where this error is reported, the problem occurs because your launcher is using a different version of Minecraft than the server youre trying to connect to.

The launcher defaults on using the newest version of Minecraft, but some servers arent able to immediately update to the new version, and thats what causes the Outdated Server error.

To fix this, you need to change the version of the launcher that your profile is using to the version that the server is using.

If you dont know how to do that, check below the exact instructions on how to change the version that your launcher is using:

  • Firstly, open the Minecraft launcher and click on Installations. Open the Installations menu
  • Now click on New installation and click on Version, then choose the version that the server youre trying to join is using. Choose the Minecraft version
  • After that, click on Create, then launch the game to see if you still encounter the Outdated Server error.
  • If the issue is still not fixed, move down to the next potential fix below.

How to Uninstall Plugins From Your Minecraft Server

While your server is online and running ARK creates multiple backups that you may use to easily roll back your server’s world to a previous version if needed. Below are a few steps to get you working in the right direction. Before you begin, take note of the active world you’re using. Any instances of < worldname> below would be replaced with the name of your active world.

To roll back your ARK server’s world:

    1. Log in to your server control panel and stop your server.

    2. From the left-hand sidebar, choose FTP File Access and then go to the location /ark/ShooterGame/Saved/SavedArks/.

    3. Locate your backups. The file called < worldname> .ark is your currently used world that will be loaded on startup. For example with TheIsland, the file would be named TheIsland.ark. All other files with dates and times after the world name are your backups.

    4. To restore a backup, rename < worldname> .ark to < worldname> .ark.backup, to store a copy just in case you’d like to use it another time.

    5. Pick any of the backups in this folder and rename it to < worldname> .ark, so that the file you just previously renamed is replaced by this backup file.

    6. Restart the server and the backup world will be loaded up.

How To Roll Back Your Conan Exiles Server

A Conan Exiles server will continually make auto-saves while it is running, and it is possible to “roll” the server back by using one of these auto-saves.

This is a fairly simple process, requiring only re-naming an auto-save, and restarting the server. It will load the re-named file and your entire server will be restored to a previous save point.

The save files store the entire server’s state, so rolling the server back will affect all players, pets, thralls, and structures. If you want to change only a single player’s information, that is actually a much much more complex process involving editing the database itself, and that is NOT covered in this guide.

    How To Restore A Backup

  • Head to the Game Panel and stop the server.
  • To the left of the game panel, click on the Backup tab.
  • Locate which world/date you want to restore and press Restore to the right of it.
  • Head back to the main page of the game panel and open the console tab. In the console, wait until the message Done, returned ok displays. Once it does, go ahead and start the server back up.

Make A Copy Of The Auto

If you’re not sure exactly which auto-save to roll back to, you might have to perform this operation several times a row. If you’re renaming the auto-saves one by one as you go, you’re basically erasing them as you go.

We highly recommend you make a copy of each file, and then rename the copy. Leave the original files there, just in case you made an error deciding on which auto-save you needed, and have to start all over from the beginning.

On the Nodecraft control panel, you can select one of the auto-saves, and then click the “copy” button. Select “up one folder” and it will be moved to the ConanSandbox. Then click the “rename” button, and change the file name to game.db.

but none of those is that 15 min auto save. and i cant find option to rollback.

With save files i should choose to do short rollback? and how? anyone can help please?

Hey,these are not backups, but every 15 minutes only the status from RAM is saved to the hard disk. These points cannot be restored explicitly.

For a backup there is the backup function in the web interface under “Tools -> Restore backup”.

The backups you have in the pictures are from the World Manager. This was changed. If you want to restore them, download them, unzip them and upload them via FTP to your server.

Restoring A World From A Backup

  • Log into Multicraft and stop your server.
  • Before you begin restoring from backups, we would highly recommend renaming your world folder so that it doesn’t cause unexpected results. We usually add old_ to the start of each world name before restoring. So if you’re world name was world we would change it to old_world. For information on how you can rename your world folder, you can read our guide about how to use FTP file access:
  • Select Backup from the menu on the left side of the screen.
  • Select which backup you would like to restore from the list and then select Restore at the far right of the list.
  • Confirm that you want the action to take place by pressing OK in the popup that appears.
  • Wait for the restoring to finish. You can see if it is finished by going to Console tab of the Multicraft system.
  • Once the restoring has finished, you can start your server.
