The controls change depending on your gaming PC or if you customized your control keys. In some gaming PCs, you need to press and hold the Shift key and Q to drop the items from your inventory therefore, if the control key is not working for you, try the other commands. Is There A Shortcut To Move Items Between Your Inventory And The Crafting Table

Is there a quick way to move items from your inventory onto the crafting table, just as you can move items between the inventory and an open chest with Shift

Items can be moved rapidly from your hotbar to the crafting table quickly by pressing the corresponding number while hovering your cursor over the desired destination slot in the crafting grid.

This is most useful when crafting a lot of something that takes only one ingredient.

  • craft a few of the destination items the “slow” way and use those items to reserve slots for that item in your inventory. At this point your inventory should be totally full, with some of the ingredient in slots 1 and 2 of your hotbar.
  • Arrange for a large amount of the ingredient to be on the ground at your feet. This can be done by breaking a chest full of only the ingredient.
  • open the crafting grid, move your cursor to the desired slot in the grid and press 1 and 2 to move the items into the grid. As you do this, more items will be picked up off the ground to replace them.
  • repeat steps 3 and 4 until no more items are on the ground.

It’s just a bug in Minecraft itself. I normally attempt to fix this by holding shift then pressing the chat button. Or doing it in reverse, while in chat, hold shift then press the chat button. Doing this normally fixes the bug and I can continue playing without having to restart Minecraft.

Shift + Click Not Working To Take Items From Chest

Minecraft Shift Click Bug FIX! (Tutorial)

I was playing Minecraft on a friend’s PC the other day and noticed that when I pressed Shift + Click on an item in a chest, it automatically went to my inventory. How do I enable that on my own PC?

This is a normal Minecraft feature. If it’s not working on your PC, chances are you have touch screen mode enabled. You can disable it through Controls Mouse Settings Touchscreen Mode.

Note: If touch screen mode is enabled, holding Click and dragging items work in place of Shift

Is There A Way To Stop Shift Clicking Items To Go Into The Right Side Of Your Inventory Instead Of The Left

Takyc said:I’m not sure if I’m the only one but for some reason, only on hypixel, when i shift click to quick move an item it moves itself to the right side of the hotbar. Its quite annoying as i like to have my sword etc on the left next to pearls or blocks. Is there a setting to change this and stop this from happening or is it something i just have to live with.

When I hit E to access the inventory interface, and I craft something, usually, I can press SHIFT and it automatically puts the item I craft into my inventory. But now, that does not work. I have to manually drag the item into my hotbar. I also cannot SHIFT click, when I am trying to craft multiple of the same items. I also have to manually drag each item into my inventory. I also have to manually drag items from a chest to my inventory, or vice versa. Basically, I cannot use SHIFT to automatically move items. Please help. Does anyone know why this is happening? If so, how can I fix it?

How Do You Move Items With Mass In Minecraft

In Minecraft, items need to be transported from one point to another, especially if you have many items. Moving items with mass from one location to another can be tiresome if you choose the wrong mode of transport. If you want to move items with mass in Minecraft, here are some modes of transport that you can use to make the experience easier.

If you want to move items from your base to a nearby location, you can use water channels and hoppers. If you want to move items to a location far away from your base, you can use donkeys, ender chests and shulker boxes.

Each mode of transport can transport items in different directions for example, water channels can move items horizontally while block elevators can move items vertically. You can also create your transport system that comprises different modes of transportation in Minecraft to move items from and into your base. Now let us look at each transport mode and how you can use it to transport items.

When moving items over a short distance, you can use water source blocks to create a water channel to serve you as a transport system. You can direct the water channel to the specific place you need to put the items and place the items in the water channel.

You can also add ice tracks in the water channel to make the items move faster. Water channels also have soul sand bubble columns that lift the items higher, making it the most efficient mode of transport.

I’m still having problems! I can’t even craft anything, it just moves it to wherever it would normally move with shift-click.

Oh, and since this is more or less on topic… sometimes when I shift-ctrl-click to move over all items of a type, NEI spawns in a stack of that item instead. Is that some kind of conflict between InvTweaks and NEI, and is there a way to change those key combinations? Before anyone asks, this happens on Windows, so it has nothing to do with Mac’s weird right-click mechanics.

Did Minecraft Or One Of The Tweaks Mods Take Away Shift

In 1.7 modded Minecraft I could have sworn it used to be that:

    • Left click an item stack to pick it up
    • Hold sneak/shift
    • Left click in another inventory, e.g. a chest

This action used to move all of that item into the destination inventory.

Now I’m on 1.12, and it isn’t happening.

I have no idea whether it was a Minecraft vanilla thing, or whether it was Inventory Tweaks or Mouse Tweaks doing it, but I still have both of those on 1.12 and it isn’t doing it anymore. :/

Does anyone know what used to do it?

You’re probably confusing two different Vanilla mechanics:

    • If you double-click on an item, you collect up to 64 items of that type on your cursor, even if they were in different stacks.
    • If you click one item and then shift-double-click on another, as many items from that other type move into the other inventory as possible. You do not click on an empty space in the other inventory

Of course it’s still possible that some mod added a redundant way to do the second thing, but I doubt it, because that would have been redundant .

    Move Items Quickly Minecraft

How To ALWAYS Shift+Click w/o Shift

When playing Minecraft, you can keep your valuable items in a chest if you do not want to use them immediately. Also, you can move the items from the chest to your inventory or from your inventory to your chest. Therefore, if you have many items in your inventory, you might be looking for the fastest method to move those items to your chest.

So, how do you quickly move items in Minecraft? Open the chest and press and hold the shift key on your keyboard. Select the item you want to move from the inventory to the chest and click on it. The items will transfer instantly to your chest, and it also works the other way round if you need to move items quickly from your chest to the inventory.

Suppose you have many items in the inventory press and hold the shift key and select one item on your inventory. Move that item and hover it on another similar item in the inventory and click on it. All the items will move to the chest with one click. This method also works if you need to move items from the chest to the inventory.

Chests play a significant role in Minecraft as they act as an insurance policy, ensuring that you do not lose anything you store in them when your character dies. Therefore, if you want to know more about chests and inventory in Minecraft, this is the guide for you. Read on to find out how to move items in Minecraft quickly, how to move items with mass in Minecraft, and how to take things out of your inventory in Minecraft quickly.

    How To Shift

To fast transport items from/to the Crafting Table in the PC version you have to press Shift

Checking the wiki for controls, it seems as though this may not be a functionality that has been added yet.

Touch definitely has its limitations, but it’s possible this could be added in the future as it is a very popular shortcut on PC.
