How Can I Start An Illager Raid Via Commands

How to Summon the Raid 100 Times in Minecraft – No Mods, No Addon

How can I start an illager raid via commands? I’ve looked into mob events but they don’t seem to trigger anything.

I’d prefer a solution where it not be required that the player is in a village for it to start.

Unfortunately, you have to be in a village to participate in a raid. Fortunately though, you can create your own village by only having 1 villager next to or near it’s linked bed. You can check to see if it is linked to a bed by checking to see if it sleeps in said bed at night. Once you do this, simply use this command and the raid will start.

Just note that if the villager is killed at any point between the start and end of the raid, the raid will be counted as a defeat.

To start a raid, use this command in the chat, and you will get the Bad Omen effect. To make a raid happen, just walk into a village in survival mode for it to start.

try this works on 1.16

The command is:

/summon pillager ~ ~ ~ minecraft:spawn_as_illager_captain

The three tildes means it will be summoned at your exact location. you can change this by replacing it with coordinates with a space in between:

/summon pillager 100 65 -57 minecraft:spawn_as_illager_captain

Hope this helped!

Iron Golems Are Great

Another way to assist in a raid is by having your own private army. Iron golems are sworn to defend villages, and pillagers are their mortal enemies. Iron golems will immediately attack any pillager in their sight and are a great distraction as well. Their large amounts of health and high attack power mean they’re very effective at crowd control and are even able to go toe-to-toe with the brutal ravager.

Placing iron golems near any entry points through your perimeter means any pillagers that do find their way through immediately have to deal with what is essentially an angry metal bear. Anything that will draw the pillagers away from your villagers is a plus, and the iron golems aren’t slackers. They’ll do their part to shrink the raid forces.

Find A Pillager Outpost

First, you need to find a Pillager Outpost in Minecraft. A Pillager Outpost is a structure that spawns naturally in the game near a . Because the Pillager Outpost generates near a village, it can appear in any biome that a village can.

Here is a picture of what a Pillager Outpost in the Taiga biome looks like:

TIP:

What Are The Pillagers

A pillager is a form of illager, meaning a mob that has the appearance of a villager but is typically hostile in nature and has different behaviors. The pillager joins the vindicator and the evoker as the only illagers currently in the game naturally.

The difference between pillagers and other illagers is that pillagers are quite common in Minecraft, and can be a regular threat to both the player and to any nearby villages. You can spot them by their grey skin, leather gear, and menacing scowls. They also come equipped with crossbows, a slower and more powerful version of an ordinary bow, that can strike you from up to 8 blocks away.

Found in pillager outposts, out on patrol at night, and during the hectic and violent raids against villages, players can run into pillagers quite often. They’re almost always aggressive and are particularly hateful towards villagers. Definitely keep an eye out for these grouchy hostile mobs.

How Do You Deal With Evokers

How to summon all types of raiders (with raiding A.I) | Minecraft Bedrock

The best way to handle an Evoker is to shoot it from a long distance before it even spots the player. This will prevent the Evoker from damaging the player and summoning the dangerous Vexes. If given the opportunity, players are highly recommended to take an Evoker out with a Bow or Crossbow.

How To Start Raids In Minecraft

Minecraft raids are an in-game event that can be triggered by players, they spawn waves of mobs that players have to defeat. Raids can be pretty tricky for some players, but for others, waves go by like a breeze.

Raids can grant players with some super cool rare items that they cannot get by looting in Minecraft. One of these items being the totem of undying. The totem grants the player one free life if they almost die in the Minecraft world.

Raids contain a bunch of new mobs that players may not have ever seen before. These mobs are called Evokers, Witches, Vindicators, Ravagers, Pillagers, and players may even see vexes flying around!

During raids, players will gain a lot of equipment dropped by mobs during raids. Armor is very common to find during a Minecraft raid, as well as shovels, lots of experience orbs, and glass bottles from witches can also be found.

Starting a raid is a good way for players to obtain a lot of experience, and also undying totems. Players will gain at least three undying totems from each raid and a maximum of eight totems.

Players should note that raids cannot be started with the game difficulty on Peaceful. The higher the difficulty, the more enemies will spawn, thus increasing the chances of obtaining more totems.

In this article, players will learn how to start a raid in Minecraft!

Step : Defeat The Raiders

How to Summon the Raid 100 Times in Minecraft

As soon as the raid begins, illagers will spawn and hunt down the villagers residing inside the village. Vindicators in a raid can open wooden doors of a house and break them if necessary. Each raid has its own number of waves depending on the games difficulty: three waves for easy, five for normal, and seven for hard difficulty. When the illager captain of the current wave is killed, all the remaining raiders will try and pick up the ominous banner dropped by the previous captain. If successful, the raider with the ominous banner becomes the new wave captain. Each raider killed in a single wave will slowly lower the raid bar progression until it reaches 0 and another wave begins. You must defeat all the raiders in each raid wave and defend the village to succeed.

How To Fight The Raid

In general, your task is to locate all raiders and eliminate them as fast as possible.

Ring the village bell to inflict the Glowing status effect on nearby raiders and find their location. Prioritize ravagers, evokers and witches. Witches heal other mobs while ravagers destroy crops and evoker firing highly damaging vexes.

Repeat this process until all waves are defeated. Once the raid is over, any player in the boundary of the village will get the “Hero of the Village” advancement and status effect. It lasts for 3 in-game days. The buff reduces trading costs and makes villagers gift you items.

What Happens After A Raid

After you’ve completed the raid, if there are any villagers left in your village, they will celebrate you as their hero. You’ll also gain a brand-new status effect known as Hero of the Village. While this status effect is active, villagers will throw various gifts at your feet. These gifts depend on their unique occupation, so farmers will tend to throw crops at you for example.

If a raid is too difficult for you to complete, you can also just run away. It takes about 40 minutes of real-time for a raid to simply expire, although all the Illagers still spawned within the village will be there as you return to it.

In case you’d rather not start a raid but have the Bad Omen status effect, the best way to get rid of it is to drink a bucket of milk.

Step : The Raid Begins

Upon entering a village, the raid bar will fill up until it is filled. When the raid begins, you will hear a loud horn, and the villagers will start panicking. The villagers will scurry into their homes, and a single villager will ring the bell back and forth, signifying the upcoming raid wave. The first wave of raiders will then spawn in the outer perimeter of the village and will make their way into the village, attacking all players, villagers, and iron golems in their path.

Step : Become The Hero Of The Village

How to summon a Raid in Minecraft

Once you have successfully defended the village from raiders during the final wave, the raid bar on top will appear as Raid Victory, and you will receive the Hero of the Village status effect. The surviving villagers will then shoot fireworks into the sky and gift the player items related to their corresponding profession. Upon receiving the Hero of the Village status effect, you can then trade with the villagers for a discounted price on each item on their trade menu. They will also continue to shower you with gifts until the status effect wears off.

The Loot Received From Raids

How to summon a raid in Minecraft

The best part about the raid is obviously the loot you get. These mobs are incredibly rare to encounter otherwise, so triggering a raid is a fantastic way to farm for some experience points as well as valuable items.

All mobs will drop their usual loot, and in Bedrock the loot is chosen from a special table that includes iron-tier gear, enchanted books, and emeralds. You’ll also be able to pick up the Ominous Banner.

Some of the best loot you can find is emeralds, usually dropped by Vindicators. Pillagers will drop their crossbows. However, the real treat is finding a Totem of Undying whenever an Evoker is killed.

That alone is a reason enough to begin a raid, since the only other way of finding this rare item is to travel potentially thousands of blocks away to a Woodland Mansion.

Types Of Enemies And Number Of Waves In A Minecraft Raid

It’s not just the Bad Omen status effect that affects the nature of the raid. Your world difficulty will have a significant impact on the number of waves you need to defeat, as well as the type of enemies included in each wave.

  • Easy: Three waves

Several different mobs can make an appearance depending on your difficulty and the wave. As the raid progresses, tougher enemies will be more abundant. Here’s what you’re likely to face:

  • Pillager: The easiest enemy, and most abundant across all waves. They will use crossbows to fight.
  • Vindicator: A tough, fast-moving enemy armed with an axe, and most common towards the middle and end of the raid.
  • Witch: They throw potions and heal the Illagers and Pillagers. Witches only appear in Normal and Hard towards the middle and end of the raid.
  • Evoker: The toughest Illager with the ability to summon Vexes and perform magic. Evokers only appear in Normal and Hard towards the end of the raid.
  • Ravager : The mount of the Illagers, Ravagers deal huge amounts of damage and appear on all difficulties towards the end of the raid.

Each difficulty also has an additional feature, where there’s a chance of the raid spawning one more additional Illager during a raid. For Easy, this likelihood is only one out of four, while for Normal and Hard it’s a fifty-fifty chance, making the fight even more difficult.

Kill The Patrol Leader And Get Bad Omen

Next, you must kill the Patrol Leader. Once you kill the leader, you will be cursed with a new status effect called . The Bad Omen effect is a new status effect that causes a group of hostile mobs to spawn and attack when a player with the Bad Omen effect enters a village. This event is called a Raid.

Fight Off The Raiders

The last thing the players need to do is fight off the raiders during each wave. The difficulty of the waves may increase after each wave progression. Players will need to be prepared during every wave and make sure they keep an eye out for the evokers.

Evokers will usually spawn around waves 5 – 7 only when the difficulty is on hard. Players will earn a totem of undying from these mobs.
