/12 Natural Caves Are Treasure Troves

Minecraft: MINING SIMULATOR!!! (MINE DIAMONDS & GET EXTREME PETS!) Modded Mini-Game

Minecraft players can often be placed in one of two categories. Generally speaking, most players are either the exploring/adventuring type or they’re the gathering/crafting/building type. Many players exhibit both, but everyone has their preferences at the end of the day.

Natural caves happen to be a place in which both types should explore. They have plenty of enemies for explorers, but the number of resources available that can be easily discovered will have the gatherers foaming at the mouth with excitement.

What Is A Chunk In Minecraft

Before going ahead with the mining guide and ore distribution, you may want to know what is called the chunk in Minecraft.

Its important since if you pay enough attention, you may know how many ores you can mine left in the current chunk or just go for a new place to mine.

A Minecraft chunk is a world area with the size of 16x16x319 blocks. Thats a total of 81664 blocks, including the air block.

To see chunks in Minecraft, simply press F3 + G. You will notice a lot of vertical lines indicating each chunk in the world.

Best Levels For Resources In Minecraft 118

Playing Minecraft and I realized something, Diamonds are more important than love

The best overall level truly depends on which resource is the most important. Depending on Minecraft players in the game, that could be anything. However, most players would probably agree that diamonds are the most critical resource to look for.

With that in mind, diamonds have a level that they are more commonly found at. When strip mining, players can visit Y level -58 or -59. These two levels have the highest spawn chances for diamond ore. They’re frequently found in caves, but these levels are excellent when strip mining.

Now, other resources are not as common on those two levels. For Redstone, the best place to mine is between Y level 0 and -64. On the other hand, for iron, it’s on Y level 16. Lastly, for copper, that level is 48. Emeralds are frequently found at level 232.

That doesn’t mean that Minecraft players won’t find those resources mining at other levels. If players elect to head down to Y level -58, they’ll find diamonds very frequently. They will also find Redstone, lapis lazuli, copper, iron, coal, gold and more.

Minecraft players won’t find those ores as commonly, but they will still find them. They can head to that level knowing that they’ll find a lot of diamonds and enough of others to get by.

Ever struggle to find any ores in Minecraft? In this guide, we will cover mining ores in Minecraft so you can easily find them all. Lets get straight into it!

/12 Be Efficient With Your Digging

Best of Minecraft Builds on Instagram: Awesome mineshaft entrance by ...

Unless the goal is to dig out an entire underground compound, the focus of mining is to maximize efficiency with every ounce of effort. One of the more efficient mining techniques is to first start by digging a long straight tunnel that’s two blocks high and one block wide.

Then on each side wall players will skip a block then dig as deep as they can one block up. By then skipping two spaces and doing this again it will maximize how many blocks can be seen while at the same time allowing the player to dig efficiently.

/12 Danger Is Worth The Risk

Danger comes in many forms in the world of Minecraft. Most people attribute danger in Survival Mode to the enemies, such as zombies and skeletons, that you can face off against at night or in dark areas of the map.

The truth is that the world itself is also dangerous, and that’s due to random lakes of lava that can be found when mining. This is in addition to the pitfall drops and other things that can pop up as you focus on collecting diamonds or other ores below the surface level. The risk is worth the reward, as long as you’re careful.

How To Find Diamonds In The 118 Update

The 1.18 Caves and Cliffs update added more underground layers in the Overworld. Now players can dig even further underground without hitting bedrock. Usually, Diamond is found under layer 12, but now if you get to these -Y levels, the odds of finding diamond significantly increase: -50, -64, -59, and -58.

It’s important to mention that bedrock now appears at Y level -60.

Other Tips And Tricks For Finding Diamonds

  • Don’t get too excited and quickly mine Diamond Ore. Make sure you check the surrounding blocks, first. If you don’t, you might find yourself surprised by a Lava flow and lose your treasure, or worse, your life.
  • Always bring lots of Torches. Mining is a dark job. If you want to ensure you can see, bring the necessary tools.
  • Lava does not guarantee Diamonds. Many players associate Lava with finding rare Ore, but that’s not the truth. Because Lava is most common in the same place that Diamonds are found, there is often a crossover.

What Is The Best Level/height To Find Coal Ore

Minecraft – Mine Entrance Tutorial (How to Build)

Coal used to appear between evenly between Y=0 and Y=125. This made things incredibly easy. Whatever material you were looking for would also help you uncover all the coal you could possibly need. With the newer ore distribution, however, coal is completely nonexistent below Y=0, where youre likely digging for diamonds.

You can find coal ore between levels zero and 256. There are two different sections of coal. One is a triangle shape, between Y=0 and Y=192, becoming more common as you approach Y=96 and less common as you reach those outer extremities. Because of this Y=96 is the best place to mine for coal in most areas. This isnt true 100% of the time, however. Theres a secondary distribution of coal that is only available in extremely high world heights. This one begins at Y=136 and extends all the way up to the world generation limit at Y=256. This shape is a rectangle, meaning the odds are static the entire way through. This second section does overlap with the first in some points meaning Y=136 is likely to have the most coal per chunk, making it the true best level to mine.

If you dont know what level youre at, hit F3 to display your current information and look for the XYZ values.

Its worth noting that you can still find copper, iron, emerald, and gold at these levels, but there are now more optimal heights if youre searching specifically for those materials.

How To Install Plugins Through The Plugin List

Here at Apex Hosting we have a great curated list of plugins from Bukkit and Spigot that is directly integrated in your panel. This will be one of the easiest ways to install plugins on your Java server.

  • Login to your Apex Hosting Panel and select the server you want to install the plugins too.
  • Select Plugin List on the left hand side of the panel.
  • On this page you can select either Bukkit or Spigot as your source. The only difference may be the results you get. Both sources of plugins should work on the server.
  • You can then search for specific names of plugins or by category. Once you find a plugin you wish to install click on it.
  • Now at the top of the page verify that there is a compatible version for your server version, e.g. If your server is running Paper 1.16.5 you will want to make sure there is a version that states compatibility with 1.16.
  • Once you verify there is a compatible version you can select it in the Version dropdown menu. Then click install to the right! You can verify the process has completed by checking your server console.
  • Once the process is complete be sure to restart your server for the plugin to load.
  • /12 Patience And Understanding

There’s no getting around the fact that mining for resources is a tedious task that can get boring and best pairs with an entertaining podcast or music of some sort. Some people find solace in the monotony, while others would rather be doing anything else in Minecraft.

The game rewards patience and players who commit can be rewarded with better tools that are not only faster when it comes to mining but can double and/or triple the number of resources gathered per block that is mined.

The Tools You’ll Need To Mine For Diamonds

Mine entrance and storage room : Minecraft

Before you set out on your caving or mining adventure, you need the right tools.

    • The most important item is an iron pickaxe. Diamond ore can only be mined with an iron pickaxe or better . If you try to mine diamonds with a stone or wood pickaxe, the block will break but you won’t get anything from it.
    • Bring along a generous supply of torches. Torches will light your way as you mine, making it harder for enemies to get the drop on you. You can craft torches by placing a piece of coal on top of a stick. Craft coal by burning wood, if you don’t find some while digging.
    • You’ll need food to heal and stave off hunger. Anything edible will do, but if you can cook steaks or chickens before heading off, do it you never know when you’ll need the extra health.
    • Extra weapons can help you out in a pinch. While you can use your pickaxe if you need to, having a good sword and shield is always a better option.

You can craft these tools as you dig, but don’t break or use them all before you find your diamonds remember that you’ll have to make a return trip.

How To Find Diamonds Without Mining

Although mining is the most surefire way to find diamonds, you can find them already mined out in the world.

There’s a small chance to find diamonds in village treasure chests. Desert temples and mineshafts might hold diamonds in their treasure chests too.

The most common place to find chests with diamonds is in buried treasure chests. These are chests buried underground, usually on beaches. You can find these chests using explorer maps, which themselves can be found in shipwrecks underwater.

Once You Get To Layer 15 Keep Digging

You’ll hit diamond territory at layer 15, but go ahead and keep digging. Diamonds only get more common the deeper you go, so go as deep as possible for the best results.

But remember that diamonds are rare, even in low layers. It might take a long time for you to find any. And of course, there’s always a chance that you won’t find any at all before you need to head back home.

But once you find diamond ore, mine it with the iron pickaxe and collect your prize. Most diamond comes in a “vein,” meaning that there will be multiple diamond ore blocks connected to one another. Mine all the diamonds you can see, and then move on.

    /12 Dig Around Other Resources

A nifty little secret developers of Minecraft implemented into the game’s code is that some resources tend to spawn near other resources. Redstone is known for being a point of interest since diamond blocks can often be found touching or in the vicinity of the glowing red rock.

Whenever a player comes across resource blocks it’s in their best interest to dig a bit around where it’s located, because more often than you would assume you could come upon a nice surprise in the form of a hidden reward.

    Mining Nether Quartz And Gold

Minecraft, But Mining Ores is OP!

    Exploration

When searching for nether quartz and gold, a good way to find a large amount is to just explore, as you wander the nether, you will come across lots of exposed nether quartz and gold ore, you can then mine it. This method is both fast and interesting, but also more dangerous, as compared to mining underground, there will be many hostile mobs, and it will be more likely to fall into lava pits. It is also almost impossible for netherite to generate exposed to air, so it cannot be found this way.

    Strip / Branch mining

This type of mining can be done at any level, and will mostly get you the same amount of quartz and gold, but this method is a lot more bland, but safer, and can get you ancient debris. This method is done similarly to in the overworld, but is more dangerous as you will run into many little lava pockets. The best way to prevent this is carry a bucket right next to your pickaxe since you can only run into source blocks.

Ancient debris is used to make netherite. When ancient debris is smelted in a furnace or blast furnace, it becomes netherite scrap. 4 netherite scrap and 4 gold ingots can then be crafted into one netherite ingot.

    Strip / Branch mining

    TNT mining

TNT mining is considered to be one of the best methods for finding ancient debris. Netherrack has a very low blast resistance, which means that TNT mining exposes more area in Nether than in Overworld, while ancient debris, unlike the ores found in Overworld, can’t be blown up.

Fast 12 Shaft With Little Resource

The 1Ã2 shaft design. “S” is water source, brown squares are signs, placed in numeric order.

One of the fastest ways to descend in the game is indeed falling, but climbing ladders is not a fast method of upward transport at all. You may be thinking, having a soul sandbubble column would be fast, but unfortunately you won’t get that one block of soul sand without going to the Nether, which you might access by obtaining the very obsidian you gather deep underground. Luckily, there is a fast method of upward transport that you have access to without much resources at all: sprint swimming and jumping at the same time. Sprint swimming is already fast, and if you hold down forward, sprint and jump at the same time while looking directly upwards, the effects add up, and you can rise at a speed of 6.98 m/s, 3 times the speed of climbing up ladders, even in a downward flowing column of water. So based on this mechanic, here I present to you the least resource-intensive 1Ã2 vertical shaft design for early game.

    Materials

    • some blocks to block off caves

    Procedure

First, dig a 1 by 2 pit in the ground. place a sign in one of the spaces attached to the side, and the water in the other space.

What Are Diamonds Can What Do They Do In Minecraft

Diamonds are a rare mineral in Minecraft and can be sure to make some of the best gear in the game. Sometimes you get lucky and find a handful all in one location. Other times, you’ll just find one. A great tip for mining them is to enchant your axe with Fortune so that more than one will drop when you mine diamonds. Diamonds can be used to craft a series of different items.Listed below are all the items you can craft with Diamonds.

    • Block of Diamond

Diamond can also be used to craft netherite armor, tools, and weapons. Netherite is primarily used for end-game situations, raids, or PvP.

    Dealing With Cave Spiders

The hardest part of conquering an abandoned mineshaft isn’t about finding one or fighting some of the regular mobs like zombie variants, skeletons, and creepers. The challenge comes from the unique cave spider mob that inhabits these mineshafts. There can be several cave spider spawners scattered around, usually encased in a lot of cobwebs.

You have two options when it comes to the actual spawner itself: either you destroy the spawner and take the experience points, or you clear the area around it and place torches around to stop the spawner from working. That way you can use it later for experience points, although spiders are difficult to farm due to their small size and ability to climb walls.

There are still a few ways to make a spider spawner work. Cave spiders, in particular, are the easiest early-game spawners to farm since most of them often spawn in close vicinity of one another. For a good tutorial on cave spider farming, check out Kmond’s tutorial on a simple design.

The cave spiders themselves are smaller than regular spiders. They can fit through a one-block wide space that’s half a block tall, which makes them insanely hard to evade. They deal one heart of damage and inflict a Poison status for seven seconds in Normal difficulty. In Hard, they deal one and a half hearts of damage, and their Poison status lasts for 15 seconds. For Easy, they only deal pure damage worth one heart and inflict no Poison status.
