There Will Be A Mob Vote
Another exciting feature of the Live event, the mob vote, was revealed in the trailer video. For many years, Mojang has been giving the community some control over which feature gets added to the next update via the mob vote. This includes mobs, biomes, and more.
It has been confirmed that Mojang will be bringing back the mob vote system where players can choose which mob gets added to the game with the Minecraft 1.20 update.
However, unlike every previous mob vote, this vote will not be conducted on Twitter. This time, Mojang is innovating and adding a way to vote for the mob from inside the game itself. Players will be able to enter a special multiplayer area where they will be able to vote for the new mob.
Additionally, Mojang will also be updating the official game launcher to feature the mob vote there as well. This way, only those who actually own and play the game will be able to vote for the new mobs.

Along with the announcement date and the new mob voting system, some of the new Minecraft 1.20 update features are expected to be revealed during the live stream.
Even though Mojang has not mentioned anything about the new features, spectator mode in Bedrock Edition, a new main menu UI for Bedrock, Bundles, and more are expected to be added with the next update.

The New Minecraft 120 Mobs Are The Camel And Sniffer
So far there are two new mobs coming in Minecraft 1.20: the camel, which Mojang chose itself as a new desert-dwelling mount, and the sniffer, which won this year’s community mob vote.
Camels will be found hanging out in desert villages walking, sitting, and flopping their little ears. A new block type called hanging signs will arrive in the 1.20 update. This block is a more expensive version of the regular sign block and can be crafted with any type of stripped logs and chains.
Hanging signs can be placed just about anywhere and every sign type comes in three different variants. These variants are as follows:
- A hanging sign can be hung from the side of a block and will be facing sideways. This variant will hang off of a special post with the chains attaching it to the hanging post.
- The second variant is the base version and simply hangs with two chains under any regular block.
- The final variant also has two chains but these chains go up and join to make a triangle shape. This variant is made when the hanging sign is hung under something narrow like a fence.

Of course a new Minecraft update has to come with new blocks after all, blocks are quite literally what make the sandbox game what it is. For the Minecraft 1.20 update, those new blocks are bamboo, fitting somewhere between the wood block family, and bamboo itself.
This new block is great for a number of reasons. Firstly, it adds another use to the fast-growing bamboo plant, which before now was only used for feeding pandas and building scaffolding.
