The Best Way To Find Diamonds In Minecraft 117
Anybody would want to know how to find Diamonds in Minecraft, one of the rarest, strongest and most valuable crafting resources in the game. Until recently, the Minecraft 1.17 update had made it hard to find Diamonds – not on purpose, but because of a bug that affected the way they spawn. Fortunately that now seems to have been fixed, so aspiring warriors and mineralogists alike can explore Minecraft with the knowledge that Diamonds aren’t quite so hard to find . We’ll show you how to find them in our guide below.
At Which Level Are Diamonds Found In Minecraft 118
One of the biggest changes in Minecraft 1.18 is the expanded world generation to adapt to the new biomes. With this update, the highest point in Minecraft is located at 320 blocks, and the deepest point is at -64 blocks. Thanks to that, you can expect more ore blocks throughout the area in the game. But you will also have to go a little deeper to find rare ores like lapis, redstone, and of course, diamonds. Though, once you master the vertical distance to find diamonds, the rest is all about the technique.
If we refer to the official notes released by the developers, diamond ores only generate below Y=16 world height. Here, Y refers to the world height, and its value stands for in-game blocks. And it goes all the way down to level Y=-64, which is better known as the bedrock layer. Here, you can find diamond deep slate ores that function similar to regular diamond ores but are darker in color.
Also, as compared to regular ores, deep slate ores generate a higher volume as a group. So, the deeper you go, you will find a much higher concentration of diamonds ore. This means you can find maximum diamonds between levels Y=-58 and Y=-64. And since its a diamond ore, this distribution stays true for all Minecraft biomes. Not to forget, diamonds can not generate in the Nether dimension, so avoid wasting your time there unless you are looking into chests.
What Is The Best Level/height To Find Iron
Iron used to appear consistently between Y=0 and Y=60. It didnt matter what height you were at as long as there was earth on that level. All of this has changed. Theres a decent chance of getting iron between levels 72 and -64, but there are extra factors now. Iron ore becomes increasingly more likely to spawn between Y=-24 and Y=56 as you approach Y=16. As a result, for many biomes, iron has the highest odds of spawning at Y=16. Mountains, however, throw us a curveball. If you can manage to find somewhere on the map with mountains high enough, iron ore has the highest possible chance to spawn around Y=232. Once you hit Y=80, iron starts to generate more and more until it reaches that point. The higher you go, the better.
If youre trying to make a call on when its worth switching, at about Y=152 youll probably find more in the mountains than you would underground. There are exceptions we cant predict, however, and those are the large iron veins that can sometimes be found. While were yet to find one, if youre good at following the veins as they tunnel through the earth, you can feasibly walk away with hundreds and hundreds of iron all connected in a row. Those are located much further down into the ground, however. If youre into caving, that could be a solid option. But if youre mainly focused on branch mining, stick to the high mountains whenever possible.

How To Find Diamonds Without Mining
Although mining is the most surefire way to find diamonds, you can find them already mined out in the world.
Although rare, there’s a chance to find diamonds in village treasure chests. Desert temples and mineshafts might hold diamonds in their treasure chests too.
The most common place to find chests with diamonds is in buried treasure chests. These are chests buried underground, usually on beaches. You can find these chests using explorer maps, which themselves can be found in shipwrecks underwater.
Where To Find Minecraft Diamonds In 2022
After digging down to Y:-58, the most optimal way to find Diamonds is by using the “branch” or “strip” mining technique in Minecraft. This method is carried out by mining two blocks one at eye level and the one beneath in a straight line and then branching off into other tunnels. Furthermore, there are multiple forms of strip mining.
For instance, players could mine in a straight line for a hundred or so blocks. Instead of digging down another whole set of paths along the walls, they could choose to mine only the blocks at eye level. This approach allows players to expose the blocks above and below within a small hole. On the other hand, Diamond hunters could also use the “trapdoor method,” where they fit themselves into a one-block hole using a trapdoor and continue strip mining. The clever trapdoor technique in Minecraft can save a good deal of time, but it requires players to carry trapdoors with them and can sometimes be challenging to pull off.
Minecraft is available on PC, Android, iOS, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

Blowing up the place with a TNT is one of the most efficient ways to mine. But, before you opt into using explosives, be warned that blowing up a TNT on caves can alert monsters. You will have to kill a large number of enemies for gunpowder and get a lot of sand. If you have a massive amount of TNT, you can detonate one at a time, break through a large clump, or place your block every five meters to successfully expose the diamonds.
TNT is 100% accessible using the Java Edition, but the method isnt viable using the Bedrock edition.

Minecraft Famous Landmark Build
When you’re thinking about Minecraft builds, it’s always best to take inspiration from real life architecture. The truly spectacular creations are often the landmarks that are known all over the world. Places like the Taj Mahal, recreated above by YouTuber “Vexel Design”. Or the Eiffel Tower, or Stonehenge, or the Statue of Liberty. Hell, why not the Grand Canyon if you’re in the mood for some landscaping? You could even try recreating the Library of Alexandria !
Use The Strip Mining Method
Strip mining is a lot less fun than it sounds. It involves mining literally everything in search of rare Ore. To strip mine, get to the required layer and dig an outline of a box around yourself. This will leave you with a cube of blocks in the middle. Simply mine it away to create a large open area. You’re bound to find what you’re looking for this way, but it’s very time-consuming. You’ll also gain a lot of materials and create a large area to build in!

How Does Enchanting Work In Minecraft
To enchant an item, right-click on an Enchanting Table and pop the item in the first slot. Three options for enchantments will appear for you to select.
Place 1-3 Lapis Lazuli in the second slot to unlock the different available enchantments .
Hover over each enchantment to see the enchantment type and level. Then click on the desired enchantment to apply it to your item. That’s all there is to it!
Actually that’s a blatant lie. There’s an awful lot more to enchanting than meets the eye. As well as surrounding your Enchanting Table with Bookshelves, another way to increase your chances of getting high level enchantments is by increasing your XP level. An XP level of 30 will unlock the most powerful enchantments.
It’s also worth knowing that the material type of the item you’re enchanting has a bearing on the likelihood of more powerful enchantments appearing. The material type with the highest “enchantability” is Gold, followed by Netherite, then Leather and Chain or Wood and Iron .
An item can hold multiple enchantments, as long as they don’t conflict with each other . You can’t have an item with two of the same enchantment type, but many enchantment types have different levels of power. Sharpness, for example, has five levels, with Sharpness V offering the highest damage potential.

Minecraft: Where To Find Diamond Ore In Version 118
Like other Minecraft materials, diamonds generate in “blobs” of multiple ore blocks. These blobs can be found in two separate batches located in different locations.
The first batch generates blobs of up to five ore blocks between height levels Y=14 and Y=-63. For this particular batch, the lower users go in height towards Y=-63, the more abundant the diamond ore spawns should be.
The second batch generates in blobs of up to 23 ore blocks and can be found between the same height levels. This means that the best locations gamers can expect to find diamond ore in regular Minecraft 1.18 worlds are at Y=-63 and levels slightly above it.
It’s important to remember that these parameters are based on how the title generates its ore distribution. There are no concrete guarantees on the location that certain ores will be found. However, the outlined height levels should maximize the opportunities for players to find diamond ore in their environment.
To see Minecraftwiki, click here.
With that in mind, those who begin at Y=-63 and work their way outwards and upwards should be able to find their fair share of diamonds.
Bringing Minecraft enchantments such as Fortune and Efficiency on a powerful pickaxe should allow users to plow through the height layers of a given world. Despite deepslate blocks at the lower layers being somewhat stronger in hardness than ordinary stone blocks, the right enchanted pickaxe can still easily tear through the blocks on the way to diamond ore.
