How to Join Friends on Minecraft Bedrock! (Xbox)

To play on Minecraft Pocket Edition together, you and your friends should be in the same area/vicinity as this works locally only.

  • Go to Settings, and on local server multiplayer, set the setting to on.
  • Launch the game and sign in with a Microsoft account.
  • Create a world, and once it loads, go to the menu again.
  • Select your friend and send them the invite to join you in Minecraft.
  • How To Add Cross

In a very similar method to inviting friends, those on console versions of Minecraft have a particularly easy way of playing with people on other platforms. From the in-game menu, go to the “Invite to Game” sub-menu to be shown a list of the online and offline friends for that specific platform, however, at the bottom of this menu, there will be an option to “Find Cross-Platform Friends”.

Select this option to find a menu where one can search for the desired ally’s Gamertag and all the same options for adding them as a friend or favorite.

ok but the issue should be the same, even if you are using a phone you are still using an xbox live / Microsoft account, Am I right? If you are not able to add friends it’s because you have some xbox live limitations

You should consider that now “xbox” includes all Microsoft gaming on console, PC and mobile devices 🙂

Players can also join Realms, which are servers that stay online all the time and dont require a host to be currently playing.

You can send invites to your Realm via your Friends tab or invite via a link if youre playing on a PC. Clicking the link will launch the Minecraft app. Console players will need to be invited via friends list.

After joining the Realm for the first time, you will be able to return to it whenever you want from your Friends tab. The Reams youve joined will appear under Joinable Realms, as long as the Realm is still online.
