Start by mining ice blocks with your silk touch tool of choice until you have enough to make a path.

Upgrade The Map To Level 1
To upgrade the size of you map, you need to upgrade your map from Level 0 to Level 1. To do this, add the Level 0 map and 8 more paper to the 3×3 crafting grid.
The newly crafted map will now be upgraded to a Level 1 map which is larger than the previous. When you open this map, it won’t be completely filled in.
You will need to travel around in the world to fill in the detail.
Cartography Table Feature: Making Maps Smaller
In the cartography table- introduced in minecraft 1.14, players should be able to make a map smaller by adding shears . The shears will take one point of durability damage and the map will be changed from 128*128 —> 64*64 You can do this two more times to create a 32*32 and finally a 16*16. How To Increase A Maps Zoom Level
There are 5 different levels at which a Map can be zoomed. After you initially create a Map, it will be at level 0/4, however, you can upgrade it to 4/4 by using a Cartography Table and additional pieces of Paper. You must use the Map and 1 Paper to increase the Zoom Level on a Cartography Table.
At the lowest Zoom Level, a Map will display every block in the surrounding area as 1 pixel each. This gives you a very clear picture of the terrain, though, as you expand your Map, this ratio will change. For each upgrade level above 0/4, the view will zoom out more, resulting in you seeing more of your surroundings but from further away and in less detail. Also, when you upgrade your Maps Zoom Level, you can display more of the world.
Heres a breakdown of every Zoom Level of a Map and what it shows:

Upgrade The Map To Level 4
To upgrade your map to the largest size, you need to upgrade your map from Level 3 to Level 4. Add the Level 3 map and 8 more paper to the 3×3 crafting grid.

Mojang regularly holds votes for players to participate in, giving them a clearer view of what players want.
During this years 2021 Mob Vote, three helpful mobs were being considered for later releases of Minecraft.
These mobs included the copper golem, the glare, and the allay.
The copper golem was a mob that would help the player by pressing any nearby buttons on repeat until the copper they were made of oxidized to the point of freezing them.
The player could then scrap the little robot-like creature or brush off the oxidation with their ax.
The glare was a grumpy but friendly creature that would float in areas that were dark enough for mobs to spawn.
These would help players eliminate vulnerable corners and crevices within their home bases and could be carried around in the players inventory.
Although fans loved the glare and the copper golem, it was the allay that ended up winning.
The allay is a small, flying mob that picks up resources that are scattered along the ground.
Players can choose to keep them at home or carry them along on their adventures.
However, allays will always get distracted from their job if theres a note block in the area.
Instead of collecting materials, the allay will drop all of their resources off at the note block and begin to dance instead.
For players with large farms, the allay can serve as the perfect harvester.

How To Use A Map In ‘minecraft’
Now you have an “empty map,” which isn’t particularly helpful. Fortunately, it’s easy to fix.
Simply equip and “use” the map to instantly draw a picture of everything around you. The game will also now assign a number to the map so it won’t be called empty anymore.
As you walk around with the map up, more and more of your surroundings will be filled in. You can track yourself with the tiny white marker.
Of course, your “Minecraft” world is bigger than what’s shown on the map. Once you leave its range, either make a new map to keep tracking yourself, or zoom your original map out.
You can zoom out your map by combining it with eight more pieces of paper at a crafting table, or only one more piece of paper at a cartography table. This can be done up to four times, and each zoom level doubles the map’s current range.

However, Minecraft worlds have a clear limit to them that few players ever reach.

The border of the world became a wall of bedrock in an update that came shortly after the public release of the game.
Players found that they werent able to build on the outer tiles of the map and couldnt build on the bedrock.

Although the Far Lands were the result of a coding malfunction, they became an infamous part of early Minecraft.
