How Do I Give Players Already Enchanted Tools/armour/weapons

How to Give Yourself Items in a No Cheats Survival World (Mnecraft Bedrock- 1.16.1 Glitch)

I’m making a map where I want players to be able to choose there kits/classes. The problem I’m having with it though is giving players already enchanted Tools/Armour/Weapons.

I’m not sure if you can use the /give because you’ll have to use the whole thing and I’m not sure how to make enchanted Tools/Armour/Weapons using that.

Can anyone help?

This answer is for 1.12 or before. Refer to this answer by pppery for 1.13 and later.

You can set up some simple commands with command blocks, and let players click the button of each command block so that they receive the enchanted items.

You can use the following command to give players enchanted items

This is the general command:

You put all enchantment tags between , each with both id and lvl tags wrapped together by curly braces .

You can also add in the clear inventory command to ensure they don’t get kits twice.

Remember the highest level for the enchantment is level 32767.You can stack enchants as many times as you want such as:

After setting up the command blocks, put buttons and the players can choose by clicking them.

You can also put enchantments onto things that normally cannot be enchanted or have that specific enchantment. For example, you can do the command stated above to give you enchanted blocks. But, enchantments will NOT affect how the thing works normally. For example, enchanting Thorns on a dirt block will not hurt players when they come into contact with the enchanted block.

Add Commands To An Npc

You can add commands to an NPC that the NPC will execute after a player closes their dialog window. Unlike a Command Block, a single NPC can execute multiple commands.

To add commands to an NPC, follow these instructions:

  • Right-click the NPC you want to edit.
  • Click Advanced Settings.
  • Enter the Command you want to execute. Make sure you only enter one command in this field.
  • If you want to add more commands, click the Add Command button and enter the commands you want to enter.
  • Your NPC will execute these commands in order whenever a player interacts with them and closes their dialog box. For a list of commands that your NPCs can execute, see Commands.

    Quick Guide To Spawning Items

Minecraft comes loaded with an easy to use command to give yourself or any other player items. Unfortunately, this command only works on PC and the Pocket Edition, console is not supported. All youll have to do is enter the command /give < Player> < Item> < Amount> . For a more in depth breakdown of using this command, scroll below to jump directly to a full guide.

Firstly, we need to enable cheats within our game. This is done differently in singleplayer and multiplayer. In singleplayer, youll need to make sure you check the Enable Cheats option before creating your world. If playing on a multiplayer server, you will typically need to have admin privileges to use the command. For help with this, contact your game server administrator to set up admin access.

Now that you have the proper privileges, you can begin spawning items for yourself and others. Lets take a look at the command in a little more detail.

Minecraft Item IDs & Item Spawning Guide

I’m trying to make a custom npc map for myself.I need a command that will summon a weapon that has low durability so it can by dropped by the npc.

Can anyone give me an example on how to do it?

    • You’ve described your problem well enough, but it often helps to also include things you’ve already tried. For instance, if you already have the NPC dropping the weapon, include how you did that. MBraedleyJan 9 ’16 at 15:23
    • Hello and welcome please use the tags to define your game and platform instead of writing it in the title. VahxJan 9 ’16 at 15:24
    • I’m using the custom npc mod and I need a command that spawns a weapon with half durability so I put that item in his inventory so when he dies, Out comes that tool or weapon.

Another thing that should be taken into account is that you cannot change the maximum durability of an item unless you use some sort of datapack or mod, but other than that you can change the number of uses it has left.

    In 1.13 and after:

The /give command can do this.

    The syntax is:

    /give < player> < item>

To give tools with less durability, just increase the .

This will give a diamond sword with full durability:

This will give a diamond sword with 50 durability missing:

This will give a diamond sword with 100 durability missing:

I think the first is cooler, but either works. You can use Essentials Kit/Spawn. Just add your items into the Kit part of the config and add the kit to the Spawn part of the config. More information can be found here: http://wiki.ess3.net/wiki/Command_Reference/Kits

New players join there and old players will respawn where they left off or can go to spawn with /spawn. Just note that when only when a player first joins is when they can spawn there, after that spawn is spawn.

    minecraft-commandsminecraft-java-edition

I fell into the void and I lost all of my netherite. Is there any possible solution to this. I have looked up different commands to use and none of them work. A lot of them say to load your backup world but I don’t have one. What should I do?

    Best Answer

Unfortunately there is no way to retrieve your inventory whole as it was. You will have to replace each item yourself.

If you are playing singleplayer with cheats, you can enter creative mode to spawn and enchant netherite equipment with no material or experience cost. The command for this is /gamemode creative

If you are playing singleplayer without cheats, a workaround to the disabling of cheats is to open the singleplayer world to LAN using “Open to LAN” from the ESC menu. This will give you the option to enable cheats for as long as the world is open to LAN. Once you are done, you can exit and rejoin the world to make it behave like a singleplayer world again.

If you are playing multiplayer and you are the owner, you can either give yourself items through the server console, or give yourself operator status and switch your gamemode to creative.

If you are playing multiplayer and you are not the owner, you will have to contact the server administrator and ask them about retrieving your items.

Minecraft: Using Console Commands To Get Invisible Item Frames

It is important to keep in mind that this method is currently only available to Java players as of Minecraft 1.17. Since the invisible item frame is not considered an independent entity in Minecraft: Bedrock Edition, the method won’t apply the same. This may change in the future, but for now this method is restricted to Java Edition.

If players are unable to execute the chat command, it may be because they have opened a world where cheats are not permitted. In order to fix this, all Minecraft players need to do is open their world to LAN connections. Once they do so, they should be able to enable cheats via their settings and enter the needed console command without issues.

This applies differently to multiplayer servers and worlds, as commands are restricted to what certain player permissions allow. For example, server admins or devs may have the ability to use console commands, but the same may not be true of standard players. This varies depending on the multiplayer server in question.

Invisible item frames open up a ton of decorative options for Minecraft players, allowing them to combine tools and items with the direct texture of a block. Players on multiple Minecraft decoration sites have sported impressive uses for this mechanic such as creating things like smartphones or computer access panels for modern Minecraft creations by using things like banners with invisible item frames.

How To Get An Invisible Item Frame In Minecraft

How to give items on Minecraft

For dedicated Minecraft decorators, sometimes having a frame around an item placed on a surface doesn’t quite capture the look desired.

Some players have posted visuals showing their tools and items placed on surfaces without a standard frame around them. Item frames by default possess a certain appearance in vanilla Minecraft, somewhat limiting players hoping to achieve a more worn-in decorative approach.

Fortunately, there is a fix for this by using Minecraft: Java Edition’s console commands, enabling players to place item frames that essentially appear invisible to the naked eye. This presents items in a much different way, making them appear as if they are placed upon the surface itself.

How To Become The Admin Of A Minecraft Server

Assuming that you have been following all the guides leading up to this page, you should have a folder with all the server files in it. Inside the folder there will be a text document that you can open in Notepad called “ops.txt”. Enter your name as it appears on Minecraft, into that document and save it.

This will make a mod of the server first. Then, if it is not already there, create another text document called “admins.txt” and drag it into your server folder. Open it and type your Minecraft name as it appears into the file and save it. You are now the admin of the server. This will give you access to a variety of Minecraft commands, some of which I will be going over below.
