Putting Your Design Together Block By Block
Andrewed decided to go with the Brick and Cobblestone design he made.
Taking the design shown above, he created a sort of palace, and it really turned out great!
- When deciding what your build will be made out of, use materials that compliment each other in both color and texture.
- When creating an outside environment around your build, work with the design you started with and try to incorporate that into the fountains, pathways and landscape.
- Don’t devalue exterior terrain, use the terrain to your advantage. See Leinad0716’s post HERE for some extra tips.
- Simple designs will take your build a lot further than complex designs. Don’t go overboard if you’re a beginner, especially when working with patterns!

How To Defeat Arch
Here’s what it takes to beat the dreaded Arch-Illager and secure your pathway to the end.
The final boss in Minecraft Dungeons is, as you might expect, the games primary antagonist: the Arch-Illager. Given that its the last boss fight in the game, it makes sense for it to be tough–however, the difficulty spike from the previous section to this one is astonishing. If youre having trouble with the Arch-Illager, youre not alone. I, too, had an absolute nightmare trying to beat him. It took ages.
But theres a way to tackle this boss fight in which victory is almost guaranteed. When I went back to take him on a second time, it was substantially easier than the first, because I had a plan. Heres how to take down the Arch-Illager in Minecraft Dungeons. Be wary, this is a guide for the final boss fight, so expect some minor spoilers below.
If youre concerned about the final area before the fight, make sure you know how the enchanting system works in Minecraft Dungeons and take some advice from our essential tips and tricks for Minecraft Dungeons. Weve also put together a guide for everything you need to know about Minecraft Dungeons. Be sure to check out our Minecraft Dungeons review, too.
How To Defeat Minecraft Dungeons’ Final Boss: The Arch
The Arch-Illager in Minecraft Dungeons has two distinct forms. The first one is easy–he sort of flies about the middle of the map and summons loads of weak Pillagers, who you can pretty much ignore for the most part. Here, youll want to fire as many arrows as possible at the Arch-Illager to decrease his health as quickly as possible or get in close with an enchanted melee weapon to zero out his HP bar.
The tricky part of this boss fight is the second phase. After the Arch-Illager is defeated, the Orb of Dominance causes him to transform into the Heart of Ender. Its pretty easy to damage the Heart of Ender initially, but its area-of-effect attacks are brutal and unforgiving. It has the power to conjure fire around the map and has access to a rotating laser beam that simultaneously shoots in four directions. It spins pretty quickly and lasts for quite a while, so its incredibly difficult to avoid getting hit at least once, if not outright killed by it.
So, whether you want to gamble lives or focus on a long but effective, evasive run, there are ways to defeat the unforgiving Heart of Ender. All you need to do is dodge all of the lasers, or strategically succumb to them in exchange for massive bursts of residual damage.

Other Programs And Editors

- AMIDST is a program that aids in the process of finding structures, biomes, and players in Minecraft worlds. It can draw the biomes of a world out and show where points of interest are likely to be by either giving it a seed, telling it to make a random seed, or having it read the seed from an existing world . The project has been forked in the past, of which the most notable one is “Amidst Exporter” (amidstexporterAUR
- Minutor is a minimalistic map generator for Minecraft. You are provided with a simple GTK based interface for viewing your world. Several rendering modes are available, as well as custom coloring modes and the ability to slice through z-levels.

How To Assemble Your Balloon Arch
First, you need to blow up your balloons. Make sure you have a range of sizes and colors for your latex balloons. Bigger balloons will help anchor the arch and smaller balloons are great for filler. Place your anchors on the wall using strong tape or push pins. Then use the low temperature glue gun to attach larger balloons to the anchors. Hold each balloon for at least 10 seconds to make sure it sticks.
Then, you keep building on what you have. Add balloons within the gaps until they are all connected.
Make sure you step back periodically and take a look at how its coming together. You may notice one side looks heavier than the other or see a gap that you couldnt see while working.

Ways To Improve Your Minecraft Houses And Worlds
I’m Theresa and I’m going to be walking you through some simple steps to improve your Minecraft houses and worlds!
Let’s get started.
I built some various entryways and arches.
If you look closely, you can see there are stairs and slabs hidden throughout.
1. Built with oak logs, oak slabs, and oak stairs.
2. Built with oak wood blocks and oak stairs. Could be used for an entry to a dog house.
3. Built with cobblestone walls and oak fence gates. This would look nice on a farm or ranch.
4. Built with oak logs and oak stairs. I like using this one for underground homes.
5. Built with oak logs, oak stairs, and oak slabs. Gives a sort of cross shape, could be used in a church.
6. Built with cobblestone blocks, cobblestone stairs, and cobblestone slabs. A very medieval design used for a castle
7. Built with dark prismarine blocks, dark oak fences, and cobblestone slabs. I could see it in an oriental build
There are probably many, many more ways to build arches and entryways, but these are the ones I came up with.
Using three of the main tree types, I built some doorways.
1. Built with oak logs, oak door, and oak slabs. A slight overhang in the front gives the build a feeling of depth.
2. Built with oak logs, oak doors, oak stairs, and oak slabs. An indent above the door.
3. Built with oak logs, oak stairs, and oak slabs. Slabs above the door add a small gap, maybe a window. The stairs at the very top are placed upsidedown for a larger indent.
