I agree with the others that either Fire would be fine. My son plays Roblox on his Fire though it may be slower depending on what kind of phone you have due to the meager RAM of the tablet.
The Kids version comes with a decent case and 1 year of Freetime which is free age-appropriate content for kids .
I could be wrong, but the only difference between a Fire and the kids version is the latter comes with a durable rubber case. Frankly I found it to be pricey for what it was. If yours is prone to accidents, it may be worth it. iirc the kids version comes with a 2 year warranty.
We went with normal Fire 8s for our 6yos, got them a decent case, and theyre able to play Roblox on their kids profile just fine. In case youre not aware, when you have Kindle Free Time, the parental controls allow you to select an age range for your child and who then gets a range of apps / games that fall within the boundries you set. If there is a game that is outside of this boundry , you can add content for your child. Thats how we were able to grant permissions for Roblox before it was ordinarily available.

As its building low-spec tablets on a massive scale, Amazon is no doubt aware of its products shortcomings its most popular device is basically impossible to use without a jigsaw puzzle approach to installing apps and games.
After all, the companys most popular response to support issues is to instruct users to initiate a factory reset. Sure, it makes everything fresh again, but its a massive pain, especially for children. All their games are gone after the reset, and the progress that theyve made often disappears, too.

A factory reset is only a temporary solution. As long as the Amazon Fire remains a low-end device, Junior will continue getting frustrated by games that wont install to the SD card, online checks, low RAM, and a generally sluggish operating system.

Amazon Fire Hd 10 Kids Pro Im Test
bietet schon seit längerem eigene Fire-Tablets an und hat auch welche für Kinder im Portfolio, die mit einer kindgerechten und stoßsicheren Hülle inklusive Ständer und dem Dienst Kids+ ausgestattet sind. Mit dem Amazon Fire HD 10 Kids Pro kommt ein neuer Kandidat hinzu, der sich vor allem an die etwas größeren Kinder richtet. André hat sich bereits in seinem Test zum neuen Fire HD 10 Plus geäußert, daher werde ich hier auf Benchmarks und Co. verzichten und mich vorrangig auf die auf Kinder bezogenen Funktionen konzentrieren.
Das Fire HD 10 Kids Pro kommt etwas schlanker zum Käufer, als das noch beim Fire HD 10 Kids der Fall gewesen ist. Das neue Modell ist mit einer dünneren und harten Hülle in verschiedenen Design ausgestattet, während das Non-Pro mit einem fluffigen Rahmen daher kommt und es da auch schon mal etwas gröber zugehen kann. Mit der neuen Hülle macht man das besser nicht, da es sich sowieso an die etwas größeren Kinder richtet, werden Stürze wohl auch nicht ganz so oft passieren.
Auch das eine GByte mehr RAM ist in der Benutzung zu spüren, denn das SoC ist im Vergleich zum letzten Modell dasselbe geblieben. Aufgaben, die das Fire HD 10 Kids an seine Grenzen brachte, meistert das neue Modell spürbar besser. Auch anspruchsvollere Spiele etc. kann man nun auf dem Tablet ausführen. Den internen Speicher kann der Nutzer auf Wunsch auf bis zu 1 TB per microSD-Karte aufpumpen.
