Hi there,

Does Minecraft use an autosave feature? If so, the Xbox Live service updates your saved data to the Xbox Cloud storage in case you need to delete the local saved data or the data gets corrupted and deleted.

First try a hard reset and power cycle. Follow this article for guidance:

Start the game after you fully reboot your Xbox. If that doesn’t help then you may need re-install your game.

Let us know any updates!

I have already tried the console’s power cycle and nothing, remains the same.

Thanks for the reply ^^

Can You Uncorrupt A Minecraft World

A Minecraft world getting corrupted is something that happens on occasion. An issue arises that messes with the saved data. In some cases, it will be a partial corruption that means you can just put stuff back to how it was. In other cases, an entire world is corrupted, stopping you from opening it at all. Generally, you wont be able to restore the most recent save, as this is the file that is corrupted. You should, however, be able to restore a previous save, if you have one available.

But if you cant open your world, and dont have any recent saves to restore? There are still some things you can try. It isnt easy, and it involves some complicated bits so complicated that Minecrafts help centre refuses to actually offer it as a solution. They simply state that you follow this process at your own risk.

But if youre willing to give it a shot, heres what you need to do.

Package Your World As A Mcworld And Import It Into Minecraft

If you are unable to access the new location for your Minecraft worlds in Method 1, you may instead use a file manager on your Android device to convert your world to the .mcworld format and import it directly into Minecraft.

  • Use your devices file manager or download a file manager you trust from the Google Play store. The file manager must support compression to complete this option.
  • Navigate to the OLD file location given in Method 1 .

  • Long-press on one of the items in the folder to select it, then select each of the remaining items in the folder.
  • Create a ZIP archive of these files. This varies by application, but it may be in a menu such as More > Compress. You may be asked to name the archive you can choose any name you like.
  • This should create an archive for you ending in .zip. Select this file, choose Rename, and change the extension from .zip to .mcworld.
  • Launch this .mcworld file from your File Explorer. If prompted by the file manager to choose an application to open it with, choose Minecraft.
  • After Minecraft is done launching, it should go through the import process, which will make your world available to play again. Confirm this by going to the Play screen and entering your world.

How Do I Know If My Minecraft World Is Corrupted

It will either happen after a game crashes or if you close the game. You’ll know it’s corrupted if one of two things happen: 1) The game no longer shows up in your game list, but if you go into your worlds/ folder you still see it in there, or 2) The game shows up, but every time you try to join it, it just shuts down.

Moving Your Worlds Directly To Their New Location

If you have access to the new location for External Storage, you can move or copy your world folders directly to their new location.

    • The old location: /games/com.mojang/minecraftWorlds
    • The new location: /Android/com.mojang.minecraftpe/files/games/com.mojang/minecraftWorlds

NOTE: These locations may vary depending on the device and version of Android you are running, and whether External Storage is located on removable media .

Method 1a: Use a USB connection and a Windows computer

  • Make sure you have run Minecraft and viewed the empty Play screen at least once. This will ensure the new folder exists.
  • Connect your Android device to your computer using a USB cable.
  • Make sure your USB connection is configured for transferring files. The way this is done will vary on Android devices. You may be able to change settings for USB Preferences, like this:
  • Open a File Explorer window on your Windows computer, open your Android device, and navigate to the OLD minecraftWorlds directory .
  • Select the contents of the minecraftWorlds directory, right-click and choose Copy.
  • Navigate to the NEW minecraftWorlds directory , right-click and choose Paste.
  • Launch Minecraft, and your worlds should now be visible.
