A large part of any Minecraft player’s life is searching for the valuable ores that open up a whole new world of tools, weapons, and resources. Whether it’s as simple as powering your furnace, or supplying an entire house with automatic doors and lanterns, being able to know where to find these ores is essential to mastering this creative game. It’s okay. We did the searching for you. So here’s our guide on where to find all the valuable ores in Minecraft.
Where To Find Buckets Of Tropical Fish
Wondering where to get the Buckets of Tropical Fish? These items can be purchased from wandering traders or can be found in oceans. If the player searches for tropical fish themselves, they will need a bucket of water. Upon finding the tropical fish in the ocean, right-click the tropical fish with the bucket of water equipped to scoop it up.
Where To Find Glow Squids In Minecraft
Glow squids are one of the new mobs being introduced in the new update Caves and Cliffs to Minecraft, and you can find these new variants of squids deep underwater.
You will also need to search deep within oceans for these creatures as they will be harder to find than the normal squids in the game. We recommend stocking up on either respiration potions or enchanting a helmet with at least respiration two or three to help you with this.
Overall, either one will help you with searching ocean biomes and deep underwater for these squids. But why would you even want to?
Well, glow squids actually can be quite useful if you are playing around with item signs or regular signs in the game.

How To Get Chainmail Armor From Mobs
As for the other, it is also equal in rarity, considering that you have to find a mob wearing the armor but also a bit easier at the same time. For example, if you have a mob farm set up for either Skeletons or Zombies, you can have a lot easier time trying to find one wearing the armor.
If you find a mob with chainmail armor, don’t kill it right away as you only have a small chance to gain the armor as a drop. However, if you have a stronger armor like Iron, all you need to do is throw it at the mob to get them to drop the Chainmail armor.
In the end, that’s the only two ways to get Chainmail armor in the game however, it’s worth noting that you are probably just better off making Iron armor because it is way easier to get, and it’s stronger than Chainmail armor.
How To Get Blaze Rods
In short, you can get blaze rods from blazes that spawn in the nethervisit our guide here for more on how to find blazes in Minecraft.
Once you get both resources, go back in the guide and view the pattern we have shown above. Put all of the resources inside a crafting table, and then boom, you have a Brewing stand.
But to use it, you will need one key ingredient called Blaze powder. Luckily you already have what you need to make it just take one or two of the blaze rods you have laying around your base and place them in a crafting table. After you get some Blaze powder, you can then use it to power your new Brewing stand to make whatever potion you want in Minecraft.

Where To Dig For Diamonds
Every “Minecraft” world is divided into layers think of it like altitude. Sea level in “Minecraft” is roughly layer 64, for instance.
Diamonds only spawn at layer 15 and lower, and most commonly between layers 12 and 5. This is pretty deep, almost down to the very bottom of the world.
Quick tip: If you’re not sure what layer you’re on, you can check the debug menu, also known as the F3 screen. This menu shows you your exact coordinates, as well as a wealth of other information.
You can open the debug menu by pressing F3 on a PC, or Fn + F3 on a Mac. Your current layer is the Y coordinate in this image, 12.0000.
To get there, find a cave, or start digging diagonally down into the earth. Never dig straight down if you accidentally dig through the ceiling of a cave, you could find yourself falling into lava, or into a massive ravine. Place torches as you go to light the way and track your route.
As you go, you’ll likely run into enemies like spiders, skeletons, zombies, and witches. Stay alert and either avoid these enemies you’ll usually be able to see or hear them before they notice you or carefully take them down.
If you need to run, use your blocks to build a tower and escape to higher ground just don’t slip and get killed by the fall damage. Or if you’re at a dead end, quickly mine into a wall and then place blocks to seal the exit.
Once You Get To Layer 15 Keep Digging
You’re getting awfully close to diamond territory at layer 15, but go ahead and keep digging. Layer 12 is when diamonds, indicated by blue flecks, start to make more appearances. And there’s less lava on layers 11 and 12 than others, so that’s probably your best bet for a large mining operation.
Remember that diamonds are rare, even in low layers. It might take a long time for you to find any. And of course, there’s always a chance that you won’t find any at all before you need to head back home.
But once you find diamond ore, mine it with the iron pickaxe and collect your prize. Most diamond comes in a “vein,” meaning that there will be multiple diamond ore blocks connected to one another. Mine all the diamonds you can see, and then move on.

Minecraft Bastion Remnant Types And Where To Find Gold
If youre exploring the Nether in Minecraft, theres a chance youll stumble upon a Bastion Remnant. The remain of giant structures in the Nether, Bastions are one of the biggest natural sources of gold. So finding and exploring the Remnants can be a great way to boost your gold supplies!
Gold has a chance to spawn in any chest in the Bastion Remnant. The base chance is 24.4% for Gold Nuggets and 19% for Gold Ingots. The chances increases or decrease depending on which Bastion Remnant type youre exploring.
Uses For Nether Gold Ore
- This block basically functions as a normal gold ore, but the only difference is that it drops Gold Nuggets.
- Players can combine these Nuggets to make a Gold Ingot or as mentioned above make it by mining it with a Silk Touch tool and then smelting it.
- Players can make a variety of items such as Clocks, weapons and armors using this gold.
- Piglins are also attracted towards the Gold Nuggets when they drop and also turn hostile towards any player nearby, that mines it.

How To Make Red Stained Glass In Minecraft
To make red stained glass, you will need to follow the standard crafting recipe for all stained glass. Place eight glass blocks in every crafting table slot except the middle one in the middle slot, you will need to place red dye.
If you don’t know already, you can make red dye by placing any of the following materials below inside a crafting table.
- Beetroot: You can find beetroots in both desert and forest village farms.
- Rose Bush: Roses can be found growing in the forest biome.
- Red Tulip: All tulips can be harvested from flower forest and plains biomes
- Poppy: To get poppies, you can either kill golems or find them growing in most biomes.
How To Make Magenta Stained Glass In Minecraft
In short, to make magenta stained glass, you will need eight glass and one magenta dye placed inside a crafting table. You will need to place eight glass in every slot in the crafting but the middle one, in the middle one, you will put the dye.
You can make magenta dye by combining the following dyes inside a crafting table.
You can also make magenta dye by just placing the following flowers inside a crafting table.
- Lilac: If you want to find lilac flowers, search forest biomes.
- Allium: You can find these flowers in forest biomes.

How To Make Yellow Stained Glass In Minecraft
Next on the list is yellow stained glass the same deal as last time, you will need yellow dye to make this stained glass. Place eight glass blocks in the same pattern as the last one and then the dye in the middle slot.
You can use any of the items below to make yellow dye inside a crafting table.
- Dandelion: You can find these flowers in any grassy biome.
- Sunflower: Sunflowers spawn in a rare biome called sunflower plains
How To Find Gold In The Mines Of Minecraft
Your first choice is to mine gold. To do it, you need to have an iron or diamond pickaxe. It will not do you any good to use an inferior pickaxe, as they will destroy the gold block or ore without giving you the ore. To create the required pickaxe, the first thing to do is collecting wood to create a crafting table. Look for trees and chop them to get the wood. Once you have it, open the inventory, place a block of wood on the grid, and generate planks. For each block of wood, you can create 4 planks. Once you have those 4 planks, go back to the inventory grid, place each of the planks in each of the 4 holes, and finally, get the necessary crafting table. Put the table in the place of the stage that is most comfortable for you.
Keep collecting wood to create a wooden pickaxe on the crafting table. You will need 3 wooden planks and two sticks, use the inventory grid. When you have these objects, go to the crafting table and place three planks on top and two sticks or wooden sticks in the central holes to build it.
It is time to create the stone pickaxe. Use your wooden pickaxe and start digging the ground diagonally until you reach the rock. You need at least three blocks. When you have them, return to the table and place the three stone blocks in the top three squares, and two wooden sticks in the two free vertical holes in the center of the grid to create the stone pickaxe.
You can also use a crafting table to group 9 bars into a block of gold.

Where To Find Axolotls In Minecraft
Like goats and glow squid, the axolotl was also added with the recent 1.17 update for Minecraft, and these critters are a bit tricky to find, simliar to that of the glow squid.
Nonetheless, you can find axolotls spawning in underwater caves and in deep parts of the ocean, primarily starting at Y=63, so if you want to nab yourself an axolotl, start there.
We recommend bringing along some potions of water breathing and a helmet enchanted with respiration to help you search for the axolotl.
Along with these two items, you will need a few things first. The main thing you will need to get an axolotl is an iron bucket filled with water. You can make an iron bucket with three iron ingots, as shown by the pattern pictured below.
After making the bucket, you will need to fill it with water as required to pick the axolotl up, as you can’t really lead it back to your house like a cow or sheep.
That said, once you get an axolotl you can then breed it using a bucket of tropical fish. You can get buckets of tropical fish from the various traveling merchants in the game for five emeralds.
Building The Gold Farm
You’ll need to build high walls on either side of the initial pit you’ve dug. It’s a good idea to completely enclose one side, apart from the entrance to the pit. This creates a safe side and an entrance. It’s also good to add a ceiling to the farm, as it prevents Ghasts, Blazes, and any other enemies from shooting you from afar.
Three blocks down, you’ll want to place hoppers and then chests. This will capture the gold for easy collection.
Digging down to the level next to the hoppers, you’ll now need to create the point where you’ll attack the Piglins. At the level of the hoppers, place a line of slabs in line with the feet of any creatures trapped. If you don’t remember to place this slab, small Piglins will be able to escape. This creates a harvesting area.
On the other side of the trap, it’s helpful to dig around to have easy access to the chests.
Once you’ve finished the build, simply aggro the Zombie Piglins by attacking one of them, and lure them to the trap by standing on the safe side you’ve created. Then, go down to the harvesting area and strike the Piglins. Any gold they drop will be deposited in the chests below. And there you have your Gold Farm!

Find A Block Of Gold Ore
First, let’s explore where to find gold ore. In Minecraft, gold ore is easy to find and is found in large deposits. You can usually find gold ore between 10 and 31 blocks below the ground.
In this example, we are going to dig into a mountain to find gold ore.

How To Make Black Dye In Minecraft
To make black dye in Minecraft, you will need to gather Ink sacs or a Wither rose and place it inside a crafting table, as shown by the pattern above.
Doing so will allow you to make a black dye which can then be used to make stained black glass panels and blocks and black wool blocks.
These wool blacks can then be used to make carpets, and the black dye can also be used to make other items such as terracotta. That said, before you can do any of this, you’ll still need to gather the materials needed to make black dye.
Start by trying to get Ink sacs as they are the most simple to get. To get Ink sacs, all you need to do is locate some squids, wack them a few times, and you will get Ink sacs as a resource drop.
But where do you find squids? You can usually find them in water sources such as rivers, oceans, and even lakes sometimes.
For the withered rose method, things are a little trickier as you will need to spawn a Wither. When a Wither is spawned, you will then need to wait for that mob to kill another mob the result will be a wither rose dropping.
Overall, we don’t recommend using this option as finding squids to kill is more manageable and time-efficient.
