You want to make your own custom music of minecraft?
Maybe for an adventure map, maybe for pure enjoyment? Here’s how!
You want to first get your music you’d like to use from YouTube and download the mp3!
Convert them to .OGG using a program.
Then you need to download this resourcepack that I made for you, just to make it 10x more simple.
Extract the files to your desktop, and open the folder.
Browse the contents of the folder you should go here > > assets > minecraft > sounds > records
You should end up here.
Rename the Custom .OGG’s you just made to one of the names of the minecraft music disc.
Once you finish making all the custom disc you like, open your %appdata% > > .minecraft > > resourcepacks > > and drop the folder into the resourcepack folder.

Changing Music Disc Audio
Recently, I have been playing around with resource pack development in the Bedrock edition of Minecraft. I wanted to try to change the audio that could be played with music discs, but it took me quite a bit of research and a lot of time to figure out how to do it. For people with similar aspirations, I hope this article will concisely walk you through the somewhat complicated process.
First, you will need to download an editable texture pack. The link to the resource pack can be found beneath two advertised packs here. It should download as a zip file. You should unzip it in a file managing app, in order to gain access to the files inside of it.
Next comes some file creation. Go back the the main folder list for the resource pack. A sounds file should be an option. Open it and create a new folder called music inside of it. Inside of that folder, create a new folder called game. Inside of the game folder, create a new folder called records. This is the file where you can add up to 13 unique .ogg music files. In order to have them played by the records, however, you will need to rename your custom music files to match those of the original music discs . If you have mp3 files you want to be played, Audacity allows you to import mp3s and change them to .oggs. Please note that if the music tracks you add are stereo tracks, they will play the same volume no matter where you are in a world, while mono tracks will fade with distance like the average music disc.

- Minecraft Forge must be installed in advance.
- On your computer, you start finding the Minecraft application folder. There are two ways to find the application, depending on the OS you are using:
- For Windows PC, from the Start menu, you start Run then type like this: %appdata%. Select Run when everything is done.

Here’s How To Make Custom Music Discs In Minecraft:
- #1 Start by creating a folder to store your own records. Go to your Minecraft folder Sounds Projects Create a new folder
- #2 Open any file window, type in “%appdata%”, locate the .minecraft folder version scroll down to your current version of the game copy the .jar file to the new folder
- #3 Change .jar to .zip scroll down to find the pack.mcmeta and pack.png files copy the lies files to the new folder
- #4 Go back to the zip assets Minecraft copy the lang file to the new folder
- #5 Open the pack.mcmeta file and change “The default data for Minecraft” to “Custom Records”
- #6 Create a new assets folder a new Minecraft folder a new sound folder a new record folder
- #7 Drag the lang file into the new Minecraft folder, next to the sound one
- #8 Convert the music records into the .ogg format
- #9 Place the converted music records into the record folder
- #10 Open the en_us.json file in the lang folder change the name of a music disc
- #11 Change your records’ names according to the music disc you choose
- #12 Select the assets folder, the pack.mcmeta file, and the pack.png file, then zip them into one
- #13 Move them into the resource pack folder
- #14 Open the game, find the corresponding music discs, and enjoy!

Right-clicking on the Jukebox again releases the music disc and stops any music currently playing. Music discs play only once before they need to be ejected and inserted again. The music played by the Jukebox travels roughly 65 blocks in every direction.
