Setting Up Your Server
How To Identify Your Server Address
To get started, you need to identify the address of the server you want to join. If you own a Shockbyte server, you can find your server address on your Multicraft server panel. This will be labeled as Server Address.
In the example above, the server address is 192.168.2.1:12345. Breaking this down, the Server IP is the set of numbers before the : symbol, and after this are the last five numbers which are the Server Port.

Doing Some Basic Stuff To Make The Server Better

Enabling Yourself to Type Commands
To allow yourself to enter commands from in-game and control the server from your player, please type the following into the Console:
That will enable you to type commands and to interface with the server from your game. All you have to do is open the chat, type /< command> < args> .
Enabling Mob Behavior
To have a survival game, you will want to have mobs. Mobs do not come naturally in NukkitX, so you will have to install what is called a plugin. Plugins are modifications to the server which allow different features. This is the link to the plugin for mobs. Download the plugin jar file from here: .
Once the file is downloaded, place the plugin in the plugins folder to install the plugin. Then, restart the server by typing stop in the console, and then run the start.sh or start.bat again . This will enable the plugin.

Setting Up Server Properties
Now lets look at some server properties we can change to customize what kind of Minecraft game you want to play in your server. Open the server properties file.
Once here, you will see a lot of text sections. Lets cover the most important ones and look at the properties you will most likely want to change.
The properties highlighted in the above image are some of the most important ones you should be familiar with. The first gamemode=survival property determines the gamemode you and your players will play in the server by default. This is set to survival meaning you will have hunger and health you will have to manage in game. Setting this to gamemode=creative lets the players build, break, and fly as they are untouchable and unkillable in this gamemode.
The next spawn-monsters=true is a property that tells the server monsters and dangerous enemies will appear. Changing this to spawn-monsters=false will stop monsters from spawning even in survival mode.
One of the more important properties in our experience with minecraft servers is the next highlighted pvp=true line. PvP stands for player vs play so this controls whether or not players can damage each other. By default this is set to true meaning players can hurt and damage one another in game. Setting this to pvp=false will disable and ability for players to damage each other.

Connect To The Server
As the host, you dont need to connect to remote.it to access the Server. When adding the Server in Minecraft, simply set the Server Address to 127.0.0.1 and the Port to 19132. You will be able to connect to your Server as long as it is running.
This is what the Host of the Server should enter
Your friends will have to use remote.it to connect to the Server. To do this, follow these steps:
1. Open the remote.it Desktop App and sign in.
2. Go to the Devices page and find the Device that was shared to you.
3. Click on the Device and click the green Connect button next to the Bedrock Server Service.
4. Once the button turns blue, you are connected. Click on the Service and take note of the Port. In my case, its 33003.
5. Launch Minecraft and add the Server. The Server Address should be 127.0.0.1 and the Port should be whatever appeared in remote.it. In my case, thats 33003.
As long as remote.it is connected and the Server is running, you will be able to join to the Server.
Note:
Minecraft might say that the Server is Locating, and it wont display the Servers ping. However, if you press Join Server anyways you will connect.
Thats the end of the tutorial. Enjoy your free Minecraft Bedrock server with no open ports!

It is great you can get your own private server for playing Minecraft without spending any extra bucks. Online services like Aternos and Minehut are inclusive of some limitations though. First of all, there’s a cap on the number of players that can join the game. You also get limited memory, which might not be enough if you’re planning to establish a full-fledged community server.
Apart from private servers, you also have the choice to join realms, play on a public server, or start a new single-player world in Minecraft.
