Try Minecraft In Other Platforms

One of the coolest things about Minecraft is that you can find it on most of the gaming platforms like switch, ps4, phone, etc. So playing it in one of them will allow you to do different things and probable give you more ideas on how to use your resources.

Minecraft recently released a VR version of the game, which we had the chance to try it out and it was impressive! If you are interested on knowing about this VR update for Minecraft then our review would be helpful for you. Even though its not a guide this review will be good for you if you want to try the VR version, you would know what to expect from it.

Arm Yourself With A Stick

Once youve crammed your pockets full of dirt, punch a light brown tree and get one block of wood. Convert this into oak planks from the crafting menu, then craft them into a stick. Youll have the opportunity to craft better weapons later but for now its a passable hitting implement with which to see off at least some of Minecrafts enemies.

Template Before You Build

Once you have your color scheme, you should template your build, and you do this by placing wool in the spot you want to build. Why should you do this? Its so you can get a feel for the layout of the build and this allows you to be able to make any adjustments to it early on before it becomes a big hassle to recreate a small area. Not to mention its also good for you to get a feel for the scale of your minecraft build too! This helps avoid problems down the road of the build being too small or too big.

This method definitely isnt for everyone though. Some of you might find it easier to not do any templating and just get right down to the building.

Experiment, experiment, experiment

In order to get better, you must experiment with different styles and detailing, an example of this would be to build three different windows or three different wall styles and compare them on your build to see which looks best.

You can make small detail edits or make something entirely new, its all down to you. The more you experiment, the more creative youll get with your builds!

Digging down and setting up a subterranean camp is one of the easiest ways to keep yourself safe from surface-dwelling mobs on the first night. But why stop with just a camp? Why not turn it into a sprawling underground base filled with everything you could ever need to survive, like YouTuber “Spudetti” made above?

Massive Minecraft Build: Cyberpunk 2077’s Night City

Cyberpunk 2077‘s Night City is another great build, created by a group of 15 people called Elysium Fire. It took 18 months to build and, even if it is not a faithful reproduction of the Night City, it is truly an amazing creation. The map can be downloaded for free on Planetminecraft. The same team published a well-elaborated tribute of Novigrad, the largest city from The Witcher 3, in 2018.

Make A Themed Building For Each Activity You Need To Do

Every time you need a space to set up something new – an enchanting room, some brewing stands, a storage system – it’s easy to just add them into your main base and call it a day. A great way to build up a town, however, is to give each of these things its own building and tie the theming into the build.

Ideas include magic witch-y building for making your potions, a wizard’s tower for enchanting, or a secure vault to keep your items safe. Don’t Be Afraid To Experiment With Depth

Given the ubiquity of 90-degree angles in Minecraft, it can be easy for things to feel a bit flat. One way to make things stand out is to use depth in your walls. Build them across a couple of blocks, with beams sticking out across the front. Or use stairs, walls, and slabs to mix things up – both are great ways to make things a bit more exciting.

Like variation, this ultimately depends on the build, and will probably require some trial and error. But when done right, a wall with a bit of depth is leagues ahead of its flat counterparts.

Make Sure Your Ceilings Are At Least 4 Blocks High

While it might be tempting just to make a two-block high ceiling to cut down on the materials, dont do it! You should avoid that for two reasons.

The main reason is that it doesnt leave you room to decorate later. You wont have any space left to create ceiling lights, shelves, and other furniture. And besides, your player will feel cramped in there. Who would want to bump their head all the time?

So try to build at least a four-block high ceiling. The higher you make, the better it is!

Dig Out A Secret Escape Tunnel

7 Tips To Get Better At BUILDING In Minecraft | Minecraft 1.16 Tutorial

There are times when the monsters surround your base and you absolutely need to get away. In these cases, the only way out is a secret escape tunnel. These invaluable corridors lead you well away from the baddies around your base and pop you out far enough away to avoid earning their attention again.

This tunnel could also be used as an alternative entrance to your base, but you should hide it well and cover it up with the likes of a trapdoor. You could even expand your singular escape tunnel into an entire network of tunnels, for getting around under the monsters’ radar. If you want it to feel more personal, hide the secret entrance to your escape network with Sticky Pistons.

There is no reason for your base not to have an escape tunnel its miles better than charging out screaming “Leeroy Jenkins”!

Custom Trees Are A Great Way To Instantly Make An Area Look Nicer

Throwing down some saplings and doing the standard bonemeal spam is fine, but if you want to take your builds up a notch, doing the trees yourself as well can be utterly transformative. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy or complicated. Even small trees that are just alternatives to the vanilla ones are fantastic.

Trees, like any organic shape or structure, can be tricky to get the hang of in Minecraft’s blocky style, but they’re well worth the effort. With a bit of practice, you’ll be sprucing all your builds up with handmade arboreus in no time!

Minecraft is a game all about blocks, and the beauty of it is that you can build anything your heart desires. Building in Minecraft is like building with digital Legos, but, like Legos, building takes a long time and is often tedious and repetitive for anything more than a few blocks on each side. WorldEdit is a plugin that makes the repetitive tasks like filling in walls and replacing blocks easier.

Be Smart With Your Mob

Torch spam everywhere is the bane of many a builder, but in a survival world, it’s seen by most as a necessary evil. Either risk a Creeper attack or shoehorn light sources into a build that might not suit them. What a lot of players don’t realize, though, is that there are a lot of cleaner ways to mob-proof.

A light source placed under the carpet will still light an area up, and the carpet itself is actually a spawn-proof block – as is anything else that doesn’t have a full topside at the conventional height, like a bottom slab or stairs.
