What Does The Minecraft Turtle Helmet Do

How to make a Turtle Farm In Minecraft 1.14.4: Very Survival Friendly Turtle Scute Farm (Avomance)

The turtle helmet provides the player not only with two armor points but ten seconds of water breathing when submerged.

When submerged, any player wearing an unenchanted turtle helmet will get ten seconds of water-breathing before their air bubbles begin to go down.

Turtle helmets can also be enchanted to have every enchantment that a regular helmet can have. They can even be enchanted with respiration and aqua affinity, making them an excellent helmet option for players, as they add extra effects on top of the most overpowered of helmet enchantments.

Floppy Disks And Peripherals

Turtles do not have a built-in Disk Drive. As such, they need a Disk Drive placed beside them to access Floppy Disks. However, if the Turtle is of the Wireless family, the Disk Drive must be placed on a side other than the side the wireless modem is on. Any other peripherals, such as Monitors and can be interacted using the peripheral API.

Running The Farmwheat Program

To run the farmwheat program, you must make sure water is within four blocks of each dirt block in the field and that a chest is behind the turtles starting space in the bottom-left corner of the field, as shown in Figure 14-3. You must also equip the turtle with a diamond hoe so it can till the dirt or grass blocks. After the turtle is set up, enter farmwheat 9 9 into the command shell to have the turtle farm a 9 × 9 field.

Figure 14-3: The turtle must start one block above the ground with a chest behind it.

Keep in mind that if you move too far away from the turtle, the turtle shuts down. If the turtle shuts down in the middle of the wheat field, youll need to move the turtle back to the bottom-left corner of the field and run the program again to make the turtle continue farming. The turtle will continue sweeping over the field, checking and planting wheat as before.

If you get errors when running this program, carefully compare your code to the code in this book to find any typos. If you still cannot fix your program, delete the file by running delete farmwheat and then download it by running pastebin get SfcB8b55 farmwheat.

HOW TO MAKE A TURTLE FARM

Minecraft added 3,000 species of fish into its game after Bedrock was rolled out nearly 10 years ago. Sea Turtles are one of them and unlike most of the added mobs, they can actually be bred. Although it’s been years since the release came available, not all players have known how to breed turtles in Minecraft. And our article will give them assistance on the same as well as interesting facts about this virtual species.

This humorously named potion can be made at a Brewing Stand by placing Awkward Potions in the 3 bottom slots and a Turtle Shell in the top slot. When used, a Potion of the Turtle Master will decrease the movement speed of both the player and nearby mobs by 60% as well as reduces damage done to the player by the same amount for 20 seconds.

  • Go up one folder level and you should see a folder called “saves”. Open that and then open the folder with the same name as your world.
  • Now you should see a folder called “computer”, open that and you will find one or more folders as just a number, starting at 0. These are the disk drives for the computers and turtles you have in the world.

    Where To Breed Turtles

Turtle Eggs can only be laid on Sand or Red Sand, therefore a generous amount of it is needed for a sufficiently sized farm. However, players may be interested to learn that Turtles will always try to return to the block of Sand where their eggs hatched, so setting up a farm on a beach that naturally has Turtles may be a time-efficient solution when location scouting.

Does The Farm Need To Be Built On A Beach

How to make a turtle farm in Minecraft 1.13 Update Aquatic | Minecraft Turtle Scute Farm Tutorial

Is an actual beach required ? Or, can you build it against any old body of water? SirDaddicus 02:19, 23 July 2021

I think if you build the farm anywhere you find eggs, then it doesn’t matter because the hatchlings’ home beach is wherever the eggs hatch.
It is possible that turtles need a water path to their home beach and should not have to cross over land to get to it. I don’t know if they require an ocean to live in if they do, then any old body of water may not work. I’ve never tried building a farm on a riverbank or swamp or a player-made body of water. Maybe they need water with seagrass in it?
Experimentation is needed. Unfortunately experimenting with turtle farms takes a lot of patience because nothing happens fast with turtles. Amatulic 22:53, 23 July 2021
OK, thank you. I’ll start some of that experimentation. 🙂 SirDaddicus 23:11, 23 July 2021
Remember, turtle eggs do require sand. So some sort of beach is needed, even if it isn’t an actual beach biome. It would be interesting to see if one can breed turtles in a swamp if you add enough sand on the edge of it. Amatulic 23:37, 23 July 2021
I have confirmed that an actual ocean is not required. I changed one reference to match, although I couldn’t figure out how to alter the text for the image next to it. SirDaddicus 23:17, 24 July 2021
Thanks. I fixed the caption. Amatulic 04:08, 25 July 2021

What Is The Most Efficient Way To Collect Scutes In Minecraft

Many players interested in getting a lot of scutes in their vanilla Minecraft world will create a turtle farm, which works to breed turtles and have them lay eggs continually.

These eggs will then break and create baby turtles, which will produce one scute once grown up.

There are some great instructional YouTube videos on creating turtle farms in Minecraft some of which are entirely automatic, too.

What Is The Turtle Shell In Minecraft And How To Get It

A turtle shell is a unique helmet player can make from scutes that are dropped from baby turtles. Once the turtle shell is made, it can then be used as a helmet item in Minecraft.

The helmet provides a total of 2 points of armor, the same amount of protection as an iron, chain, and golden helmet – the turtle helmet will also help players breath better underwater.

Turtle helmets also have twice the amount of durability of all three of the other helmets, with a total of 275, thus making it a more durable item to use.

You can also use the turtle shell to make the potion of the turtle master via a brewing stand. The potion of the turtle master is a unique potion that can be used to slow both mobs and players down and weaken the total damage they can do.

If you turn the potion into a lingering version, you can also use it to make arrows of the turtle master. These arrows will have the same effect as the potions but can be fired at hostile mobs or players to cause them to get the effect.

Writing Functions To Use In The Main Program

Lets write a function named checkWheatCrop that tells the turtle what to do at each space on the field it sweeps, and lets write another function named plantWheatSeed that contains the instructions to plant wheat seeds. Well also write a third function named storeWheat that instructs the turtle on what it should do after it finishes harvesting wheat. These three functions will be called from the main part of the farmwheat program.

    CHECKING THE CROP

The checkWheatCrop function inspects the space below the turtle and determines the action the turtle should take. Well pass checkWheatCrop to sweepField so the function is called at each space the turtle goes over on the field.

The following code instructs the turtle to plant a seed if there currently is no wheat under the turtle.

    farmwheat

    32. — checkWheatCrop harvests mature wheat33. — and plants seeds35. local result, block = turtle.inspectDown36.37. if not result then38. turtle.digDown — till the soil39. plantWheatSeed

The turtle.inspectDown function has the turtle inspect the space directly under it. If there is no wheat, the result variable on line 35 is set to false and line 38 tills the dirt block. Line 39 calls plantWheatSeed, which well create in the next section. The plantWheatSeed function plants a wheat seed on the tilled soil block beneath the turtle.

If the space under the turtle isnt empty , the turtle checks whether the space contains mature wheat.

    How To Get Turtle Eggs

The Easiest Turtle Farm in Minecraft

In Minecraft, turtles have the same behavior as those that can be found in the real world. Turtles appear on the beach, in blocks of sand that have a light level of more than 8 and that are close to sea level. That is, the turtles only appear during the day and on the beaches, where you could also get the heart of the sea, so you must be careful.

When a turtle appears, will remember the block on it appeared, and at the time of laying the eggs, he will lay them on that same beach. Therefore, turtles are one of the most difficult animals to reproduce, and it is even more difficult to make a turtle farm.

However, it is not impossible, and many players have turtle farms on beaches and islands, and they use them to get a very valuable object: The scales. With turtle scales you can make a turtle shell, a very valuable object.

Shells can be used as a kind of helmets, and they protect you as effectively as an iron helmet. In addition, while wearing the turtle shell you will have the effect of breathing underwater, and you will be able to hold your breath for about 10 more seconds.

HR baby turtles they release the scales as they grow into adult turtles. So you have to always be on top of the turtles until they grow up, or establish a type of system that collects them automatically.

Turtles Not Being Able To Leave

In my testworld adult ones are flapping in front of the top slab as if they were trying lo leave, but it seems that they can’t. They get into the gap inbetween the slabs and get stuck there, swimming their face into the wall.

Yeah, I’m using it in 1.16, and a significant number of turtles are getting stuck. Some of them are making it into the lip, but even those often seem reluctant to actually leave. I had to start laying about with an axe to clear out the crowd. Especially since the crowding seems to prevent the baby turtles from getting onto their slabs to drop their scutes. —MentalMouse42 19:18, 10 May 2020
Well… Turtle#Breeding says that the pregnant turtle is 0.2 blocks bigger. That may prevent it from fitting through the gap, while letting through the non-pregnant one. Perhaps an alternative design can work with a 1.5 block gap. That would still prevent drowned from coming through, although baby drowned could still get through. Amatulic 23:08, 23 July 2021
I am now able to get the adults to the open water. I added ONE slab towards the waterfall at the same level as the current row of slabs. I added another next to it, but down a half-block. This provided a series of half-steps, and the adults seem to be able to scale it now. However, it doesn’t work to add slabs all the way across the width of the farm. The adults, after they grow up, can’t seem to reliably get back to the beach area.

How To Care For Turtle Eggs

These eggs are quite fragile and can be destroyed by mobs walking over them, so make sure to fence them off from threats and be sure not to tread on them either. About 1 to 4 tiny Turtle Eggs can spawn with each clutch laid by a pregnant Turtle, so, with some planning, players can have quite a lot of eggs spawned into a small area for maximum farming efficiency.

    When Do Scutes Drop

Once turtles grow up and increase in size by over ten times, they drop the scute.

Each baby turtle drops a single scute when it grows up, making it quite a rare item to find in Minecraft without farming it.

Scutes can be used to create the turtle helmet a cute helmet that looks like a green turtle shell. These helmets have the same level of armor toughness as iron helmets, providing a player with two armor points or one full armor icon.

This means that, although they are not as strong as diamond and netherite helmets, they are quite good at protecting the player, and their added effect makes them quite beneficial.

    About Minecraft Sea Turtle

Simple Minecraft Turtle Farm – 1.16

Sea Turtles are passive creatures in the game, which means they do not fight back when targeted. It is an important fact to remember as turtles usually get attacked by many Minecraft creatures from Ravagers to Zombies. So in case you want to make a Sea Turtle farm, make sure to set up some defensive measures.

Moreover, fully grown turtles frequently gather around the Beach biome in Minecraft. Players can search for them by swimming in the water or walking along the shore.

When laid, turtle eggs are brittle. So they will very likely break if any Minecraft entity stands on them or if you drop them on the ground. Remember that even adult turtles can break the eggs, just have the eggs tucked away safely.

    Collecting Scute In Minecraft

Scute is a material in Minecraft, and the only way to obtain it is by having Baby Turtles grow up into Turtles. When this happens, a single piece of Scute will be dropped. Currently, Scute has very few uses.

The first use for Scute is to craft a Turtle Shell, which is a type of helmet. They can be crafted in a Crafting Table with the same layout as other helmets. When wearing a Turtle Shell, it gives the player an extra 10 seconds of breathing time when underwater.

Turtle Shells than can then also be used in a Potion Recipe. With Turtle Shells, the player can craft Potion of the Turtle Master, which has 3 tiers. When drinking this potion, the player will receive Slowness and Resistance status effects.

    Iron And Gold Farming

Help with turtle farm, most of the baby turtles stay on ...

If you are in a situation where there isn’t any way to build an iron golem farm for iron , or a gold farm for gold, you feel like you’ve mined out your area, and you no longer need drops from drowned, you can use a flooded dungeon farm to harvest iron and gold from the zombies. It’s a slow but effective way to get iron and gold ingots.

The flooded dungeon farm simply needs some minor modifications in your killing room:

  • Add another large chest, to keep special enchanted items.
  • Add a crafting table.
  • Add a furnace.
  • If you haven’t done so already, dig small hole in the floor to discard unwanted items
  • Bring plenty of food, stock your furnace with fuel, craft a few stone swords, and do the following:

  • Switch to Hard difficulty to maximize the zombie drops of gold and iron items.
  • Kill the zombies as they enter the killing chamber. You can wait for them to drown but you don’t have to. The zombies still drop their items whether you kill them or if they convert into drowned. However, if you see an armored zombie, let it drown, because an armored zombie requires more hits to kill.
  • Periodically check the collection chest and remove any iron or gold items , and put them in your inventory.
  • If you get a sword or iron shovel, use it as a weapon but don’t use it until it breaks. This lets you avoid crafting more swords to kill the zombies. You’re going to smelt it into a nugget, so you may as well get some use out of it first.
  • Use the crafting table to craft the nuggets into ingots.
  • Repeat.
