End Portal In Minecraft: How To Find It In Survival

Survival Minecraft is by far the most popular mode, where players try to make their own stories through the adventures they go through.

Players can try to get to the end of the game by defeating the Ender Dragon in Minecraft. However, the Ender Dragon lives in another dimension called the End and to travel to that place, players need to locate the End Portal. The End portal is a naturally occurring structure and there are only 4 in the entire world.

The main reason to locate it is because, in Survival Minecraft, players cannot craft the blocks that the End Portal is created with. There is no possible way to make a End Portal in survival mode and therefore players must find them in their world.

This might get tricky as they are located deep underground in Strongholds and are very scarce.

    How to find it?

    • The easiest way to find it is through obtaining Ender pearls and letting them show the way. Ender Pearls can be obtained by killing Endermen in Minecraft.
    • Throwing a Ender Pearl will allow it to travel a certain distance in a particular direction, after which it will land. Players can keep throwing the pearl until it rests on the same spot twice.
    • Players can then dig around the place to locate the Stronghold.
    • Players can find the End Portal in Minecraft in this Stronghold.

Players need to be careful as a silverfish spawner sits near the Portal room.

    Making The End Portal

Once you’ve reached the portal room, you’re almost done. For safety, fill in all the lava and destroy the monster spawner. This will prevent any unfortunate accidents.

At the top of the staircase is the broken End Portal. The portal’s entire frame is there, but a number of Eyes of Ender will be missing. Carefully fill in all the missing pegs with Eyes of Ender to activate the structure.

Once you’ve placed all the pearls, you’ll hear a loud booming sound, and darkness will fill the portal. Once you jump in, you’ll be taken to The End, and the final boss, the Ender Dragon.

Make sure you’re ready to face it before you step inside, because once you do, the only way back is by dying or winning.

How Deep Is A Nether Fortress

Nether Fortresses are generally made up of two levels: bridges and corridors.

Bridges have pathways that are five blocks wide and framed with a wall thats one block high. If a fortress is embedded within netherrack, the bridges spawn as tunnels instead.

Corridors, on the other hand, spawn with 3 x 3 walkways that are surrounded by nether brick. They also have 2 x 1 nether brick fences that serve as windows for the structure.

These fortresses are easily overlooked if your elevation is too high or youre at lava level below them. Fortunately, in either case, you can look for other fortress indicators like wither skeletons and nether bricks that indicate a nearby structure.

    Create A Temp Base Kit

Creating a temporary base in the Nether is a great way to ensure that you can make more important resources if needed. Consider bringing key components like a furnace, chest, and even a crafting table along for your trip. Bring a few extra logs if you have them, too. Nether has wood, but you cant use it as fuel, and you cant make it into charcoal.

You can also bring along extra supplies to make another portal, especially if you happen to be in a fortress far from your base. Portal-making supplies are optional, but it may save you a long trip back to get to your original portal to the Overworld.

    Getting Flint And Steel

The fire starter known as Flint and Steel can sometimes be found in dungeons or Nether Fortresses. Yet, it’s much easier just to make the tool. To do so, you need a piece of Flint and a single Iron Ingot.

You can get Flint by destroying blocks of Gravel with your hand, a shovel, or for those who like fan-fare, a piece of TNT. Not every Gravel block will drop some Flint, but luckily, the blocks are not among the rarest in the game. The resource spawns underground, next to bodies of water, and in various other places. It shouldn’t take too long to discover some.

Iron, on the other hand, is found underground. You can mine the metal with a stone pickaxe. Once you do, you’ll have a block of Iron Ore, which you can smelt in a furnace to make an Ingot.

Put the Flint and Iron into your crafting grid to make Flint and Steel.
