Minecraft Bedrock & Java Editions Coming To Xbox Game Pass For Pc In November

Both versions of the Mojang classic are coming to Xbox Game Pass for PC.

Some might take for granted that Minecraft has been around for a decade and can be played on just about any platform. However, it’s not a free-to-play game. It still costs money to jump in. However, that’s about to change for Xbox Game Pass users. During Saturday’s Minecraft Live show, it was revealed that both Minecraft’s Bedrock and Java Editions would be available as part of Xbox Game Pass for PC.

I see you raising your hand in the back, Minecraft newbie, and you’re asking, “What is the difference between Java and Bedrock?” The short answer is, Java is the original Minecraft, which is still supported to this day. Bedrock is the newer, multi-platform version of Minecraft, the one on which console versions are built. As such, Bedrock is the Minecraft that supports cross-platform play. Now that this question has been answered, PC users can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that both Minecraft versions will be available through Xbox Game Pass for PC as part of a package called the Minecraft PC Bundle.

It won’t be long before Xbox Game Pass for PC owners can jump into Minecraft, with November 2 just a few weeks away. We have much more from Minecraft Live, so check out Shacknews and catch up with the latest updates.

    Minecraft Java Edition PC Mac

While these issues were acknowledged by Mojang, it looks like another bug has surfaced. According to reports , Minecraft Java Edition players are facing trouble using the Launcher on Game Pass for PC.

Many say they have already purchased the game but it shows up as if they dont own the game.

Some say they get an error saying Minecraft Launcher is currently not available in your account. Make sure you are signed in to the Store and try again.

Generic resolutions such as reinstalling the game, resetting the Microsoft Store app, and logging in and out of Microsoft accounts do not seem to work at the moment.

Hello! Yesterday I purchased Minecraft from the minecraft.net website on this new PC I got for Christmas. It told me to download the Minecraft Launcher so I can play it, but the download for that was stuck at about 5% for the whole day. When i closed the window, it came up with an error message of: Minecraft Launcher is not currently available in your account. Check you are signed into the Store and try again. with an error code. But this is puzzling since i bought it from Minecrafts website, and not the Microsoft Store. For the record I am signed into the store, if that helps. Can anyone help? Thanks!

Java, Bedrock, and Minecraft Dungeons will be in one complete PC bundle.

During this year’s Minecraft Live Mojang has announced that Minecraft is coming to Xbox Game Pass for PC this November.

The ‘Minecraft PC bundle’ will include both Java and Bedrock versions of the block-building sandbox alongside its dungeon-crawling spinoff Minecraft Dungeons. Minecraft already has its own launcher on PC, but it seems like Microsoft is pushing for all its games to be under one subscription umbrella.

Both Minecraft Bedrock and Minecraft Dungeons were already available on the console versions of Game Pass, but this new Minecraft PC bundle will be the first time the Java version will be available on the subscription service. The difference between the two is, put simply, Java is better for modding, Bedrock is better for cross-platform play. Mojang has made clear, mind, that cross-platform play between Java and Bedrock is still not possible.

Having both versions in one place is pretty handy. To play with friends you all need to be using the same version and, previously, the two have been completely non-interchangeable. They’ll still remain separate but Game Pass will make switching between versions much more accessible. You’ll only need to go to one place to play any Minecraft game.

Now Minecraft has been available for what seems like forever, but if for some reason youve managed to avoid it, you have no excuse now. This is the ultimate sandbox video game. Theres a reason its the best-selling video game of all time.

Minecraft has come a long way since its inception as a simple sandbox exploration game. There are now multiple game modes, customization that makes nearly anything possible, and multiplayer support.

Both the Java and Bedrock Editions of Minecraft will be available on Xbox Game Pass. If youre confused, the Java Edition is PC only, meaning no cross-play with console. However, its much more flexible in terms of gameplay as you can download any skin online or even make your own to use and you have access to all of the community-made mods, meaning nearly endless gameplay experiences. Again, the only drawback is you cant play with people on other platforms so if all of you dont mind playing on PC, Java Edition could be the way to go.
