What Is The Resource Pack Format
When you create a new texture pack, you must choose a format. Different formats are used for different versions of Minecraft. The version of Minecraft a pack format is intended for will be in brackets.
The version of Minecraft you are using can be found in the bottom left corner of the main menu in Minecraft, choosing the correct format will ensure that the pack works correctly.
Resource packs cannot be easily converted from one format to another, and they are not backwards compatible so choose carefully.

A jar file should be found inside this folder, and players should right-click it and press “copy”.
Players must now create a new folder inside the main .minecraft directory. This new folder can be named anything. Inside this folder, the copied jar file should then be pasted.
After this has been done, players need to right-click the freshly pasted jar file and press the option titled “extract to.”

Creatorpack Resource Pack 119 / 118

CreatorPack is a resource pack for minecraft that, at the time of writing this, has only been out for a few days and its already received quite a bit of attention and praise from the minecraft community. It was designed by creatorLabs team and without forgetting to regularly update their previous packs, they worked hard and works to this day to develop packs like this. There are a few reasons why CreatorPack resource pack became popular in a short period of time. First of all, it was created by them same team who designed 3D CreatorCraft and 3D Seasons packs. This time creatorLabs desided to create their own default themed pack, and lets be honest, they did it very well. CreatorPack is a stunning resource pack that were certainly glad is released.
What Is The Difference Between Resource Packs And Texture Packs
For many, these two terms cause confusion. Colloquially, both terms mean the same thing, but technically, the differences are clear. First, the little previous history. Both names exist because until the full version 1.6 the name texture packs were used for resource packs. The renaming was done because resource packs have even more functions. Roughly speaking, the biggest difference is that resource packs can also be used to customize the Minecraft sounds. Furthermore, the complete structure of the file has also been revised. This change was very serious at that time because suddenly some texture packs were no longer compatible with the new Minecraft version. In the meantime, the new structure does not cause any more problems. We personally prefer to use the older name, because it is still widely used in the community and arouses nostalgia.

How Does A Texture Pack Work
Due to the simple blocky and pixelated world of Minecraft, an in-game texture is nothing but an image wrapped upon a bunch of cubes. These cubes then combine to create separate structures, mobs, and even in-game items. As you might expect, if there are any changes made to these textures or image files the changes are reflected inside your Minecraft world.
Texture Resolution
The default resolution for these textures is 16×16 pixels. But players can push them up to 128×128 pixels. Though, such high-quality textures might not work well on every platform. So, sticking to the resolution of 16×16 pixels or 32×32 pixels is your best bet.
Create A Manifest File

To load a resource pack into Minecraft, a manifest file will need to be created. The manifest file is a JSON file that contains the following information:
- Description: In-game description of what the resource pack does.
- Name: In-game name of the resource pack.
- UUID: Universally Unique Identifier.
- Version: Version of the resource pack.
- Minimum Engine Version: Required version of Minecraft that this pack will work in.
Note
To learn more about how a manifest.json file works, see the the Addons Reference manifest.json documentation.
Minecraft will parse the information from the manifest file and display it in the Add-On section of the game. Inside the file, the information will be split into two separate sections: header and modules. The header section will contain the overall information for the pack, and the modules section will contain the dedicated packages information.

You can also apply a CIT by using the /give command. Use the command get the base item and give the item a name . However, please be aware that the way you name an item with the /give command varies between versions.
If you want to get creative with commands, I recommend using a an online command generator, like this one.
Are Minecraft Texture Packs Free
Most of the time in life, really great things are very expensive. With Minecraft texture packs, its different, because most of them dont cost money. This fact is due to the fact that already since the Alpha version, some players published their creations for free on the internet. They just had fun editing textures, and nobody thought about charging money for it back then. Therefore, it is still common practice that the game textures are gratis for Java Edition.
However, there are of course some exceptions, but as a PC gamer, you should not pay attention to them. In contrast, the situation is slightly different with the Bedrock Edition. Right from the start, the Marketplace has been integrated, offering skin packages, worlds, mashup packages, and texture packs. The sales platform is there so that the creators can earn some money with their works. On some consoles, like PlayStation 4, you are unfortunately completely bound to the Marketplace. This is a bad thing because you have to spend Minecoins for each pack, which you can only get with real money. But the cross-platform availability is an advantage. In plain language, this means that if you bought a Texture Pack on a mobile device, you can use it also with your game console. A prerequisite is that you use the same Microsoft account.
