How Do You Put Custom Skins In A Console
How do you put PC skins in Console Edition without hacking or editing the game files? I am asking because I want to use my Superchu skin on my PS4 and Xbox One. I want to do broadcasts with that skin.
- 1@MCAydenBird you can’t on consoles. PC is different because you got complete control over your computer and as such can use mods. Sony and Microsoft are MUCH more stringent about the content that comes on their consoles. They don’t want e.g. someone appearing as a completely naked humanoid, mainly to protect children. ‘bedrock Edition’s’ Special Skin Options
The “Bedrock” version of the game also offers an in-game skin creator, as well as paid skins made by Mojang and partners.
The in-game skin creator can be found in the “Edit Character” menu, which we’ll show how to get to in the longer “Bedrock” section below. It gives a ton of color and style customization options for your skin, letting you edit each body part individually.
Some skin options in this menu will need to be unlocked first, either by earning achievements or by paying for them. You can use real money or Minecoins which are purchased using real money to buy skins.
A number of these premium skins are listed in the character creator, but you can find all of them by going back to the main menu and clicking “Marketplace.” There’s also an online store you can get to through your web browser.

They should do it through an app, like the Mojang app and let you upload it if you sign into your account.

At this point, with no updates on their progress in this area, Im convinced they decided not to do it. They sell too many skins, tex packs and such on Xbox.
Have asked every official Minecraft twitter account just for a progress update on this and nothing, total silence.
I used to defend and stick up for them, going by their FAQ statement but its been too quiet for too long.
Minecraft Skin Not Appearing On Playstation
Playstation has its own version of Minecraft which was converted to the Bedrock version of Minecraft. Originally Xbox, Mobile, and Playstation versions all were separate from each other, but after Microsoft bought Mojang studios, those other versions were merged together into the Bedrock version. This merger excluded the Playstation version, which makes sense as Microsoft is trying to garner much more interest in their console, the Xbox One.This version of Minecraft also handles skins different from the previous two different versions. The Playstation version of Minecraft uses the PlayStation marketplace to purchase the skin packs that allow users to change your Minecraft skin easily. One prime example of this is Minecraft Skin Pack 1 and is currently priced at $2.99.Which consists of just waiting until the server refreshes or updates your client. There are a variety of different methods to try and fix this issue including:
- Method 1
- Method 7

Minecraft Skin Not Appearing On Xbox
Minecraft skins work a bit differently for the Xbox version. It is called the Bedrock edition. While this version is available on the PC version, the Bedrock version is currently the only way to enjoy Minecraft on the Xbox and on your mobile devices. The Bedrock version doesnât allow for custom skins instead having skin packs that are either created and sold on the included marketplace or created by the Mojang team themselves.Skin packs released by Mojang Studios have been thoroughly checked and shouldnât have any issue. Instead, the most common issue will most likely be the lagging behind when updating the skin on the Microsoft server if you are playing online as compared to if you are playing on a single player world. This issue can be solved in a variety of ways, which are explained in Method one.The main idea is to either restart the Minecraft game or to wait until the skin is updated many say that this happens exceedingly quickly, but others have said how it can take up to an hour to complete the skin change. Some have even reported success by completely restarting the Xbox, which then reconnects the Xbox service. This can update the skin but take a considerable amount of time. There are a variety of different methods to try and fix this issue including:
- Method 1
- Method 7

Minecraft Skin Not Appearing On Multiplayer
Multiplayer in Minecraft handles the skin quite differently depending on the version that you are currently playing. This is mostly due to the slower connection taking longer to download the skins.Sadly, there isnât a direct fix for the issue, and instead, the best method to potentially fix this problem is method seven or to get your internet upgraded. How To Get Custom Skins On Minecraft Xbox One
Minecraftfans have long clamored for Mojang and Microsoft to implement custom skins in the game’s console versions. These let you change Alex or Steve to look like pretty much whatever you want, from skeletons to zombies, blobs, or myriad other things. But what’s the deal with custom skins on Xbox One?
Minecraft Java lets you customize Alex and Steve, but how can you do it in the Bedrock version on Xbox One?
Well, you can’t.
Despite fans having asked for it repeatedly, Minecraft: Bedrock Edition, the version currently on consoles, still won’t let you make custom skins or upload them legally, at least.
There’s always the option to hack your system and upload mods you’ve created or downloaded on PC, but doing that voids your console’s warranty and isn’t really recommended.
That leads to the reason why custom skins can’t be used in Minecraft for Xbox One or other consoles. Like most PC games, Minecraft Java lets you have control over your game’s files and basically everything associated with it. There’s no tampering or hacking required to modify certain things, hence the fact there’s a lively PC modding scene.
Accessing those files on a console requires hacking the system, which gives access to the entire operating system and opens the door to piracy, code manipulation, and a number of other potential issues and legal headaches for companies.
