That is the question I have… I hit it with wheat, didn’t work. Held down on the cow with wheat, still didn’t work. Threw it out of my inventory, STILL didn’t work. They said that on the iPhone for version 0.6.0 or 0.6.1 there were clouds… And my friend was able to feed them. I play mine on the iPad, there actually aren’t clouds and I am not able to feed them or breed them. I see baby Animals though. This is probably a bug if you’re playing on the iPad, if you are playing on iPhone then try throwing out of your inventory, hitting it with it, and holding down, as if you we’re using shears.

    Hay Bales Feed Animals Pasively

Title pretty much saves it all. You place a Hay Bale on the ground- nearby animals wonder to it, “eat it”, it activates baby making mode, and boom- bred. It’s obviously not permanent, after 9 cows “eat” the hay, its gone. It’s realistic and adds a great feature, with very little work required.Function:Nearby animals will “eat” hay bales placed down and activate it’s “breed mode” like you fed it with wheat.Uses:Use this to lure animals to the spot it’s placed.Use this with pistons to create a currently non-automatable process. Saves time, from having to spam wheat in a pack of cows.Details:9 BAs per hay bale.An animal has to be next to the hay bale for it to actually work.Doesn’t activate if there is a block above the hay bale. Lures certain mobs within 5 blocks.Balance:9 BAs because 9 wheat is in a hay bale.If you break the bale of hay after it’s been eaten. If it will remember that it’s been eaten, If you try to deconstruct it, you will get less wheat for each BA it gave.Only works with animals that can normally be bred with hay bales. If the animal attempts to reach the hay and fails, it will wonder around once more.Notes:There are lots of automated farms in game, and this isn’t a ‘reactor power mod auto machine breeder’- this still feels very tame, and very Minecraft.Doesn’t require a new block, and gives a new purpose to existing blocks.Makes sense, and normally in real life that is how you feed cows.
