Departing From The End
As mentioned before, leaving the End isn’t as simple as going back the way you came. The End Portal will drop you off near the outskirts of the main island, and you won’t be able to return. The only way back is another gateway in the center of the End, built out of bedrock and surrounded by massive obsidian obelisks. Oh, and the ender dragon is there too.
The only problem? That gateway won’t activate unless the ender dragon is fought and slain in glorious combat. That means you need to be fully prepared to defeat the big boss whenever you arrive, or risk being stranded in the End for all eternity, unless you die, of course.
If you die, you return back to the last place that you rested, like usual. So you do have a way out if you want to take it, but you will most likely lose anything you have on you. Not the best route if you didn’t drop off all your loot before heading through the End Portal.
Once you’ve defeated the ender dragon, the gateway in the middle of the End will activate, and you can return home. Also, you’ll get treated to the closest Minecraft has to credits, signifying that you’ve sort of beaten the game, or at least as close as you can in Minecraft.

How To Make An End Portal In Minecraft’s Creative Mode
The frame pieces of an End Portal can’t be crafted. However, in Creative mode, you can find these frames in your inventory and place them freely.
This means that you don’t need to hunt for an End Portal you can just make one from scratch.
1. Open your infinite inventory and grab your materials. You’ll need 12 Eyes of Ender, and 12 End Portal Frames.;
2. Now let’s start building. To easily make sure that the frames are placed correctly, dig a 3×3 grid in the ground and stand inside of it.
3. Position yourself within the grid and face outward, and then place End Portal Frames along the edge of the grid. How you place the frames matters the sides of the frames with extra green need to be facing the inside and outside, not toward the blocks next to them. Standing inside the grid should ensure they’re placed correctly.

Throw The Eye Of Ender
First, you need to select an Eye of Ender in your hotbar and then throw it into the air to see which direction it goes.
The game control to throw the Eye of Ender depends on the version of Minecraft:
- For Java Edition , right click to throw the Eye of Ender.

Finding Strongholds In Minecraft
The easiest and quickest way to find strongholds in Minecraft is to use cheats. Granted, these do remove achievements and are usually met with a general disdain from the community. Using cheats is still the fastest way to find one.

Using the /locate cheat is the best way to find a stronghold. Input “/locate stronghold” and the coordinates will come up in the chat. If Minecraft cheats are on, then there’s really no reason not to use another cheat once that’s done. /teleport will teleport a user to the coordinates, so that’s the fastest way to get there, too.
Aside from using cheats, there are a couple of ways to find them legitimately. The first being the way the game was intended to be played: with eyes of ender. Players will need a lot of ender pearls to craft enough, so killing every Enderman is a good idea. If there is a Crimson Forest in the Nether, they will spawn there more frequently. Making The End Portal
Once you’ve reached the portal room, you’re almost done. For safety, fill in all the lava and destroy the monster spawner. This will prevent any unfortunate accidents.
At the top of the staircase is the broken End Portal. The portal’s entire frame is there, but a number of Eyes of Ender will be missing. Carefully fill in all the missing pegs with Eyes of Ender to activate the structure.
Once you’ve placed all the pearls, you’ll hear a loud booming sound, and darkness will fill the portal. Once you jump in, you’ll be taken to The End, and the final boss, the Ender Dragon.
Make sure you’re ready to face it before you step inside, because once you do, the only way back is by dying or winning.
