Growing A Large Forest Tree
You will need 4 jungle tree saplings to create one large jungle tree. Jungle trees can be up to 30 blocks tall and will yield 25 forest logs.
Place your 4 jungle tree saplings on dirt or grass in a 2×2 area.
Using 1 bone meal, right-click one of the saplings. Once the tree grows, it will automatically grow all four saplings, making a giant forest tree!
Don’t forget to collect your saplings after you break the tree down! Use shears to collect the leaves and vines, if you want!

Creating An Automated Farm
Now that you know the basics of mushroom-farming, you might want to try creating a more complex or automated farm. The same rules will apply regarding spreading, the light levels, and when your crop will stop spreading.
There are many ways to make an automated mushroom farm, and I’ve found that all of the methods are a bit tedious. This is why the simple version is good enough for me. Some items you’re going to need are a few pickaxes, 20 redstone, a few glass blocks, a switch, a sticky piston, 2 buckets of water, and a smooth stone.
Once you have all the necessary items, find a large area in your home. You’ll want to find an area you can use just for this purpose. Similarly to the simple farm, I recommend putting a door at the entrance to this area. The video below describes the easiest means of creating an automated mushroom farm. The video includes step-by-step instructions and the directions are easy to follow.
Large Jungle Tree Farm
Large jungle trees are a great way to farm huge amounts of logs , but they require a lot of space to grow and an even larger setup is needed to farm these trees efficiently.
What I do is build a large frame around the 3×3 grid where I planted the saplings. This frame will have ladders which allow me to climb up to 32 blocks, from which I can then jump to the tree. However, some jungle trees will be relatively small, though never enough to kill you from fall damage, if you have full health of course.
The frame will be a large, 7x7x32 block hollow frame. This allow the jungle tree to grow side branches through the openings and it makes building the frame less time consuming.
I also tend to build at least 4 of these frames, usually in a square. This allows me to grow multiple jungle trees and I wont have to wait too long for the jungle trees to grow. If you create even more of these frames, waiting will barely be an issue. As trees will usually grow while youre harvesting one tree.

Requirements For A Farm
Farms require a few constants in order to grow and produce crops:
- dirt blocks
- water blocks
- light source
As in real life, every crop that you harvest in Minecraft needs to be grown in dirt. Dirt blocks make up large portions of most Minecraft worlds and are incredibly easy to acquire. It is impossible to plant and farm crops on any other material block . As long as the conditions are appropriate, crops can be farmed both above land and underground as long as they are planted on dirt blocks.
How To Use Every Tree In Minecraft
Every tree can be cut down with an axe. If you want to avoid hacking away at leaves all day, you can break all the raw wood blocks in the leaves and the leaves will begin to deteriorate on their own. Jungle trees are special in that you can plant cocoa beans on the trunks of them to grow more cocoa beans.
Every other tree is relatively simple and with the 2×2 trees, you can easily procure every wooden block by carving a staircase upwards and mining your way back down.
If you grow an oak or birch tree within 2 blocks of any flower there is a 5% chance that it will spawn with a bee nest and 1-3 bees in it.

By simply assigning 1 or 2 people to apply bonemeal and a small group of people to cut the trees down, huge amounts of logs can be aquired in no time.

Creating A Mushroom Farm In Five Steps
Mushrooms will only spawn at a light level of 12 or less. They will spread up to two blocks away in all directions, including diagonally. All you really need to establish a mushroom farm is a decently sized area that’s dark enough.
Afk Tree Farm Designs
Several mobs in the game can break blocks, and most of them have been used for wood farming. An overly complex design featuring creepers was made, but the insane size of it makes constructing it anywhere exceptionally difficult. A different design that uses ghasts is also available and much simpler to make, however when ghasts break blocks they destroy most of them, making tree farming with the ghast extremely inefficient.
The wither makes it possible to auto-break blocks by using the wither’s ability to break any blocks within a 3Ã3Ã4 area of it one second after it has been damaged. The wither can be trapped in bedrock in any of the dimensions. Because of the larger breaking area on Bedrock Edition, you can grow oak, birch, jungle, acacia, spruce, and even dark oak inside the breaking area of the wither.
A newer method of caging in the wither has also been found that enables a tree farm to be build anywhere while at the same time using the wither to break the wood blocks. Although potentially more dangerous than encasing the Wither in bedrock , this cage has been found to be completely reliable as long as it is built correctly. It works by distracting each head with mobs without them being able to damage those mobs.

Farming Spruce And Birch
Farming spruce trees in an efficient way.
Unlike oak trees, spruce and birch trees never grow to a branched tree. This makes them easier to harvest, but to farm Birch and Spruce trees efficiently, more space is required.Birches can be planted next to other birches with 2 blocks of space between them since the birch leaves can overlap with other birch leaves. This same spacing holds true for spruces. However, when planting the different types of trees together, birch and spruce trees need 4 blocks of space in between the saplings . Both birch and spruce trees require 9 blocks of vertical space above the sapling to grow regularly . Both spruce and birch grow with less space, but not as regularly. Like other saplings, they must receive light level 8 or better to grow.

Place Dirt Within Four Blocks Of Water
Once you’ve built your underground room and set up a light source, make sure that your dirt blocks are always within four blocks of a water block. To properly maximize the output of your farm, place one water block in the middle of a 9×9 patch of dirt blocks. This one block hydrates the farmland surrounding it and allows you to grow more crops in a smaller space. You can place as many 9×9 squares on your farm as you wish.
This method is great for growing wheat, carrots, beets, and potatoes however, melons and pumpkins require an extra dirt block to grow on and may need a more creative layout. You dont need to design your underground farm this way, but it is a simple and efficient setup.

Harvest Crops When They’re Full
Harvesting your crops prematurely results in killing the plant and getting back the seeds if you harvest wheat before its time, you will get back wheat seeds and have to plant it all over again. Fully grown crops are at their tallest and are sometimes more yellow than green. When pumpkins and melons are fully grown, the crop grows onto the dirt block next to the plant.
When you harvest a fully grown crop, you receive the end product along with new seeds to plant in its place. In later Minecraft versions, you can right-click on most crops to harvest them without ripping out the seeds!

Basic Small Mushroom Farming
This method relies on thorough lighting to ensure a monster-free, no-mining-required farm for the beginner mushroom farmer. Create a room two blocks high and as large horizontally as desired. At regular intervals dig one block up into the ceiling of your room, and place a torch to create recessed lighting. This will cast light of level 12 at floor height, allowing mushrooms to grow and spread. You can place torches at a distance of up to six squares between each other with no danger of mobs spawning. This setup will allow for the fastest mushroom growth. Spread the mushrooms on the floor with room around them to grow and wait.
Another way involves making the farming area just one block high and paving any walkways with slabs and using a water system to channel the mushrooms out of the farm room and into a collection point. This removes most of the danger since mobs cannot spawn on half-blocks or in one-block-tall areas and any other areas can be lit up. The Nether is a safe place to start a mushroom farm since mobs there will not spawn in small spaces.
Another option is to prepare a large underground room and use bonemeal to grow huge mushrooms, which can then be mined for multiple mushrooms per mushroom block. In order to secure a reliable source of bonemeal, the player can set up a crop farm and grow wheat, potatoes, carrots, pumpkins or melons as a “fodder crop” and use a composter to convert the produce and any excess seeds into bonemeal.
