How To Make Explosive Arrows In Minecraft

Creating or obtaining explosive arrows in Minecraft is impossible, as there is no item like that in the game. However, that doesnt mean you cant make them with command blocks. All you need to make explosive arrows are two command blocks and to follow the steps below.

The first command block is needed to execute the command for the arrow to explode, which means to summon TNT. To make a block like that, you will need to put a command block, then enter run summon tnt] in the Console Command. The game has information about the current position of an arrow, like In Ground. The command weve entered means that the block will make arrows explode when they change their position to InGround, which means they hit some block and stick in it. After that, you will need to put the command block in the Repeat mode and the Needs Redstone mode.

When youve created the first block, you will be able to shoot explosive arrows, but they will make explosions constantly. The second block is needed to make them disappear after they hit the ground. Put it above the first block and set it in the Chain mode and the Always Active mode. After that, enter ] in the Console. It will kill all your arrows after they hit the ground and have made the first explosion.

Now your explosive arrows are done. Enjoy your playthrough!

    Which Is Applied First

When you hit an entity, is the damage dealt before the effect, or viceversa?Because with some command blocks, if the effect is applied first, you could make an arrow with absorption and regeneration and be able to heal people without getting them killed, say, if they had half a heart. That way you could act as a medicwithout killing them instantly with irony. 02:18, 11 March 2016

Would you be able to do that experiment and report back? Though you may be hampered by arrows not dealing damage in an exactly predictable way. Thats the impression I got from the article in the paragraph about damage, it says about so-and-so many hearts, never claiming an exact figure.
Another good question would be, does the potion damage wait until after the 1/2 second invincibility frame from the arrow damage.
Maybe when Anomie x gets some time, he could shed some light on how this all works? Sealbudsmantalk/contr 05:03, 11 March 2016
    The order of things is:

  • Set the target on fire if the arrow is burning.
  • Apply damage from the arrow. If the entity is immune, skip the rest of this and multiply the momentum by -0.1 .
  • Add an arrow sticking out of the target.
  • Apply knockback.
  • Apply thorns to the shooter, if applicable.
  • Apply the slowness from Bane of Arthropods to the target, if applicable.
  • Apply potion effects from tipped and spectral arrows, if any.
  • Play the arrow-hit sound.

Minecraft: How To Make Poison Arrows In Minecraft

Here’s everything players need to know about how to make poison arrows in Minecraft

To make poison arrows in Minecraft, you will need one potion of lingering potion of poison and at least eight arrows. When you get all of the materials, you will need to place the potion and arrows inside a crafting table using the pattern shown in the image above.

But before you can do this, you will need to go through the steps to make both arrows and Lingering Potion of Poison in Minecraft. Starting with the arrows, you can make arrows with the materials listed below.

    • One Stick – You can make sticks from wood planks.
    • One Flint – mining gravel can get you flint.
    • One Feather – Chickens can get you feathers.

Place these materials starting with flint, followed by the stick, and then feather to make arrows – simple and easy, right?

Now for the harder part, which is the potion. In short, you will need to start off with making a regular potion of poison, which requires one nether wart, a spider eye, and one water bottle – you will also need blaze powder to power a brewing stand.

To get a nether wart and blaze powder, you will need to go to the Nether. Nether warts can be found growing in farms near nether fortresses, and blaze powder can be made from blaze rods you can get from blazes at these same fortresses.

There are numerous types of tipped arrows, each with its own unique effect. Some can be utilized to buff or add an ability to oneself or fellow players, while others can be used to weaken or damage enemy mobs over time. This section will list each type of Tipped Arrow while giving a brief explanation or added details to those which aren’t as self-explanatory.

    • For bows enchanted with Infinity, the enchantment only works on normal arrows, so Tipped Arrows will still be consumed when shot by the bow.
    • It’s also possible to craft Tipped Arrows by using Lingering Water bottles in addition to Awkward, Thick, and Mundane Lingering Potions. The resulting item is an arrow of Splashing if a water bottle is used. Mundane, Awkward, and Thick potions create tipped arrows, but all of these varieties have no effect and work like normal arrows. The only difference is a splashing visual of blue particles are laced to the arrow when shot.
    • Up to 48 arrows can be tipped once a Cauldron is entirely filled with a potion.
    • Tipped Arrows can not be made with potions of Mining Fatigue, Haste, Nausea, or Blindness.
    • Tipped Arrows of the same effect will stack, but those of different effects do not stack.
    • These arrows will work about almost any mob, so they make for good combat options, especially from a distance.
    • Normal bows and crossbows are both compatible with Tipped Arrows.

Tipped Arrows In Minecraft: Everything You Need To Know

In Minecraft, players who need a little extra ability from their loosed arrows can try tipped arrows, which can apply a miniaturized version of a potion’s effect when it hits a mob or player.

Gaining significantly more distance than a thrown splash potion, tipped arrows don’t have the full potency of a potion but can deal significant effects in combat situations. Effects like poison, invisibility, healing, and slowness can be applied to entities like mobs or players, meaning tipped arrows can also be used to support allies in battle just as much as they can be used to harm or hinder opponents.

    Tipped Arrows: An Overview

Tipped Arrows function like any other shot arrowwith an added bonus. They’re a subtype of arrow that hit their target with the effect of a splash potion when striking the mob or player. This is achieved by crafting them within the crafting grid, using normal arrows as well as Lingering Potions.

A target hit with these arrows will be inflicted with the same effects they would if a splash potion at them. The differences are that, while more precise, the duration of any effect of a potion is only 1/8th the length of time compared to the potion in its normal state.

Most of these arrows can be used to weaken and chip away at mobs, but some can also be shot at players to help them in certain ways.

Tipped Arrows have varying degrees of longer-lasting effects or slightly more powerful effects.
