What Is An End Portal

How to Get to the End in Minecraft Creative Mode

It is the portal that the player uses to reach the End. It is generally found in the room that lies in the stronghold. This room is found normally underground. This portal room is based deep inside of the stronghold. As of the latest update, it can be only made in creative mode.

Minecraft gives two ways to reach an end portal. In a first way, the players have to create the end portal all by themselves. And the second method includes finding an existing frame that is present in the stronghold.

Where To Find End Portal Frame

End portals are found in the portal room hanging horizontally over the lava pool. A staircase that leads straight up to the portal and a silverfish spawner sitting on it. According to the world seed, each individual end portal frame block has a 10% chance of containing an eye of ender. The frame has the highest probability of generating with only one eye of ender , with probabilities dropping to 28.2% for zero, 23.0% for two, 8.52% for three, 2.13% for four, and a total of 0.433% for five or more.

Prepare A Lot Of Blocks

Assuming you haven’t found an Elytra yet, the best way to travel in the End is to bridge across its multiple islands. Sometimes these gaps between floating landmasses can be well over 64 blocks, so the more you can fit stacks upon stacks of blocks in your inventory, the better.

A great idea is to grab along a cheap block in its regular form, such as cobblestone, and once in the End, use a crafting table to turn it into slabs. Even better, pack along a stonecutter tool, which makes the crafting process way easier and simple for slabs. Slabs allow you to place half of a regular block and actually save up on inventory space when you craft them on the spot.

Other cheap blocks include any type of block that you most likely won’t need in the future, such as netherrack, which is easy and quick to mine and doesn’t really serve an important purpose. Dirt, diorite, granite, and andesite are also great if you happen to be low on cobblestone.

To fit more in your inventory, create two Ender chests, one in your house and one in your inventory. Store your extra blocks in your house’s Ender chest so you can access them while in the End. Don’t forget to take a Silk Touch pickaxe with you as well so you can safely break the Ender chest while on the go.

Activating The End Portal

To activate the End Portal, you will need 12 Eyes of Ender. Open your Inventory and search for Eye of Ender. Equip this item.;

Place each Eye of Ender into an End Portal Frame. As you insert the Eyes of Ender, be sure to do so while standing outside of the frame. If you stand inside while the End Portal activates, you will immediately teleport to the End. The last Eye of Ender will activate the End Portal.;

And thats all there is to it! Now you can visit the End without the threat of the Ender Dragon or the evil Endermen. Since you can equip anything from your Inventory, you can try out some strategies that will help you feel more confident against the Ender Dragon in Survival Mode. You got this!

What Happens If You Get To The End On Peaceful

How To: Make an End Portal in Creative Mode

I just wondered, what happens if you get to The End on peaceful?

The mobs always disappear on peaceful, so what happens with the enderdragon and such?

As John pointed out in the comments, you’ll need to play on a difficult other than peaceful to collect the ingredients needed for the Eyes of Ender that are used in the creation of an End Portal. Of course, you can always switch to peaceful before going to the End or “hack” in Eyes of Ender, so the question is legitimate.

As one might expect, setting the difficult to peaceful prevents any Endermen from spawning. However, the Ender Dragon is still present and behaves in the same way.

Up Your Render Distance

Those with beefy PCs will benefit from a slight advantage. If your PC can handle it, try to up your render distance as much as possible. The maximum render distance in the Java version is currently 32 chunks, which is the “extreme” render distance option. This can have adverse effects on low-end computers, so use it with caution.

The extreme option allows you to see as far as 512 blocks, which is a massive help in the End where distances can be quite significant between islands. The “far” option, which is 16 chunks, gives you 256 blocks worth of visibility, so anywhere above that or under 32 chunks is still a decent boost. If your PC struggles with this, you can do this momentarily while scouting for faraway islands, and then turn it off once you’re determined which direction you’d like to go.

How To Make An End Portal In Minecrafts Creative Mode

The frame pieces of an End Portal cant be crafted. However, in Creative mode, you can find these frames in your inventory and place them freely.

This means that you dont need to hunt for an End Portal you can just make one from scratch.

1. Open your infinite inventory and grab your materials. Youll need 12 Eyes of Ender, and 12 End Portal Frames.

2. Now lets start building. To easily make sure that the frames are placed correctly, dig a 3×3 grid in the ground and stand inside of it.

3. Position yourself within the grid and face outward, and then place End Portal Frames along the edge of the grid. How you place the frames matters the sides of the frames with extra green need to be facing the inside and outside, not toward the blocks next to them. Standing inside the grid should ensure theyre placed correctly.

4. Now get out of the grid and start placing your Eyes of Ender in the frame. As soon as you place the 12th and final Eye, the portal will activate. Jump in, and youll be transported to The End.

Minecraft Player Builds A Sun To Brighten Up The End

A video posted on Reddit shows one Minecraft player’s artificial sun built in the End. The structure is made of yellow stained glass filled with lava.

A clever;Minecraft player built a giant, artificial sun in the ominous void that is the End. Normally, the sky in the End remains a deep, dark purple that is absent any stars or natural light source, so;the player decided to create their own.

Veteran Minecraft players know the End as one of the game’s most challenging locations. After going through the arduous process of finding an End Portal frame in one of Minecraft‘s hidden Strongholds, players must collect up to twelve Eyes of Ender to activate the portal to the End. There they will find the game’s treacherous main boss, the Ender Dragon, surrounded by a legion of Endermen mobs. Besides the main island of End Stone where the End Dragon waits, players can explore the outer islands to find Ender Cities and Ender Ships that hold valuable loot. Everything in the End is visible thanks to a constant dim light, but no bright light source exists in the region’s sinister sky, unlike the sun and moon which can be seen in the main overworld.

Minecraft How To Go To The End (in creative mode)
  • 1Use an eye of ender. Equip the eye of ender and press use while youre holding it. It will float up into the air, then travel a short distance horizontally in the direction of the nearest stronghold. XResearch source
  • In the Computer version of Minecraft, the closest strongholds are at least 1408 blocks away from the world’s origin point.XResearch source Get to at least this distance before using any eyes of ender.
  • The eye of ender will leave a faint purple trail behind as it moves, so you can follow it even if you lose sight of it.
  • The eye of ender will only work in the Overworld, not the Nether.
  • 2Collect the eye of ender. Each eye of ender has a 20% chance of breaking each time you use it. The other 80% of the time, you can pick it up from where it fell.XResearch source
  • This is why its important to have a couple at a time.
  • 3Walk in the direction of the eye. Strongholds are very far apart in the Computer and Bedrock editions, and there is only one in the entire world in Console edition. To avoid wasting eyes of ender, walk at least 500 blocks before using an eye again.XResearch source
  • Try to walk in the straightest line possible. If you keep your cursor on the eye as it floats, the direction you’re pointed in should be perfect. Check your coordinates and keep the Facing as steady as you can.
  • This does not apply to all versions of Minecraft.
  • Be warned: this is a one-way trip . You cant come back from the portal unless you slay the mighty dragon or die trying.

How To Make A Portal In Minecraft

While you roam the plains and mountains and jungles of Minecraft, marveling at all the virtual beauty that seemingly stretches on forever, a sinister dark side awaits. Among the demons and otherworldly entities lie fortresses to explore, chests to loot, and unique resources to gather. This guide shows you how to make a portal in Minecraft so you can step into these nefarious realms.

Here we show you how to build two portals: One leading to the Nether biome and one to the End biome. While you may be anxious to revisit an End Ship and want to build an End Portal immediately, you need an item from a Nether Fortress to build the portal, which in itself can be difficult to find.; That means you need to build a Nether Portal first.

Brew Potions Of Swiftness And Slow Falling

The End is an extremely boring and tedious dimension to traverse, given how little there is to see and experience. Most of the time you’ll be walking very long distances and possibly spending hours of real-world time looking for an End City, especially if you get particularly unlucky. In this case, anything that speeds the process is worth trying.

Potions of Swiftness are actually a very valid strategy for the End, especially when walking across large island masses. They’re also extremely cheap to brew. You only need some sugar from sugar cane and redstone to extend the duration of the potion. Pack a few of these with you, and you won’t have to waste your hunger on running either.

You’ll also need Potions of Slow Falling if you don’t have good diamond boots with Feather Falling IV. This will help when fighting off Shulkers that levitate you. After brewing an awkward potion with Nether Wart, add in a Phantom Membrane. You can extend the duration with Redstone.

In Minecraft, the End Portal is a unique structure that is used in order to enter the End biome. Heres a look at how you can create it yourself.

    It Makes You Invisible

Other players will not be able to see you when you’re in spectator mode unless they also happen to be spectating the world. This is why spectator mode is often used by administrators on Minecraft servers to check up on any players who might be secretly breaking the rules.

However, if the Glowing status effect is active on the player who’s spectating, it’s possible even for non-spectators to see the player in question. This makes for a fun little prank to pull on your friends who might not expect a ghostly, hovering, and glowing form of another player to pop up before them.

As a spectator, death isn’t technically an option. There are actually only two things that can effectively;deal damage to you and end your;existence while in spectator mode. The first one is falling into the void, while the second involves being killed through the /kill command.

Otherwise, everything else is safe. Hazards like suffocation are simply not a thing since the player can clip through blocks with ease. The same goes for;lava and fire, which don’t burn the spectator. Drowning is equally impossible.

How to get to the end in Minecraft in Creative

The popular Minecraft offers players numerous ways to complete the narrative, but only one to find the Ender Dragon and get into The End biome.

In order to complete the gameplay, players need to know how to create an End Portal. However, a lot of players are rather puzzled about how exactly the portal has to be created, more so in the Pocket Edition of the game. We should note, though, that End Portals can only be physically built in the Creative Mode, but if youre playing a Survival world, you have to find an already present End Portal in a Stronghold.

If you are playing the Creative Mode, you need to have 12 End Portal Frames and 12 Eyes of Ender before you begin the process. You can find the Frames and the Eyes in the Creative menu, so select the items and move them in your inventory.

As soon as you got the items, you have to place the End Portal Frames in a 4×4 pattern, but leave the four corner blocks out, like in the image accompanying this post.

Minecraft Guide: How To Get To The End Quickly And Easily

Getting to the End in Minecraft is no simple feat. Unlike getting to the Nether, you can’t build a portal wherever you want and hop to the End on the way back from the grocery store. There’s a whole process involved, and a pinch of luck, if you want a chance to face the ender dragon. If you do it, you also get access to a whole new dimension filled with new stuff, and the exclusive opportunity to see what Minecraft’s credits look like. Fun.

    Build Your Nether Portal

The frame requires a total of 14 obsidian blocks. Once its built, ignite any obsidian block side facing inward.

Step 1: Place four obsidian blocks on the ground.

Step 2: Stack four obsidian blocks on the left block currently on the ground. This creates a column of five blocks.

Step 3: Stack four obsidian blocks on the right block currently on the ground. This creates a column of five blocks.

Step 4: Connect the two columns using two obsidian blocks.

Step 5: Move your flint and steel or fire charge from your inventory down to the Hotbar and select it.

Step 5: Perform the following to ignite the portal:

    • PC Right-click on the inner side of any obsidian block.
    • Console Select the inner side of any obsidian block and press the left trigger button.
    • Mobile Tap on the inner side of any obsidian block.

Step 6: Step on through to the dark side of Minecraft.

Note: One block in the Nether equals eight blocks in the Overworld, so be wary about how far you stray from the Nether Portal.

Now its time to visit The End.
