How To Use The Kill Command In Minecraft

There is only one way to remove entities from the map effectively. If you try to traverse the entire world and kill the mobs manually, it will take a significant amount of time. You will probably fail at the task since mobs will naturally spawn anyway, diminishing your effort significantly.

Killing all mobs relies on using a kill command in the console. This is technically cheating through the game, but a bit of mob cleanup never hurt anyone if its for better performance.

The /killcommand can be used to remove any entity from the game, including players, mobs, drops, and other items, useful or not. It can be extremely selective when you want it to be, allowing you to remove a single mob at a time by typing its unique identifier as the command parameter. However, it will remove everything when used without any other parameters, including you .

Best Location To Make A Mob Farm

Minecraft mob farms are directly dependent upon players and a dark environment for mob spawning. So, you require the following:

  • The player should stay within a few hundred blocks of the spawn area.
  • For hostile mobs, the farm requires complete darkness for them to spawn effectively.
  • The spawn area should be large enough to spawn, store and move the mobs. Usually, one chunk is enough.
  • If you are planning biome exclusive mobs like Nether mobs, the farm must be in that biome or dimension.

If your mob farm is too high in the sky or too deep in the ground, it might become ineffective while you explore the nearby areas. So, the best place to build mob farms is under the ocean, where its dark enough for mobs to spawn at any time. You can also mine caves and build safe houses for easier exploration.

Alternatively, you can make your Minecraft mob farm buried a few blocks below the ground too. This location makes it easier to explore Minecraft ores within caves without compromising the farms functionality.

If Mobs Could Build

Passive Minecraft Mobs

Passive mobs do not attack the player, even when provoked. Farm animals, such as pigs and chickens, can be bred for resources.

Chicken: Chickens provide feathers, raw chicken or cooked chicken , and eggs. Chickens can be bred by throwing eggs or by feeding seeds to adult chickens.

Cow: Cows provide leather, beef, and milk. Farming cows provides an unending supply of these resources. Give cows wheat and they will breed. Calves can be milked, but if killed, they will not drop any items.

Ocelot: Ocelots are tamable, and once tamed, turn into cats. Creepers are afraid of both ocelots and cats, making them a great defense. You can position ocelots and cats around key perimeters, entrances, or other areas to protect against attack.

Pig: Pigs typically move in groups of 3 or 4, but larger groups can occur when the pigs combine groups. When killed, pigs drop raw pork chops. If pigs are killed by fire, they will drop cooked pork chops. Pigs can be used as transport if the player puts a saddle on them. The pig can be controlled with a carrot or a carrot on a stick. Pigs can be bred with carrots or wheat . If struck by lightning, pigs will turn into zombie pigmen.

Zombie villagers can infect other villagers. They can be cured with a splash potion of Weakness, then fed a golden apple, and waiting for the cure to take effect. Once cured, the villager resumes his or her former profession.

How To Make A Mob Spawner In Minecraft

This wikiHow teaches you how to create a trap for enemy mobs in Minecraft that will allow you to collect the enemies’ dropped items after they die. If you’d rather create an apparatus that allows you to spawn mobs on command, you can use a dispenser in Creative Mode to do so.

Building The Mob Grinder

We’ll start from the bottom of the mob farm and work upwards. First, we’ll build the “mob grinder” that hurts and holds the mobs you spawn.

1. Dig a 2×2 hole in the ground. It only needs to be one layer deep.

2. Place your four treasure chests into the hole, all facing the same direction. When you place two chests next to each other in the same direction, they’ll merge into a “large” treasure chest.

3. Place your four hoppers on top of the treasure chests. Make sure to crouch while you place them, or you’ll just keep opening the treasure chests instead.

4. Place your slabs on top of the hoppers. Again, you’ll want to crouch while you do it.

If you’ve done it correctly, you’ve now got a three-layer mob grinder.

Next, we’ll build the well and bridges.

How To Enter The Command

The quickest way to enter console commands is through the chat window, which is available on all versions of Minecraft. Heres how you open it:

  • Java Edition : Press the T button.
  • Pocket Edition: Tap on the chat button on the screen.
  • Xbox: Press D-pad right on the controller.
  • PlayStation: Press D-pad right on your controller.
  • Nintendo Switch: Press the right arrow button on the controller.
  • Windows 10/Bedrock: Press T.
  • Education Edition : Press on T.

Once the chat window is open, you need to:

  • Press Enter or select the Enter button from the virtual keyboard on the consoles.
  • The game will list every item and mob youve killed in the chat menu on the lower left.
  • If youve killed yourself, press on Respawn to reappear and collect all the loot that you and the mobs dropped.

How To Summon Mobs With No Ai In Minecraft

How to Make Custom Mobs in Minecraft!

Minecraft players can add new mobs to their world through spawn eggs or console commands, and specific commands can even remove the artificial intelligence of these mobs.

Regardless of what players intend to do with an AI-less mob, creating one requires console commands, as spawn eggs will create mobs as they would typically spawn, which includes their AI programming.

    Minecraft Summon Mob Command Generator

Summon custom mobs using this command generators to make a summon command, egg or spawner. You can create custom mobs for Minecraft, with custom mob names, give amob weapons and armor, custom drops with drop chances and all buff mobs with custom attributes.

Custom Name: You can give your mob a custom name. From Java 1.14 you can customize the font color and style. Some versions you need to force display name.

Properties: There is range of simple options to alter your mob. No AI will stop them moving and attacking, invulnerability and persistent can keep them aroundforever. Silent mobs could be scary.

Items: Many mobs can hold items and wear armor. However results vary depending on the mob, all options are enabled for all mobs, because Minecraft cando some quite surprising things.

Enchanted and named items, copy a give command and paste into the item column, or paste the nbt portion into the tag column.

Attributes: Alter mob attributes to give it a vast range of strengths and weaknesses. Ultra fast zombie anyone?

Mounts, for passengers: Passengers are organized in order of top to bottom. Spawn eggs and Spawners do not support the passengers tag, this is a reported Mojang bug. The mob on top, will always have control over the mob it is mounted on as of Java Edition 1.12. Mobs on the bottom have small resistance, they can move slowly towards their own intentions.

Age: When mobs have a baby equivalent negatives numbers are how many ticks until they become an adult.

    Putting On The Finishing Touches

Now that you have a mob farm, there are only a few steps left.

First, place enough torches on top of the mob farm to illuminate the large flat surface. This ensures that mobs will spawn inside of the farm instead of on top of it.

Next, make an “AFK room.” This will be a space for you to safely wait while the mobs spawn and hurt themselves.

Your AFK room can technically be anywhere within 128 blocks of the spawner room. But the best place to put it is high up into the air, approximately 80 blocks above the roof of the farm. Since mobs can’t spawn in midair, going this far into the sky makes your spawner room the only place they can possibly appear.

If you’re not in Creative mode, this is where you’ll really want scaffolding, since it lets you easily climb up and down. Use the scaffolding to rise up 80 blocks from the center of your mob farm. Once there, make a small room for yourself out of any material.

What Is A Minecraft Mob Farm

Mob farms in Minecraft are structures custom-designed to spawn a huge number of mobs at a particular location. The players can then kill these mobs to obtain drops and XP orbs. Alternatively, some farms also use automatic killing systems, but that usually reduces the loot and chances of collecting XP orbs.

As for the spawning, you can make a mob farm around natural mob spawners in Minecraft to get and kill a particular type of mob. Or you can create appropriate circumstances and use different Minecraft biomes for spawning a variety of mobs.

Why Should I Kill All Mobs In Minecraft

Adding a New Mob: How We Make Minecraft – Episode 1

Since the game doesnt persistently despawn some mobs, it will eventually take up a lot of memory and processing power to keep their locations and statuses in check. This can cause it to stutter, lose FPS, and eventually possibly crash from a lack of available memory to use.

Killing all mobs essentially clears a significant portion of the used memory if the world has been open for a long time.

However, when these mobs get killed, any of the loot they drop will be stored in the memory again, which slightly diminishes the commands effectiveness.

Although Minecraft might look simple initially, this block-based game can require an extraordinary amount of computer resources to run smoothly. The game relies on spawning and despawning certain faraway entities like mobs and terrain to keep resource usage minimal, but it doesnt always work.

If the world youre currently playing starts to stutter or lose frames randomly, chances are there are probably too many mobs that havent despawned. Sometimes, these areas havent been interacted with for a long time, while other mobs never despawn by default, such as traders.

Were here to help you kill all mobs quickly by using console commands. Please read our article below to find out how to exterminate them.

    Building The Mob Spawner Tower

  • 1Create the tower. Each side of the tower should be two blocks wide and 28 blocks tall. This will create a 28-block-tall tower with a two-by-two space in its center.
  • 2Add a branch to each side of the tower. Add seven blocks to both blocks on each side of the top of the tower. This should result in four branches of eight total blocks in length pointing out from the center hole of the tower.
  • 3Create a wall around each branch. Each branch will need a two-block-tall wall around it to prevent mobs from jumping out once they fall in.
  • 4Fill in the area between the branches. To increase the surface area upon which mobs can spawn, add cobblestone between each of the branches to create a large, rectangular platform.
  • The cobblestone you use here should be placed at the height of the top of the walls that you built around the branches.
  • 5Create a wall around the whole top of the spawner. This wall should be two blocks tall to prevent mobs from exiting the mob spawner.
  • You can also use a fence for this step.
  • 6Add water to the far end of each branch. Select the bucket of water in your inventory, then select each of the two blocks at the furthest end of each branch. This will create a stream of water that runs from the end each branch toward the center of the spawner, stopping right before it reaches the center hole.
  • Eight blocks is the maximum distance that one block of water will travel over flat land before stopping.
