When Will The Warden Release
The Warden and The Deep Dark biome will launch in Minecraft 1.19, also known as The Wild Update. This is set to launch at some point in 2022. Fortunately, The Wild will also introduce cute frogs and fireflies. Maybe we’ll just stick to exploring the new swamps and avoid the Deep Dark altogether, actually. Adorable frogs sound way better than being scared out of my skin, thank you very much.
The Warden was originally planned to launch in the Caves and Cliffs update in Summer 2021. However, this update was split into two parts, with The Warden and the Deep Dark pushed into the second half, known as Caves and Cliffs part 2, or Minecraft 1.18.
At Minecraft Live 2021, Mojang then revealed that the Warden and the Deep Dark would be pushed back even further, announcing that they will now arrive in Minecraft 1.19 in 2022. Caves and Cliffs part 2 is now available, bringing a significant overhaul to terrain generation with lots of new biomes, such as Dripstone caves.

How Do I Find My Coordinates
To find out what coordinates you are located at in Minecraft, you will need to press the F3 Key in the Java version of the game. This will show a whole lot of different information, but the coordinates are listed in the XYZ portion, or you can use the numbers listed after Block, which are rounder numbers, but not as exact.
Bedrock players can enable coordinates in the settings of their world when they create one. If you didnt enable it when you started, just hit the edit button next to the World you are playing on in the World menu. Look for the area labeled World Options in Game Settings, and make sure Show Coordinates is checked! The coordinates will be shown on your screen in game at the top left.

Where To Find Diamonds In Minecraft
Minecraft worlds only allow you to dig so deep before you hit unbreakable Bedrock. That level is also known as Y=0 because its the bottom of the vertical Y scale in Minecraft coordinates. Diamonds only appear naturally between Y=1 and Y=16, exactly 16 blocks up from the bedrock level.
Diamonds are more abundant the lower you go, so youre more likely to run into them at Y=5 than Y=16, for example. However, the lowest levels are also more dangerous, as lava lakes frequently spawn between Y=4 and Y=10. So you can drop down to Y=5 if you want a great chance to find diamonds, but theres a good chance youll have lava pour through the ceiling as you mine. If you brave those depths, pack a few fire protection potions just in case.
If you want a good mix between safety and good odds to find diamonds, do your mining at Y=11. This puts you within the range where diamonds can spawn, but lava will typically be found at floor level and wont flood your mine shafts.
General Tips & Tricks
- Create a Crafting Table, Furnace, & Storage area near where you are doing all of your mining. This allows you to run back to this area and drop off things and empty your pack. You can smelt ore while doing all of your mining and keep your resources safe while you mine.
- Lava is the most deadly aspect of doing any kind of deep mining. Make sure to bring a Bucket of Water with you in case you fall in. It’s also good practice to return to your storage area to drop off your Diamonds after mining them to avoid any potential risk.
- Grab all of the other Ores that you see while looking for Diamonds. Iron, Gold, Redstone, Copper, Coal, and Lapis Lazuli are all very important resources. Diamond is a key material, but don’t forget the others!
- Never dig straight down! This is a common rule most Minecraft players know, but it’s important to heed it. You can fall into a mob-filled cave or drop right into lava.
- Enchant your pickaxe with the Fortune enchantment. This will give you a chance to get additional Diamonds from mining the ore.
- Create a path back up to the surface. It’s easy to get lost in caves, so we recommend creating a stairway all the way down to where you want to do your mining. Then light it up with Torches so you can find your way back to the surface.

How To Find Diamonds In Minecraft On Xbox
The same concept applies to Minecraft on Xbox. You can find diamonds easily on levels 11 and 12. Either dig your own shaft until you reach the desired location take advantage of a deep ravine or cave system.
It can save you some digging time and spare your tools for another day. Use available blocks to make your way down to avoid fall damage. Some ravines can kill you if you fall.
Using Coordinates To Teleport
If you’re not bothered about doing a bit of teleporting to get around the map, then you can use the coordinates to get to different locations on the map. To teleport, you’ll just need to use the following command :
The command is basically teleport self to these coordinates. If you’re looking for a particular biome or location to teleport to, then you can use a couple of locate commands:
- /locatebiome
- /locate
Locate biome will find you the closest biome of the type you’ve entered. Just start typing the name of the biome and it will fill it in for you. It will then display the coordinates, which you can then click on to automatically enter it in for teleportation. Locate will find you the nearest generated structure spawn. These are things like villages, pillager outposts, temples, shipwrecks, and so on.
You will sometimes see the Y-coordinate as a ~ . That means it will teleport you to the location at the same current height you are at now. So, this can be a gift and a curse, because if you’re underground you likely will just teleport in the middle of a bunch of stone. So, you might want to enter in a higher coordinate like 60 – 70 or so to make sure you’re going to spawn above the ground. You can find more of these in our Minecraft Console Commands Guide!

Getting A Fortune Iii Pickaxe
The player should mine with the Fortune enchantment on a pickaxe, preferably level III, for the next diamond blob, to significantly improve the number of diamonds they get. Also, this is not something they can rely on, but they can try. If they find a large diamond blob, they have an enchanting table, and are confident they can get a Fortune III, it might be worth waiting and acquiring the diamonds later or mining it with a Silk Touch pickaxe and harvesting the ore when they acquire Fortune III. If they see the hint on the table say Fortune III, immediately enchant a diamond pickaxe with it.
Enchanting is somewhat complex, but here is how to bootstrap the equipment needed: Start with at least 5 diamonds. Use the first three for a diamond pickaxe to mine obsidian. Four obsidian blocks plus the other two diamonds and one book are used to craft an enchanting table. In fact, one needs a lot of books, but one is necessary to craft the table.
Obtaining books and bookshelves
For the books, a player needs leather from cows, horses, or llamas, or even from fishing. Leather can also be obtained by bartering with piglins in the Nether. The first book requires just one piece of leather and three pieces of paper , which can be obtained from a cow farm and a sugar cane farm. A wheat farm is useful for breeding the cows. To reach the maximum amount of enchanting, players need 46 leather, one for the book to craft the table and the rest for the bookshelves.

Diamond & Ore Distribution
If youre curious about the changes in general ore distribution, you can find it in the chart below that was shared by the developers at Minecraft. You can see how deep the ground goes now, and that diamond is at the bottom. You will also notice it mentions reduced air exposure. Diamond, Gold, and Coal will spawn more frequently within blocks if it is not exposed to air. This means you wont be finding these ores as much in open areas like caves and ravines.

How To Distract The Warden In Minecraft
Youll know when the Warden is close, as nearby candles and other light sources will start to flash. If the Warden is nearby, you can distract it by throwing something to make noise. For example, if you fire an arrow or throw a snowball, the Warden will investigate the sound and give you a chance to sneak away.
As the Warden is so powerful, you should avoid fighting it at all costs. If you do decide to attack, the Warden will grow in power and become even more formidable. Killing players wearing full Netherite armour in two hits is bad enough, so please don’t make this any worse. Just make sure you have some snowballs around instead.

Where To Dig For Diamonds
Every “Minecraft” world is divided into layers – think of it like altitude. Sea level in “Minecraft” is roughly layer 64, for instance.
Diamonds only spawn at layer 15 and lower, and most commonly between layers 12 and 5. This is pretty deep, almost down to the very bottom of the world.
Quick tip: If you’re not sure what layer you’re on, you can check the debug menu, also known as the F3 screen. This menu shows you your exact coordinates, as well as a wealth of other information.
You can open the debug menu by pressing F3 on a PC, or Fn + F3 on a Mac. Your current layer is the Y coordinate – in this image, 12.0000.
To get there, find a cave, or start digging diagonally down into the earth. Never dig straight down – if you accidentally dig through the ceiling of a cave, you could find yourself falling into lava, or into a massive ravine. Place torches as you go to light the way and track your route.
As you go, you’ll likely run into enemies like spiders, skeletons, zombies, and witches. Stay alert and either avoid these enemies – you’ll usually be able to see or hear them before they notice you – or carefully take them down.
If you need to run, use your blocks to build a tower and escape to higher ground – just don’t slip and get killed by the fall damage. Or if you’re at a dead end, quickly mine into a wall and then place blocks to seal the exit.

What Level Is Bedrock
Bedrock is a block that cant be collected or broken in Survival Mode. Its purpose is to prevent passage into the Void, by acting as an impassable barrier several blocks thick. It is typically found as high as layer 5 or 6 at the bottom of the Overworld, and can also be found near the top of the Nether.
Best Method For Mining Diamonds In Minecraft
Diamond Ore can only be mined with an Iron Pickaxe or better. As of 1.18, Diamonds are far less common in open spaces like caves, which means to maximise your chances of finding Diamonds in Minecraft you should strip-mine in straight lines in all directions.
The best method for mining Diamonds in Minecraft 1.18 is to dig down to level -57 and dig a long 2-block-tall tunnel in any direction. Then start to mine out to either side in more 2×1 tunnels, leaving a 2-block-wide gap between each new tunnel.
Once you’re satisfied you’ve strip-mined all Diamonds on that level, repeat the whole process at level -53. If you dig in this way at both levelw -57 and -53, then you’ll be able to see all Diamonds that spawn between levels -58 and -51. This gives you the highest concentration of Diamonds without intermittently running into blocks of Bedrock that may otherwise hinder your strip-mining progress.
If you’re playing on Minecraft 1.17 or earlier, you can use this exact same method but using levels 6 and 10.
While mining, it’s a good idea to keep a Water Bucket on your person, because pockets of lava are fairly common at these levels. Remember also to bring plenty of torches to light your way and prevent mobs from spawning in your tunnels. Alternatively you could light your way using Night Vision potions – though this won’t prevent mobs from spawning.
