Minecraft Tutorial: How To Make A Town House (2019 City Tutorial)
Village Building

A small farm grows around a stream of water in a village.

Villages may also spawn with animal pens, farms, wells, and lamps. Most villages also have a meeting point with a bell that produces sound when you click on it. Ringing a bell warns villagers to flee to the safety of their homes. The bell also reveals mobs within 64 blocks by making them glow! A bell is a useful tool, but it has no crafting recipe some villagers may sell a bell for 36 emeralds.

A larger house allows for more beds and more villagers.

Clearing In Forest Minecraft Seed

The next candidate on our list of best Minecraft seeds suitable for building a city feels almost custom-made. It spawns you in a square-shaped chunk of clear plains surrounded by forest, which is further surrounded by rivers and mountains. This scenic structural seed offers the perfect spawn point for players to build one of the most iconic-looking cities or bases.

Plenty of mushroom trees and animals around the base make it a pretty reliable seed in terms of survival. As for useful structures like a village, you will have to travel further. Though, if you want resources around your base, theres a long Mineshaft towards the mountains that you can dig for.

  • Seed code: 7901483865082602130
  • Digpoint for Mineshaft Coordinates: X: 103, Y: 72, Z: -213
  • MineshaftCoordinates: X: 103, Y: 36, Z: -213
  • Village Coordinates: X: -435, Y: 65, Z: -962

Highways And Route Numbering

When you expand your settlement, it will need systematic routes and highways for your visitors. Here are some methods, using a sign:

  • Color marks
  • Number system – Route 1, 2, 3 …
  • Letter system –
  • Classed system –
  • Combined system, using subway charts with color references and end-stations.

So if your visitor travels to your town, and not your city, they need to be able to easily orient themselves and find the correct line or route leading to that place.

Mountain Range Seed For Minecraft City

Who said that a Minecraft city or a base has to be horizontal. This seed provides the perfect place to create a vertical Minecraft city as it spawns you next to one of the tallest savanna mountains you can ever come across. The highest point on this mountain is well above the clouds at 231 block height.

As if that wasnt enough, its not an isolated mountain but a complete range of unique structures with waterfalls, floating rocks, cave holes, and more. Then, on the opposite side is a Pillager Outpost, located next to a ravine. Both are visible from your spawn itself. You can get the resources to fight these Pillagers from a nearby village or even a Desert Temple. But you will have to travel a few hundred blocks to get to either of them.

  • Seed code: 1262062079793042847
  • Highest Point Coordinates: X: 42, Y: 231, Z: 15
  • Pillager Outpost Coordinates: X: -157, Y: 68, Z: 53
  • Desert Pyramid Coordinates: X: -182, Y: 64, Z: 653
  • Village Coordinates: X: -702, Y: 64, Z: 265

How To Build A Hotel In Minecraft

This article was written by Jack Lloyd. Jack Lloyd is a Technology Writer and Editor for wikiHow. He has over two years of experience writing and editing technology-related articles. He is technology enthusiast and an English teacher. This article has been viewed 19,682 times.

This wikiHow teaches you how to build a basic hotel in Minecraft. While it is possible to perform this process in Survival mode, building a hotel in Creative mode will be a much less time-consuming process.

Other Types Of Settlement

Smaller than a village. A hamlet is simply a small group of houses with little or no commercial services. It may not even be named!

A very large town that doesn’t have official city status. It must have at least 30 houses and can have some city characteristics, as well as be part of a larger city, but doesn’t meet the requirements to become a city itself.

Many towns and cities merged into a one really large urban area. Just build at least two or three different towns and/or cities close enough to each other to be seen as one.

A massive city with plenty of skyscrapers and high-rise buildings. Usually a combination of boroughs.

Challenge yourself by thinking socioeconomically how do the resources available appear visually on your settlement? You don’t have to assess this beforehand. At least, for a visitor, it creates the illusion of a genuine place to be at. This comes naturally in Survival mode, but in creative, it may be a relevant question. Do you build your settlement out of stone, when there is no quarries, mountains, or access to a shaft nearby?

Ocean Monument In A Lake

If used properly, this Minecraft seed can reduce plenty of your construction time. You spawn near a village located next to an oceanic lake in this seed. Strangely, in that lake sits a full-size ocean monument with its guardians. If you somehow manage to drain out that small lake, this Ocean Monument is a readymade city or base waiting to be used.

Not to forget, the village is almost next to it, making it efficient to transport villagers and trade items. Theres also a Ruined Portal available next to the monument for you to use. However, no chests spawn near this Ruined Portal. Coming to the biomes, other than plains, we have a dessert, a forest, and a swamp nearby.

  • Seed code: 3697736769048093008
  • Village Coordinates: X: 137, Y: 74, Z: 163
  • Ocean Monument Coordinates: X: 63, Y: 61, Z: 17
  • Ruined PortalCoordinates: X: 52, Y: 64, Z: 59

How Do I Make A Town In Minecraft

How to build an Awesome Town in Minecraft 1.15 Vanilla

Like how do I make one and do the houses need to look really good?

You build a house. Then you build another house. Continue until there are enough houses. Nobody else cares what they look like.

Theres no rules, just make what you wanna make.

Search YouTube for “Building a village” or “Building a town”. You’ll find some tutorials by builders like fWhip, MysticalSausage, and Bdouble0100. Some initial pointers –

1 – Lay down some roads .

2 – Make some framework builds . That gives you an idea of your shape.

3 – Pick a block palette. . Never be afraid to use a block because its’ name isn’t a stone or wood type. That is, don’t think of them as blocks, but as textures and color. . The above tip comes from him many, many years ago.

4 – Use depth in your builds. Glass panes instead of windows, and maybe add some walls where the glass and full blocks connect. Stone type walls, for example, look good in corners where you might want to have a building look like its’ decaying .

A general type I see is, never let your build have a blank 3×3, or 5×5 “square”. Also, placing leaves around the place as ivy growth makes the build look active, too.

Don’t worry about style, either – you may want to have some parts of your town have very simple, and poor looking houses. Even stone with dark oak slabs for a roof works well, and the occasional cobble or granite to scuff up the walls. Stairs also give the effect of a wall crumbling.

Obsidian City In The End

Minecraft doesnt officially have an end. But when you get as far as defeating the Ender Dragon you get the sense that you should start thinking about making a new Minecraft world.

But stop! Why would you quit before you have made good use of The End? Its an often neglected but incredibly fertile bit of space to build something truly impressive, and I have some ideas if you dont know where to start.

How To Build Roads In Minecraft

There are many ways in which you can build a road, some are easy, but often look plain, while others take a bit of extra work, but they add to the overall atmosphere of your city, town or village.

Which road you build, and thus which materials you use, depends largely on the type of town youre building. A desert town wont usually have a cobblestone road and a large, underground dwarven city will likely not have a road made out of sand. But the position and type of your town isnt the only factor that determines what your road could/should look like. It also depends on the state of the road and on the building blocks used on the surrounding buildings.

Roads are an important part of any town or city and theyre often one of the first things that are built. They create a layout for a future city, but they always work as a navigational path to buildings, gardens and anything else youve built.

Your First Desert House

Many players like to build their Survival houses in grassy biomes, forests, and even marshes and cliffs. But Minecraft players notoriously shy away from building their bases in deserts.

The reason why is simple. It is a lot harder to make your house look good when it is yellow and surrounded by yellow. Between sand, sandstone, and sandstone bricks, there doesnt seem to be much of a difference visually.

But check out this idea for an awesome desert house from YouTuber Julious. It implements aspects youd expect to see in high-quality grassland builds, but adapted for the vast Minecraft deserts.

Try it out and let us know how you get on.

Curing A Zombie Villager

Although this method is technically faster, you do need to have a few specific items stored away beforehand. Plus, zombie villagers will rarely spawn so you need to be quite lucky for one to spawn so you can then cure it.

But, on the bright side, if you’re around your base and they spawn, you can simply lure them, no boats necessary. And, once cured, they will trade at a discount price to show you their gratitude for your efforts.

You can cure a zombie villager by crafting a Splash Potion of Weakness, throwing it on the villager and then feeding them a golden apple.

Anyone can get bored of Minecraft and not know what to build next. Thankfully, we have a list of 34 cool things to build in Minecraft to give you some inspiration.

There are so many things to build in Minecraft, such as houses, castles, fancy nether portals, bridges, or even statues. To make sure you dont get bored or give up on your idea, pick a project that you will have fun building. It is also important to pick a building idea that is a little challenging, but not too challenging.

If a building idea is too ambitious or difficult, you may find yourself giving up after a few hours and getting bored of the game. It is best to divide builds into several smaller projects, so you have a sense of accomplishment after you finish each part. For example, if you are building a castle in Minecraft, it would be a good idea to focus on building the walls first, then one tower, then more towers, then rooms connecting these towers, and so on.

Keep in mind that if you are looking for things to build in Minecraft survival, you will have to get all the materials yourself. For really big projects like a skyscraper, you will have to do a lot of work to get all the blocks you need. But if you are playing in creative mode, you dont have to worry about this and can build as big as you want!

Here is our list of 34 Cool Things to Build in Minecraft:

Create Houses For Villagers

In villages, the amount and type of structures spawn randomly when the world is created. The only buildings that spawn with beds are houses. Small houses are buildings with one bed, and medium houses are buildings with two beds. They often have different layouts, decorations, and different colored beds. You can mimic these houses when expanding your village, or come up with your own designs!

Buildings without beds correspond to villager professions. Each one contains a job site block that belongs to a spawned villager. Unemployed villagers will search for unclaimed job site blocks, so be sure to build those, too! When unemployed, villagers have no profession and cannot trade with players.
