Carrying Axolotls
- While they can be bred in any body of water under the right conditions, its much safer for players to do so while on the surface or in their own home base. Players can carry many axolotls at once provided they have the means to do so: a bucket filled with water, with one axolotl per bucket. These amphibious creatures cant last long without water, so prepare several buckets before searching for them. After right-clicking an axolotl with a water bucket, theyll automatically be added to the players inventory. Additionally, scooping an axolotl up with a bucket will prevent them from despawning, or disappearing when out of the player’s range, so players can name them with a name tag item and keep them as pets permanently!

How To Breed Sheep
Sheep are animals that spawn into the Overworld naturally like cows. While most sheep tend to have white wool, they can also spawn into the world with black, gray, light gray, brown, and pink wool. Sheep are valuable for their wool, which is needed to craft beds and decorative items. While string can be used to craft wool, this process is more tedious and requires hunting spiders at night or in cave systems. Like cows, sheep need to be fed wheat to breed.

They are most commonly seen wandering around aimlessly, though they do prefer lighted areas over darkness. Chickens can fall safely from high places by flapping their wings to slow down. They lay eggs about once every eight minutes, which can be broken to hatch chicks or used in recipes. Chickens are bred with wheat seeds, melon seeds, nether wart, or pumpkin seeds.
- Wheat seeds are found by breaking tall grass.
- Placing a melon in a crafting table produces melon seeds.
- Nether wart grows in the Nether around Nether fortresses.
- Placing a pumpkin in a crafting table gives pumpkin seeds.
- It does not matter which type of seeds you use to breed.
Farming chickens provides a renewable source of eggshowever, they disappear after five minutes and need to be gathered often. How To Tame An Axolotl In Minecraft
Axolotls can’t technically be tamed, but they’re not hostile towards players and can be scooped up into a bucket with ease. You can then carry them around with you or re-home them in a pond or lake nearer to your base.
You can also attach a lead to an axolotl if you don’t have a bucket handy, but it will die if it’s out of water for over five minutes, though not if it’s raining or there’s a thunderstorm.
Create Your Minecraft 117 Axolotl Army
So, what are these new Minecraft 1.17 creatures good for, besides being cute? The axolotl can actually be quite useful if you want to go fishing or take on an underwater fight. First, you need to capture at least two axolotl and start breeding them. Once you have a pretty big Minecraft axolotl army, you can put them all in buckets and take the buckets with you .
If you encounter an underwater enemy, just release the axolotl from their buckets. As long as its not a dolphin or a turtle, they will kill anything for you.

Villagers arent the only species that can be bred in Minecraft. You can also breed pets, tamed animals, such as horses, donkeys, cows, and even bees! Every animal species has different breeding requirements. So, to breed horses, you need to feed them a golden apple or a golden carrot. Cows, goats, and sheep are willing to breed after eating wheat. Pigs will eat carrots, potatoes, and beetroot same as villagers, though you only need one instead of 12.
Wolves will breed after eating most types of meat. Chickens want to be fed seeds, and cats raw fish. You can also make baby animals grow faster by feeding them certain types of food. How To Get A Blue Axolotl
As of Minecraft version 1.17.1, the only way you can get a Blue Axolotl without using commands is by breeding one.
There are five different colors of Axolotl: pink, brown, gold, cyan, and blue. The baby Axolotl will usually take after one of its parents in colour, but there is a 1 in 1,200 chance that it will instead become a rare Blue Axolotl.
The colour has no effect on the creature itself. All Axolotl are functionally and behaviourally identical even the ultra-rare blue variant has nothing which sets it apart from the other types besides its hue.
Of course, there are probably already dozens of texture packs which will change Axolotl colours to whatever the author likes.
