Landing And Takeoff Platforms
If playing with flying enabled you can create platforms at the same height on multiple buildings for easy flight between the upper levels of different locations. This works great in tree-forts, cities, and anywhere that multiple balconies are otherwise unconnected. Since 1.11.2, firework rockets have allowed the player to have a propelled flight with elytra, so these platforms should have water to slow the impact due to how fast players can fly, if these are meant for elytra.
Add Underground Floors To Your Shelter
Using this gives you a chance to find resources, and in the case of invasion by mobs, it will always provide a safer spot. Underground floors are also useful for making mob grinders or animal farms. If you’re really good, add a whole back up shelter under ground. If you like to be safe, add multiple bunkers, but hide a super safe and secret bunker. You could also make a part of the floor out of glass in the same spot on each floor, so you can see all the way down, and it looks nice if you do it right.

Minecraft Base Build Preparations
As you can see this is a pretty big build project, we are going to need a lot of materials. Fortunately, the guys that made this video have included a required items list:
In addition to the video tutorial, you can also grab the template that can be downloaded as an MC world directly from the original Minecraft survival base tutorial.
Most importantly, you will need a positive attitude before we start this monstrous base. Upon first inspection, the template can look daunting. There is colored wool everywhere, but furthermore, it is only constructed from a single corner repeated four times which is very simple. As such you are really only learning to build a quarter of this base, rather than the whole thing.
Zero Loss Sugarcane Farm
When it comes to other valuable crops, sugar cane is a must-have. Since paper is used in so many ways to make maps, enchanted books and eventually book shelves for an enchantment setup, sugar cane is insanely valuable and useful early on in the game.
With observer blocks, it’s now possible to make a pretty simple sugar cane farm. Every time the crop grows past a certain point, pistons will cut the crop, and a stream of water or a mine cart underneath will transport it to a hopper and eventually to a chest. There’s a few different designs, but Vidargavia’s one works wonders.

To kick off the list is Zaypixel‘s Autumn cabin, a home complete with a thatched roof, cushy fireplace, and plenty of pumpkins. This cabin is on the snug side and I love the brick accents throughout the exterior of the cabin. Zaypixel’s tutorial is super easy to follow and together with its soft piano score makes for a relaxing watch even if you’re not planning on building.

It’s The Early Game Relax
The most important thing above all else is to remember that you are in the early game. There will be plenty of mistakes that happen, and early on the big thing to focus on is learning.
Educate yourself on how the world of Minecraft works, the logic to crafting, how to build certain structures, and knowing the best way to navigate survival. Death is a bummer, but at the early stages it can be extremely beneficial and a key learning moment.
Make Another Base In A New Location
Having more than one base helps if you need to travel farther to get resources. A base next to your spawn point is helpful if you built your main base far away and you died at night. A base in a desert can provide sand, and a base in a tundra can provide snow. A base hovering in the sky can provide entertainment, especially if mobs spawn on the edge of it. A great idea is to connect them with nether portals that have a secure hallway in the nether.

Add A Fountain To Your Town
It’s hard to come by things that don’t make sense in Minecraft. This water fountain design makes a whole lot of it. Originally designed by YouTube user Minecraft Sekai, and showcased in this video, this beautiful water fountain fits perfectly within most settlement-oriented builds, especially large scale towns.
Since build projects of this stance can prove exhaustingly long, building something completely out of stone and water is a nice change of pace from having to gather many different types of resources.
Building: Build A Mineshaft
Building a mineshaft is critical to the acquisition of iron ore, diamonds, redstone, and much more. Sure you can just dig down and randomly try and find resources, but a well-crafted mineshaft can make things easier on you, especially as you dig more.
Not only can you keep track of the areas in which you’ve depleted pockets of resources, but with the use of well-placed torches, it can be a safe environment in which to explore and discover new parts of Minecraft you previously didn’t know or understand fully.

Asian Pagoda Minecraft House
An Asian themed Minecraft home can be challenging to build because of the angles and curves involved. You might find it helpful to install an Asian decorations mod to help you build with this style.
While this pagoda has many floors, you can also start with an easier one that is just a couple stories tall. Also consider adding a bit more color variety into the building, like shades of red or yellow, to make the building stand out a bit more.

Iron Tools Armour And Weapons
Iron is a somewhat common material that is extremely durable. You can make armor, weapons, and tools from it that will last a while. Yes, this is technically more than one thing- but the point stands: iron is invaluable. You can find it by digging down deep enough. The material is especially abundant in mine shafts and around ravines.
Ironarmour should be made as soon as possible. Its armor rating is good enough to get you far in the game it can even stand up to enemies in the Nether. Iron armor will last until youre able to get diamond armor, which is the top tier armor that you can get. Its a good idea to build a weapon as well. An iron sword is an excellent choice, as is a shield.
