Getting To The Sea Bottom

How to get water in minecraft

In relatively shallow waters you can just swim down and place “bubble blocks” to create a place to stand. From that you can place blocks out into the water to make walls and then a ceiling, then use a method of clearing water to finish the room.

The “lily pad” method creates a 3×3 column to the bottom by dropping sand off the four edges of a lily pad from a boat on the surface. Alternatively, you can place a block onto the lily pad to make it easier to place the sand. Once you have an enclosed 1 block column of water you fill the central block with more sand, then work your way down from the top digging out the central column of sand and replace at least one of the sides with a non-falling block, like dirt or wool, and place ladder blocks on the non-falling block. When you reach the bottom you can dig out through the solid wall and place a door to keep the water out. Or you can dig down further into the seabed and make your base entirely below water.

A relatively risk-free method of getting down to the sea bottom is to dig down from a nearby landmass and then dig out horizontally until you are at the desired coordinates, based on previously rowing a boat out to your planned base location to note the coordinates.

Is There A Way To Get Water Into The Nether

Just exploring the nether, found my first nether fortress, and lots of netherwart. Wanting to start brewing potions in the nether fortress, but getting a source of water is problematic. Is there a way to get water into the nether in vanilla minecraft ? I’d like an unlimited water source if possible.

  • I don´t really know but have you jsut tried carrying it in buckets through the portal? ^^ DiskillaDec 25 ’11 at 4:41
  • Yes, but when I drop it on the ground it just fizzles. JohnDec 25 ’11 at 4:48
  • It’s much more reasonable to dig up some soulsand, pick the nether wart and start farming it at your base, on the surface. SF.Apr 23 at 6:44
  • In Bedrock: Apparently there’s a bug that allows Water to generate in the Nether, and Netherrack is replaced by stone

The easiest way is to build a portal nearby, travel to the normal world, fill your glass vials with water there and bring those back to the Nether. You can fill as many vials as you can fit in your inventory and it won’t take much time out of your brewing schedule.

You could also keep water in the Nether in a cauldron, but as that only holds 3 vials worth, it’s slower than simply bringing the water to the Nether in vials.

  • 2If you fill your inventory with buckets of water, on the other hand, you can carry 3xInventorySize vials worth of water. Toss them all in a chest and refill your cauldron while each set of water vials is turning into a base potion.

How Do You Create Infinite Amounts Of Water In Minecraft

Players can create infinite amounts of water by digging three blocks in a line and placing two buckets of water in the corners. This will not work with lava. Water is considered a deadly block because players can drown in it if they run out of air . If a player is between water and a Slab, a player will constantly keep jumping.

While there is no infinite source of water in the Nether, Minecraft players can use some makeshift methods to bring water into the Nether. Players can fill a Cauldron with water and bring it into the Nether.

However, the Cauldron can hold water worth only three glass bottles. So we recommend players make a portal connecting the Nether and the normal world. Once that is done, players can fill glass bottles with water and bring them into the Nether.

Filling glass bottles and bringing them into the Nether is the most optimal way that we can think of. There were other methods like using a water bucket, ice blocks, and other things to obtain water in the Nether. However, most of them are either patched or are just not efficient.

Once players have their list of ingredients and Brewing Station all ready, they will need to put the potion together. First, use the remaining Blaze Rod to make Blaze Powder. Then head to the Brewing Station, and follow these directions in this order:

  • Open Brewing Station Menu in Minecraft.
  • Add the Blaze Powder to the left-hand box. This will activate the Brewing Station and get everything bubbling.
  • Add a Water Bottle to one of the three boxes at the bottom of the Brewing Station Menu .
  • Add the Nether Wart to the top box, then wait for brewing to complete. Players will now have an Awkward Potion.
  • Put the Puffer Fish in the top box, then wait for brewing to complete. The Awkward Potion will now be a Potion of Water Breathing.
  • Optional: Add a Redstone at this stage and get a Potion of Water Breathing that lasts longer.

Now players will be able to swim freely, without worrying about drowning or coming to the surface to breathe. The effect of the Potion is only temporary, but will give players some time to discover what lies beneath the sea, like underwater temples, underwater mining, and even building an underwater Minecraft city if players get bored enough.

Minecraft is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
