Minecraft 119 New Content: New Biomes And The Warden

New Minecraft Update! – Minecraft Hardcore #21

In an official announcement from Mojang, we learned a little bit about what to expect from the Minecraft 1.19 update before it officially released. For starters, there are two new Overworld biomes called the Deep Dark and Mangrove Swamp.

As the name implies, the Deep Dark can be found in an underground area below the surface. In the Deep Dark, youll be able to find new items like sculk blocks. But watch out while youre exploring, because you might run into a new mob called the Shrieker. Youll have four shrieks to escape it, or youll come face to face with The Warden.

The other new biome in the Minecraft 1.19 The Wild update is Mangrove Swamp. This is a much more calming biome compared to the Deep Dark and is full of lots of foliage and the new mangrove trees. These massive trees will introduce a new type of wood to Minecraft as well as the mud block. Naturally, youll also be able to craft a mud block with dirt and water.

In addition to the new biomes, The Wilds update also introduces three new mobs. Perhaps the biggest is the highly anticipated Warden, which is a challenge unlike any have ever seen, according to Mojang. The Warden resides in the Deep Dark biome and you can only escape it by using your stealth skills.

The latest addition brings new changes, quality of life improvements, and fixes with the Minecraft: Bedrock Edition update 1.19.20, including additional stability fixes in the patch notes.

Previously, a big Minecraft: Bedrock Edition, 1.19.1 update, adding new features like the mangrove swamp biome to the game and various tweaks. But unfortunately, it created some unforeseen issues for some. The Minecraft: Bedrock Edition 1.19.20 update looks to resolve issues that players had been experiencing after the 1.19.1 update. Lets hope the Minecraft: Bedrock Edition 1.19.20 update manages to fix many of these issues for players. Check out the full Minecraft: Bedrock Edition patch notes for 1.19.20 below.

Minecraft 120 Will Be Focused On Self

The next big Minecraft update, which brings the game up to version 1.20, doesnt have a name or a date attached to it yet and thats on purpose. At Minecraft Live, the team spoke about keeping expectations in check by not revealing the full plan or name until closer to launch . Instead, details will gradually come out until then, but the overall goal for the update is to focus on self-expression, representation, and storytelling. For now, we know at least a few things, including additions like decorative hanging signs, bookshelves you can put actual books on, the ability to craft with bamboo , and new camels you can ride with a friend. No word on whether they spit.

Minecraft Update Version 2.10 For PS4 Full Patch Notes

Unfortunately, at this time there isn’t a known release date for the next large content update though we do know when we’ll know more about it.

During the Minecraft Now live stream in August, some of the game’s developers revealed that the next Minecraft Live event will happen on Oct. 15. Mojang usually reveals the details for upcoming updates during the Minecraft Live events, meaning that we should know before the end of the year what’s to come in Minecraft‘s next content update.

While we don’t know much about the update or when we can expect it to hit the game, it’s safe to say you probably won’t see the 1.20 update come to Minecraftbefore the end of 2022. Very rarely does Mojang release these big updates more than once a year, and since the Wild Update came out June 2022, it’s not likely 1.20 will be seen before next year.

    Beware of the Warden!

Thehighly anticipated Minecraft 1.19 update, predominantly known as ‘The Wild Update’, is finally set to release for all supported platforms later this week.

Java players have already had the chance to experience some of the new features coming in Minecraft’s 1.19 update, via numerous snapshots and pre-releases. But, whether you’re on the Bedrock or Java version of Minecraft, the final version is set to be released on Tuesday, June 7th, 2022.

The update will include a bunch of new blocks, biomes, mobs, items, and more. But, most importantly, players need to beware of the Warden, the first fully blind mob in Minecraft that detects players based on movements, vibrations, and smell. The Warden can be found in the newest underground biome known as the ‘Deep Dark’.

    Speculated Features Of Minecraft 120

Leaving the new features aside, the team of Minecraft also has some pending features in the game. So, Minecraft 1.20 can also act as a gap filler update to let developers plan for the future while fixing the existing issues. Some of these features might include:

Fletching Table, New Village, & More

    • Villages: All major Minecraft biomes are supposed to have their own unique villages. But the meadow biome spawns a copy of the plains biome. Similarly, the game has villagers for swamp and biomes, but no villages spawn in either of them. So, Minecraft 1.20 can bring the missing villages to the game.
    • Illusioner & Giant Zombie: Both of these mobs are currently in the game, but they dont spawn naturally. Their implementation can make the games hostile mobs more interesting.
    • Fletching Table: This block is in the game and spawns naturally. But other than giving jobs to Minecraft villagers, it does nothing. Hopefully, developers might give it some functionality soon.

    Editor Mode

Recently discovered by Twitter user SnokeyStack through data mining of a new Minecraft Preview version, we might be getting a new game mode called editor mode. This mode, supposedly, adds powerful world editing tools to the game, which are similar to some popular world-building mods.

What New Blocks Are Getting Added In Minecraft 120

So far, the new blocks for Minecraft 1.20 we’ve seen are mostly centered around personalizing builds and telling stories through new contraptions. There’s the new bamboo wood type, the functional chiseled bookshelf, and hanging signs too.

    • Hanging signs: they’ll come in wall, ceiling, and narrow hanging varieties.
    • Bamboo wood: a full set of wood blocks made from bamboo including doors, stairs, trapdoors, and planks.
    • Raft: the bamboo version of a boat is actually a flat raft you can ride on.
    • Bamboo mosaic: A new decorative block type just for bamboo.
    • Chiseled bookshelf: A functional bookshelf that you can place up to six books on.

The chiseled bookshelf is particularly neat thanks to its redstone signal capability. It will give off a redstone signal based on how many books it currently holds, which Mojang suggests could power some very cool secret doors. The shelf doesn’t have an inventory UI, Mojang says. That likely means you’ll place books on the shelf by clicking on it with a book in hand or taking a book by pointing with your reticle and clicking with an empty hand.

Minecraft 120 Update Release Date Speculation And New Features

New Minecraft Update Is Deep | GameSpot News

The as-yet-unnamed Minecraft 1.20 is coming in 2023, celebrating self-expression, representation, and making “Minecraft Minecraftier”

The upcoming Minecraft 1.20 update was announced during Minecraft Live on October 15, 2022, and while the update remains unnamed at this point, Mojang Studios has still revealed some of the new and exciting features we can expect in the survival game in 2023. Based around representation and creativity, we know the next update will include new Minecraft skins, and a new mob in the form of the Minecraft camel as well as the Sniffer.

The Minecraft 1.20 update announcement bucked the trend from previous years update announcements. Still revealed during Minecraft Live, we were told fewer details than in past years, due in some part to previously announced mechanics and additions never making it to the game, like fireflies, resulting in a backlash from fans. To avoid that happening again, Mojang has this year only confirmed features that are almost ready to go. On the plus side, this means well be able to playtest these features much sooner than in previous years, with new snapshots coming within just days of the Minecraft Live broadcast.

Is There A New Biome In Minecraft 120

Unfortunately no, it doesn’t seem likely, Mojang said during a Q& A with press about update 1.20. That said, Mojang has made it clear that it hasn’t announced the full feature list for the update yet, so it may still be holding back a biome surprise. Best to take Mojang at its word and not get our hopes up just yet but, well, anything’s possible.

The last major Minecraft update to not include any new biomes was Minecraft 1.15, Buzzy Bees, in 2019. That update put a big focus on the bee mob and all its related items like honey blocks and bee nests. If version 1.20 also doesn’t include a new biome, we can probably expect a similar focus on other areas instead.

    Minecraft 119 The Wild Features

Here’s all the latest news and details on The Wild update including the 1.19 release date, new biomes, Minecraft mobs, features, and more

So you want to know about the Minecraft 1.19, The Wild update? First announced in October 2021, The Wild update is a major addition to the Java edition of the beloved sandbox game and it is now live.

The update includes a bunch of new features, from new biomes such as the Deep Dark and Mangrove swamp, new Minecraft mobs like The Warden and the allay mob, which won the Minecraft mob vote in 2021. The Minecraft 1.19 The Wild update also features new world generation such as ancient cities that spawn in the Deep Dark an area that only spawns underground. The Deep Dark also features new items like echo shards and disc fragments.

You can make clay or mud brinks thanks to the new Mud block, which you craft by mixing soil with water. There’s also a new enchantment, and Frogs will debut during this update. Heres everything we know about the Minecraft 1.19 release date, as well as a summary of the key features.

There Will Be A Mob Vote

Another exciting feature of the Live event, the mob vote, was revealed in the trailer video. For many years, Mojang has been giving the community some control over which feature gets added to the next update via the mob vote. This includes mobs, biomes, and more.

It has been confirmed that Mojang will be bringing back the mob vote system where players can choose which mob gets added to the game with the Minecraft 1.20 update.

However, unlike every previous mob vote, this vote will not be conducted on Twitter. This time, Mojang is innovating and adding a way to vote for the mob from inside the game itself. Players will be able to enter a special multiplayer area where they will be able to vote for the new mob.

Additionally, Mojang will also be updating the official game launcher to feature the mob vote there as well. This way, only those who actually own and play the game will be able to vote for the new mobs.

    Chiseled Bookshelves In Minecraft

A new bookshelf type will be added with the next Minecraft update. This block is called chiseled bookshelves and is both fully interactable and customizable.

Players can place one to six books in each chiseled bookshelf block and watch as the bookshelf changes its appearance. Taking books off the shelf will also affect how it looks.

Players can store any kind of book within the chiseled bookshelves. This includes regular books, enchanted books, and books with quills.

Chiseled bookshelves are also compatible with redstone. This allows players to create unique build features like hidden bookshelf doors or even use redstone to figure out which book was the last one that they interacted with.

This new block type also has a few unique wood patterns surrounding the bookshelf itself, which gives it further function beyond being an interactable bookshelf. The developers showcased an example of how the unique designs around the chiseled bookshelf could be used to create floor and wall patterns during the Minecraft Live 2022 event as can be seen above.

    Minecraft 120 Release Date

Speaking of the specific release date, it will most likely be in January 2023. Historically, the developers have released updates in January several times before. Moreover, the previous 1.19 version was released in June of 2022, and six months should be enough to prep the next update.

Of course, keep in mind that these are only our assumptions. Mojang might prepare a huge update and release it in the late spring or summer – nobody knows for sure.

Get Ready For The Next Major Minecraft 120 Update

With that, you now know every possible feature that might come with the Minecraft 1.20 update. And if we end up getting even half of the speculated features, Minecraft 1.20 will be one of the best updates to reach the game. But that mystery will only be solved later this year in November or December. For now, if you want to make the most of the Wild Update, our list of best Minecraft 1.19 seeds can definitely help you out. We even have a dedicated list of the best Ancient City seeds in Minecraft 1.19 to help you locate and defeat the Warden. New Default Skins In Minecraft

Seven new skins will join Steve and Alex in the pool of default skins that players can select from when playing Minecraft. These new characters may look familiar as they appeared numerous times throughout the promotional material for Minecrafts Wild Update.

During the segment of the Minecraft Live 2022 event where they discussed this addition, the developers shared that it is an important stride for them in ensuring that all who play feel included and welcome. They also said that this is only one step forward in reaching that goal.

All of the default Minecraft characters are, from left to right as pictured above, Sunny, Kai, Makena, Steve, Alex, Zuri, Efe, Ari, and Noor. Currently, not much is known about them beyond their names but Mojang said that players can expect to learn more about the seven new characters through future promotional material.

Although the 1.20 update wont be out until 2023, the seven default skins already arrived with the first official snapshot for the future update. Players can thus choose to play as any of these new characters immediately.
