Minecraft 1171 Update Expected Release Date And Time
On June 8th, Mojang released the first part of Minecraft Caves and Cliffs update. Even though developers have not added any new biomes, the update is still pretty huge.
The Minecraft 1.17 update introduced over 100 new blocks and items, much more than the nether update of last year. The first phase of Caves and Cliffs also added cute axolotls, glow axolotls, bleating goats, magical amethyst shards, and more. With so much new content, it is expected that some bugs will slip in.
After every major update, Mojang releases a minor update to fix bugs added in that update. The 1.17.1 update is ready to fix the bugs added in the 1.17 update.
Minecraft 117 Update Caves And Cliffs Part 1 Features
Goats, axolotl friends, and plenty of new blocks
Looking forward to the release of Minecraft update 1.17? For years, Minecraft players have been asking for a big update to the rather bland underground areas you may know them as caves. Theyve not really changed all that much since vanilla Minecraft launched over a decade ago, while new biomes have been added constantly to the game. So it was hugely exciting to get confirmation of the Minecraft Caves & Cliffs update.
While the cliffs do get new snow effects, powder snow blocks, and goats, the really fascinating stuff thats being added is all found beneath the surface. All youll need to do to find these new areas is tunnel downwards. Three new underground biomes were discussed during this years Minecraft Live presentation, filled with new plants to harvest, new materials to gather, and new Minecraft mobs to encounter.
Yes, Minecraft Caves & Cliffs does add a terrifying-sounding monster, but it also gives players not one, but two potential best friend mobs that can help them take down pesky enemies. Here is everything you can look forward to when Minecraft 1.17 goes live.
Caves & Cliffs: Part I Has A Release Date
Ramming into a device near you on June 8
Aww, its a little goat! Come here, buddy! I have a treat for y-OOF!;
As I tumbled down the mountain, I pondered all the choices that led to installing the Caves & Cliffs snapshot. My act of sheer folly as I approached the goat and extended the proverbial olive branch a bundle of hay. All my belongings now strewn at the base of the mountain. But there is time to make this right because;the Caves & Cliffs Update: Part I is coming out on June 8!;And in the meantime, I will be officially petitioning the Vanilla team to remove goats from it.;
Every day, this creature wakes up and chooses headbutts.
The update will be available for Minecraft: Bedrock Edition on;Xbox Series X,;Xbox Series S,;Xbox One,;PlayStation 5,;PlayStation 4,;Nintendo Switch,;iOS,;Android, and;Windows 10; as well as Java Edition on;Windows,;macOS, and;Linux. Clearly, nobody is safe from those dreaded creatures. The good news is that the update also includes the lovely and totally-harmless-unless-youre-a-drowned axolotls! Unfortunately, theyre confined to either water or a bucket, so they wont be able to join my anti-goat crusade.;
But thats not all the once Minecraft Earth-exclusive mob, the glow squid, will also be gracing our oceans! While I was Team Mooshroom , Im just glad this one wont be rewarding my kindness with a brutal shove. Plus, its so pretty it might just motivate me to build that huge aquarium Ive always wanted.;

Minecraft: Mojang Teases The New Nether Update
Revealing more on whats coming this week, a message from Mojang reveals: The good news is that the update also includes the lovely and totally-harmless-unless-youre-a-drowned axolotls!
Unfortunately, theyre confined to either water or a bucket, so they wont be able to join my anti-goat crusade.
But thats not all the once Minecraft Earth-exclusive mob, the glow squid, will also be gracing our oceans!
While I was Team Mooshroom , Im just glad this one wont be rewarding my kindness with a brutal shove. Plus, its so pretty it might just motivate me to build that huge aquarium Ive always wanted.
And what would a Minecraft update be without blocks? This round, theres plenty of them. Some of them will just pop up in the world, while others might be a bit trickier to discover.
Adding: In the real world, there are many different kinds of copper ore from cuprite, which contains 88% copper, to chalcopyrite, which is just 35% copper. Humans have been mining copper for almost ten thousand years, with the earliest evidence of excavation found in locations in modern-day Turkey and Iraq.
Unlike other ores, like iron, the block itself wont drop when you mine it . Instead, youll get a few chunks of raw copper, each of which can be smelted into a copper ingot.
Thats nice, because you get a little more copper per ore block you find than you would with iron. Dont say we dont do anything nice for you. You can also craft the raw copper into raw copper blocks.
What Is New In The Update
Minecraft says that the update is the most ambitious one it has ever developed.
The first part of the Caves & Cliffs update comes with a number of new features.
A post on the Minecraft website states: In the first part of the upcoming Caves & Cliffs update, Minecraft is getting a lot of exciting new underground features.
One of those is the amethyst geode an uncommon geological formation that contains a new resource amethyst shards.
Minecraft also said: The first part of the Caves & Cliffs Update will focus on some cute and fun mobs, cool items, and new blocks such as: Goat, Axolotl, Crystals + Spyglass + Geodes + Tinted Glass, Copper + Lightning Rod, Glow Squid + Glow Ink, Powder Snow, Lush Cave Blocks, Dripstone Cave Blocks, Deepslate + Ore Variants, Glow Lichen, and Multiplayer Sleeping Rule .
Copper is the first new ore to be added to Minecraft since 2013, when it introduced the addition of Nether Quartz ore in the Redstone update.
The ore comes in two forms – a regular one found in stone, and a rarer version found in deepslate, close to the bottom of the world.
If youre hoping to find some Copper ore, Minecraft advises: Grab a pick and go mining – but dont dig too deep.
Veins of copper ore are most commonly found at medium depths, not too close to the surface, but not too far down either. And dont worry – you wont need fancy tools to mine it. A stone pickaxe will do just fine.

Caves & Cliffs Release Date
Update 1.17 is already confirmed, but we dont have a release date yet.
Given the time between the announcement and launch for the Nether update, fans shouldnt expect it to come out anytime soon.
Summer 2021 is the window Mojang cited at this time, but that could vary with the impact of COVID-19 during winter.
Minecraft 117 Features: Here’s What’s Included In Caves & Cliffs Part 1
Part 1 of the Caves & Cliffs update launched on June 8. While it’s technically the smaller of the two updates, it adds loads of new blocks, animals, plants, and craftable items. But as some of these things are only supposed to spawn in the new biomes, you may be confused about what you can expect to see when you fire up your updated version of Minecraft.
It’s worth noting that some blocks or creatures specifically tied to the upcoming biomes might not spawn naturally quite yet. It does appear that there are other ways to obtain them, however, such as via Creative mode or from a lucky find in a chest or from a Wandering Trader.

Minecraft Caves & Cliffs Release Date And Time
The entire Caves & Cliffs Update does not have a definitive release date yet. Mojang Studios still has a lot of work ahead of them to develop, test, and polish the ludicrous number of features and changes coming in the Caves & Cliffs Update. Mojang Studios also needs to take into consideration the wellbeing of its employees, and the overall landscape in the video game industry.
That being said, Part I of the Caves & Cliffs Update is launching for Minecraft: Bedrock Edition and Java Edition on , with a sizeable number of additions, including three new mobs and up to 91 new blocks and items. While Mojang hasn’t detailed a formal launch time for the Caves and Cliffs update, we’re expecting availability around 10AM ET / 7AM PT / 3PM BST / 4PM CEST, based on past releases.
This is the smaller half of the massive Caves & Cliffs Update, with the second half needing a ton of additional development time. Part II of the Caves & Cliffs Update does not have a release date yet, but it does have a release window of Winter 2021.
As we get closer to the launch of the Caves & Cliffs Update, we’ll be able to make more educated guesses. Mojang Studios will also certainly release additional information over time. Until then, Mojang Studios will slowly release and test features through Minecraft: Bedrock Edition betas and Minecraft: Java Edition snapshots.

What Time Does Minecraft Caves & Cliffs Start Release Date For 117 Update
Fans will be able to play Minecraft Caves and Cliffs Part 1, which will be part of Minecraft update 1.17, on June 8.
Unlike other games where updates are released at a different time depending on the region, everyone will be able to play Minecraft Caves and Cliffs Part 1 on June 8.
However, there’s no specific time as yet for when the update will be released across all platforms. Based on previous updates we suspect that it could arrive at around 3pm BST. This is when past updates have released, but who’s to say Mojang might roll it out much later in the day to suit all timezones.
Knowing that Minecraft 1.17 will come with the first part of Caves and Cliffs is a pretty big deal for fans, though many of us were a bit surprised to know that the second part will be coming later.
Players wont be able to get their hands on Minecraft 1.18, which will come with Caves and Cliffs Part 2, till much later this year closer to October or December so heres hoping the first part has a ton of updates.
Minecraft is now available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
Bundle: New Backpack Item
Finally, a lovely new quality of life feature: Minecraft 1.18 is bringing us backpacks! Except they’re not called backpacks, they’re called Bundles, and they work in a different way than you’d expect.
You can make a Bundle out of 2 String and 6 Rabbit Hide, and clicking on one in your inventory opens up a miniature secondary inventory space of 6 slots. However: the Bundle doesn’t increase the total amount you can hold in the slot: it simply allows you to hold different kinds of items in a single slot.
For example: you’ll be able to hold 32 Dirt and 32 Stone in a Bundle, but you can’t hold 64 Dirt and 64 Stone in the Bundle because you’re still constrained by the single slot’s stack limit . So it’s not as useful as the Backpacks created by various Minecraft mods, but you can also understand why Mojang wouldn’t want to give us effectively limitless storage space inside our inventories.
That’s a wrap on the main features and details of Minecraft’s upcoming 1.18 update. Until then, the best way to change up the look of your world and inject that sense of discovery back into the game is to install one of the best Minecraft texture packs. Or, if you want an entirely different experience from your regular singleplayer world, why not check out one of the many great Minecraft servers available right now?
