The First Major Update For The Game In A While
Posted By Landon Wright | On 18th, Jun. 2020
When it comes down to games that just keep going and going, you have to give Minecraft its due. It came out years ago out of nowhere, and quickly grew to being one of the most popular games of all time. As youd expect, it also gets pretty frequent updates, and next week is time for another.
As announced on the official website, a new update is planned for The Nether. That region has always been part of the game, but its getting a revamp here. Netherite ingot, a new fireproof material, will be able to be mined there now, and weapons, armors and items made from it will be stronger than diamond. Alongside that, there will be new enemies, the Piglins and Hoglins, as well as new target blocks that let you activate Redstone switches from a distance. You can read full details through here.
Minecrafts Nether update will come on June 23rd and will go live for both the Bedrock Edition, which includes all current gen systems and PC, and the Java Edition.
Is Minecraft Nether Update Coming To Ps4
Michael Harradence / June 23, 2020
Is Minecraft Nether Update coming to PS4? The much-anticipated Nether update for the worlds best-selling video game entered beta form for PC and Xbox One back in March, so naturally, folk are wondering about a Minecraft Nether PS4 Update release.
Is it on the cards? Weve done some digging and heres what weve found out.
Minecraft 119 Deep Dark Biome And Wardens
After originally being planned for the 1.18 update, Minecrafts dangerous Warden mob has been delayed to the Wild Update in 2022. The Deep Dark biome wed seen previously has been expanded further also. Mojang did a serious dive into the Deep Dark biome this year and its looking much scarier than before.
What makes the Deep Dark so much spookier now is the Skulk Shrieker blocks which will emit a screech when activated and put a darkness effect on the nearby area. Youll need to get away from that Skulk Shrieker quickly and quietly because that loud noise will likely attract a Warden.
As wed already seen, the Warden mobs are very, very dangerous and will hunt down players by sound. The Shriekers pulsing darkness effect makes the stomping of the giant Warden sound like something out of a horror game. In the new video of the Warden we actually see one tunnel out of the ground through some skulk blocks, which is extremely frightening.
Also new in the Deep Dark are the big ancient city structures that you can find down in the dark. Mojang has hinted that theres a structure at the center of every ancient city that may have its own secrets. Youll also want to pay attention to the Skulk Catalysts. When an enemy dies near one, it will convert nearby blocks on the ground to Skulk Blocks, which you can mine to gather experience.

Bastion Remnants And Ruined Portals
Two brand new structures in the game are Bastion Remnants and Ruined Portals. The former are enormous, castle-like remains found in the Nether, in all biomes except for Basalt Deltas. Bastion Remnants have treasure rooms which will have Magma Cube spawners within and are guarded by Piglin Brutes.
Ruined Portals on the other hand can spawn in either the Nether or the Overworld, and are the main source of Crying Obsidian, mentioned above. You can also get plenty of other loot and there’s a small chance that it generates as a towering Giant Ruined Portal.

What Is The Flames Of The Nether Dlc For Minecraft Dungeons
Minecraft Dungeons is built on a solid foundation of fantastic and rewarding gameplay, but it was undeniably light on launch content. Fortunately, Mojang Studios and Double Eleven have been hard at work fixing this weakness with post-launch updates and expansions. Three expansions were previously released for Minecraft Dungeons including and Creeping Winter as part of Minecraft Dungeons: Hero Edition, and the Howling Peaks DLC, which is the first of four expansions included with the Minecraft Dungeons Season Pass.
Every expansion so far has also launched a free update, which has varied in importance and size with each DLC.
That brings us to the latest DLC: Flames of the Nether. Launched alongside the game’s largest free update yet, Flames of the Nether concludes months of speculation that began right after Minecraft Dungeons initially launched by bringing the ARPG to the Nether from Minecraft.
Hostile jungles and forever-winter lands have been just a taste of what’s to come! Here’s a sneak-peek of some of the amazing content we’re bringing to Dungeons next year â don’t worry if it doesn’t look sparkly and perfect just yet, we’ve still got work to do.

Minecraft Announces Nether Update Release Date
Mojang Studios today announced that the Nether Update, the next giant upgrade for the popular video game Minecraft, will release next week on Tuesday, June 23rd. From the tone of Mojang Studios‘ announcement, it sounds like it will launch for practically every platform on which the game is available that same day, including PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, and so on.
The Nether Update includes a bunch of new changes, including a new material for the game that’s stronger than Diamond, Netherite. “With the Nether update, we felt that we wanted to create a long-term goal for the players, and reward them for spending time in the Nether,” Jens Bergensten, Chief Creative Officer of Mojang Studios, said back in May. “We also felt that this was a chance to introduce a brand new material to work with and that it was the perfect time to do so.”
The other major addition for the Nether Update is Piglins, a new faction in the Nether. “The reason why we added Piglins was because we wanted to bring more life to the Nether, and also to add a bit of culture and humor,” Minecraft developer Henrik Kniberg said in an article posted earlier today. “As a new player going into the Nether, the Piglins probably kick your butt if you’re not careful!”
Grab your most fireproof calendar, and start frantically circling June 23rd: the Nether Update starts rolling out on both Bedrock and Java Why, this Tuesday!
Minecraft Frogs Tadpoles And Fireflies
Finally for Minecraft The Wild update, there are several new animals to meet on your adventures. Minecraft Frogs leap around near water, happily bouncing about the place and occasionally falling off their lily pad while they try to eat any Fireflies hovering overhead. Unlike other animals that grow up from smaller versions of themselves, these Frogs actually develop from Tadpoles that swim around in water, which can be caught in a bucket and taken to different areas.
There are three variants of Frog that can develop in Minecraft 1.19, based on the temperature of the biome in which they grow up. Alongside the regular Frogs, a cold biome will produce Snowy Frogs while a hot biome will yield Tropical Frogs. The developers have promised that each of these variants will provide something unique to players, though they are still in development so exactly what hasn’t been decided yet.

What Is The Minecraft Nether Update
Heres the full lowdown on the Nether update from Microsoft:
Mining for gold? Be careful, because the Piglins are watching! These half-pig, half-who-knows-what beasts may attack on sight or barter with you depending on whether you impress them. Think of them as the popular kids of the Nether, but with swords instead of iPhones.
Did you hear that? No, its not a Zombified Piglin, its my stomach. Forgetting to pack your lunch in the Nether can be a fatal mistake, but thats about to change as long as youre tough enough to take on a Hoglin. As cruel fate has it, these creatures are both highly aggressive and the main source of food in the Nether. Not only do their tusks look intimidating, but they can also push you around quite a bit. It may sound relatively harmless, but remember: youre most likely surrounded by lava.
Want a change in scenery? No need to leave the Nether, because now you can explore the Soulsand Valleys, and the Crimson and Warped Forests. Each of these biomes comes with new blocks, plants, fungi, and items that you can discover and experiment with to your hearts desire.
Need an upgrade to survive in this significantly more hostile environment? Check out Netherite the newest and toughest material in Minecraft. Youre gonna lava it! Again, sorry. Deck yourself in Netherite armor, grab a matching sword, and youll be A-okay. Maybe.
