Invite Friends: Find Your Public Ip Address

How To Make A Minecraft Bedrock Server

To join any dedicated Minecraft Bedrock server, you only need the hosts public IP address. Fortunately, because of port forwarding, the public IP address wont reveal any of your private information. You can find the same by opening Google and searching for what is my IP.

The search results will display your public IP address. You need to copy it and share it with your friends that want to join the server. As you will see in the next section, you also need the same to join your new Minecraft Bedrock server.

Joining A Minecraft Server On Bedrock Edition

Bedrock Edition covers most of the game’s platforms. Nintendo Switch, Xbox, PlayStation, Pocket Edition and even Windows 10 Edition fall under the Bedrock umbrella, so it’s safe to say that Bedrock is pretty popular.

Servers can be anything and players can join them and play the game modes that are available. There are a few ways of doing this.

For Minecraft Pocket Edition, players can have Pocket Edition installed on a supported platform and ready to play. While Pocket Edition does, Xbox, PlayStation and Windows devices do not allow players to join servers with an IP address.

I miss the old days of Minecraft. I had Xbox 1 edition and I remember I used to play the Battle, Tumble, and Glide mini games. I would make Xbox friends and then make “servers” with them. It is still some of my favorite memories. That, or put those mini games on Bedrock edition.

For those that can, they can navigate to the “Servers” tab of Minecraft Bedrock after clicking the play button. An Internet connection will be required. There will be several different server options available, including an option to add one of the player’s own.

Players can also click the “Join Server” button and input the information manually to join a particular one. For platforms that don’t allow that, they can still join servers.

    What Is A Minecraft Server

A Minecraft server is a base world you and your friends can share, explore, and play within over the Internet. These can be as basic as your default spawn location or as complex as one of the best Minecraft modpacks. A simple Minecraft server loads the world data from its hosts existing device, and people can join that server using the hosts IP address.

What we will focus on today in this article is different from traditional servers. Instead of storing and hosting the server and its data on our devices, we are outsourcing the task to online hosting services. Doing so allows us to skip the manual setup process, and it also ensures that the servers stay accessible even if our device is offline. The best part is that we can do all of this and more for free. No file downloads, codes, or anything for manual setup is needed here.

    Edit The Eula And Connect

How to Make a Minecraft Bedrock Server 2021 | Start to Finish Set-up
  • Double click the startup.bat file, or whatever you choose to call it, to see what happens. Assuming everything is up to date and you entered everything correctly, you’ll see additional files in the server folder, such as the EULA, logs, and server properties. Close out of the command window.

  • Right click on the EULA and select Edit. In order to move forward, you need to agree to the EULA, which means you need to change the false portion of the last line to true. Do so, save and close the text document.

  • Rerun the batch file. Windows’ firewall will try to keep you safe by blocking access to your network. Network access is needed, so you can ignore the warning and click Allow Access.

  • Your command window should show the server being prepared. It can take some time, but the command windows will notify you when it is done. When it is, you should be able to connect to the server.

  • Launch Minecraft Java Edition.

  • Key in the hosting computer’s IP address or simply type “localhost” in the server address bar.

Changing The Default Permission Level When Players First Join Your Server

Another great way to customize permissions on your server, is changing what permission level players have when they first join your server. You can do so in either the Nodecraft panel or in the server.properties file.

To change it from the Nodecraft panel, navigate to the “Game Settings” page on the left side, then click on the “Player Settings’ tab. Please note, if you haven’t set any OPs yet, this option will not show up.

To change it from the server.properties file, navigate to the “File Manager” page on the left side, then click on the square checkbox next to the file and press the “edit” button that appears. Add the permission level you want to default-player-permission-level.

And that’s it! You have OPs now!

How To Join A Minehut Server

Minecraft Java players can directly join the server by adding the server address to the game .

On the other hand, Bedrock or Pocket Edition players need to go through an additional step to join the server. First, you’ll have to join the bedrock.minehut.com server on port 19132. Then in the chat, type “/join servername.minehut.gg” to access the server. If the server is up, you’ll be automatically teleported to that particular world.

For example, if your Minehut server address is “random.minehut.gg“, you’ll first join “bedrock.minehut.com“, then type “/join random.minehut.gg” in chat to join the server.

  • Head to the official site,

  • Scroll down to the Server Software section, and look for the Java Edition Server link.

  • Your browser may state that this file may be harmful to your computer, or something to that effect. You’re downloading the file directly from the Mojangs official site, so you dont need to stress this. Click the Keep option.

  • Once the file has finished downloading, which should not take long at all, drag it into the Server folder.

  • Open the Server folder you should see the server.jar file inside. Technically, you could simply click the file, and let it create all the extra files you need. Don’t do that. Instead, you’re going to create a batch file, a script that launches the server for us. There’s a reason for this: You’ll want to specify commands as needed, and spot errors via the command window. Writing a batch file lets you do that. This isn’t nearly as daunting as it sounds. In fact, the instructions to do this are on the server.jar download page.
