Best Minecraft Texture Packs For Water
When it comes to Minecraft, looking at the same textures of blocks day after day can get a bit tiring.
One of the most basic textures that needs updating is the water in the game. With more and more Minecraft mobs being aquatic, its unfortunate when players can’t admire them completely because of the darkness and hue of the vanilla water texture.
This is where the Minecraft community comes in! For years on end, Minecraft lovers have been developing texture and resource packs for anyone to download for free.
These texture packs come in all sorts of styles and densities, changing up the entire game or only a section of it. Here are some of the best texture packs that change the way water looks in Minecraft for the better.
How To Build An Underground Farm
Underground farms are just like outdoor farms, except they exist underground. Players sometimes farm underground to protect their crops from the zombies, skeletons and creepers that spawn at night. If you are on a multiplayer server, having an underground farm can protect and hide your food source from other players. Building an underground farm also ensures that your crops will have a light source that also keeps mobs from spawning. So how do you build an underground farm?

Till Dirt Blocks And Plant Seeds Of Your Choice
To grow your crops, youll need to till the dirt blocks first. You can make a hoe with cobblestone, iron, gold or diamond, though you won’t be using it often dirt blocks that have been tilled into farmland don’t need to be tilled again unless the blocks are not constantly hydrated or seeded. The only crops that don’t require tilled farmland are sugarcane, cactus, mushrooms, and saplings.
Once you have planted crops, all you can do is waitunless you speed the growth with bonemeal. Depending on how big your underground farm is, the time it takes to do this may not be worth the effort!
Turning off the lights in this underground farm uproots the crops from the farmland.
Light Sources For Crops

In order to grow crops like wheat, carrots, and potatoes, you need a source of light. Having your farm outdoors ensures that your crops will get plenty of light without having to construct anything however, using sunlight to grow your crops is not required. Wheat, carrots, potatoes, and other crops like melons and pumpkins can grow as long as the light level above them is at least 9it does not have to be sunlight. Torches alone have a light level of 14!
The flexibility of light sources for growing crops makes building an underground farm both easy and lucrative. Are you ready to give building an underground farm a try?

What Is Waving Plants Shader
As the name suggests, the waving plants shader mod makes the plants and tree leave more realistic. Every game player knows that there will be no natural wind available inside the game.
Still, the use of waving plant shaders brings the same twist to the experience of believing the possibility of wild wind inside the game.
Starting from the moving greenery around, a player can also see the waving of leaves, grass, and various other bushes across the game.
The movement varies with the change in weather conditions from smooth to rough waves, also is based on the time of day. Waving Plants shaders creates a beyond belief view with the vigorous waving of leaves during the time of rain.
Grass, leaves, and bushes all wave vigorously during lousy weather like thunderstorms or snowstorms.
The combination makes this shader of some basic shaders like the GLSL shader pack with some added features like more graphics allowing vegetation to move and sway with the wind or even without the wind.
Many of the shader mods available in world Minecraft cannot do justice with the waving of plants and trees.
In some shaders, players may see the continuous or rather endless waving of plants irrespective of the nature of the game.
With the continued waving of the leaves, every player loses the sense of pragmatism and destroys players beliefs, resulting in lesser fun or no fun.
Waving Plants shaders mod is built keeping in mind that plants do not move on their own or naturally inside the game.
Growth Speed And Efficiency
The speed of growth for crops is determined by how ideal their growing environment is. If crops have water within four blocks and appropriate light levels during daytime and nighttime, they will grow significantly faster. However, there are still a few more ways to speed up the process.
If you’re farming multiple crops, make sure to alternate the crop types by row. For example, the first row can be wheat, the second row can be carrots, and the third row can be potatoes, after which the pattern repeats itself again. This has been proven to boost crop growth in a noticeable way.
Since 1.15, bees can also be used to one’s advantage. If you have bees nearby, try building your crop farm close to their beehive to ensure they also pollinate your crops. You’ll need to place some flowers around as to attract the bees. Pollination will help your crops grow much faster.

Finally, the classic method to speed up the growth process is to use bone meal. Skeletons will drop bones when killed, which can then be turned into bone meal. In the Nether, bone blocks can be harvested with a pickaxe in a soul sand valley biome.
If neither of these methods are available, you can also build a composter and put in various plants and foods you don’t need. Eventually, the top of the composter will have white dots, which can be harvested for some bone meal.

Today were going to learn how farming works in Minecraft. If you have been playing Minecraft for a while you are probably wondering how to make a farm.
You will want to know what tools to use for farming and what materials you need to gather. This guide will take you through all of these questions. As well as the basics, we will also look into what crops you can grow and where to find the seeds and resources to grow these crops.
To swiftly answer your question. To make a farm in Minecraft you will need a hoe, some dirt blocks, a water source, and some seeds to plant. You have to plant the dirt blocks near the water so they are getting adequate water supply. Once thats done, you can plant the seeds in the dirt blocks and wait until the crops grow.
But its not as easy as that. It never is, is it? So without further ado. Lets jump into the details of how farming works in Minecraft.
Fertilize The Sugar Cane
Your sugar cane will slowly grow over-time. However, we can speed that up by fertilizing the plants with bonemeal .
Select bonemeal in your Hotbar and use the following game controls to fertilize your sugar cane plants:
- Java Edition , Windows 10 Edition, Education Edition: right-click on the sugarcane.
- Pocket Edition : tap on the sugarcane.
- Xbox 360, Xbox One: press the LT button.
- PS3, PS4: press the L2 button.
- Wii U, Nintendo Switch: press the ZL button.
As you use the bonemeal, you’ll notice the plants grow to 3 blocks tall. Once your sugar cane farm is fully-grown, we can harvest the plant.

Plants You Can Farm In Minecraft
We have compiled a list of all the plants you can grow in Minecraft. In the table below you will find what you need to farm the crop, what you get when you harvest it and most importantly where to find the seeds/ plants in order to farm it.
Grass, Potatoes, Carrots, and Beetroot
Grass, potatoes, carrots, and beetroot can be grown with the normal farming methods mentioned above. However, the rest of the crops require slightly different methods.
Melons and Pumpkins
Melons and Pumpkins dont grow on dirt like wheat or potatoes. You grow them by placing them next to a dirt block or grass block. The melon or pumpkin seed will harvest a melon or pumpkin next to them. When harvesting, dont destroy the crop in the ground itself, harvest the melon or pumpkin next to the crop.
Sugar Cane
Sugar Cane grows by placing it next to a large pool of water. It has to be right next to the water in order to grow. Essentially plant them in the same fashion you found them, next to a pond or lake.
Cacti
Cacti will grow on a sand block only. It does not require a water source to grow.
Cocoa Beans
You will need to make a wall of jungle wood to plant your cocoa beans on. Once planted, they take a while to harvest. You will know they are ready when the cocoa pods turn orange.
Nether Wart
Nether Wart is grown on soul sand blocks similar to the way you grow wheat, potatoes or carrots. Plant the crop on soul sand and wait for it to grow.
Trees

Provide An Appropriate Light Source

Your underground farm needs light to grow and prosper. As shown in the table above, most light sources are bright enough to grow crops without the aid of sunlight. Torches are the simplest and cheapest option placing them at least 12 blocks apart will guarantee that your crops have enough light and that mobs wont spawn.
If you want fancier décor, try using glowstone or crafting redstone lamps. Both give off the same light level as sunlight and have more visual appeal. Keep in mind that redstone lamps require switches or redstone setups to turn on, however.
Growing crops in this underground farm only requires four blocks of water!

Requirements For A Farm
Farms require a few constants in order to grow and produce crops:
- dirt blocks
- water blocks
- light source
As in real life, every crop that you harvest in Minecraft needs to be grown in dirt. Dirt blocks make up large portions of most Minecraft worlds and are incredibly easy to acquire. It is impossible to plant and farm crops on any other material block . As long as the conditions are appropriate, crops can be farmed both above land and underground as long as they are planted on dirt blocks.

How To Farm In Minecraft
This Minecraft tutorial explains how to farm with a hoe with screenshots and step-by-step instructions.
In Minecraft, you can plant and grow your own garden of wheat, carrots and potatoes by farming in the game. When you farm, you require water and a hoe. To speed up the growing process, you can use bone meal. Let’s explore how to farm.
Harvest Crops When They’re Full
Harvesting your crops prematurely results in killing the plant and getting back the seeds if you harvest wheat before its time, you will get back wheat seeds and have to plant it all over again. Fully grown crops are at their tallest and are sometimes more yellow than green. When pumpkins and melons are fully grown, the crop grows onto the dirt block next to the plant.
When you harvest a fully grown crop, you receive the end product along with new seeds to plant in its place. In later Minecraft versions, you can right-click on most crops to harvest them without ripping out the seeds!
The redstone lamps are connected by a redstone circuit around the underground farm.

How Hard Is It To Grow Wheat
Wheat, oats, millet, and other grains are actually much easier to grow than most fruits and vegetables, yet we tend to leave those foods to large farms and buy our flour and cornmeal at the grocery store. The truth is that 1,000 square feet the size of an average backyard is enough space to grow a bushel of wheat.
Plant The Melon Seeds

Select the melon seeds in your Hotbar and plant them onto the blocks of soil that you previously used your hoe on. Plant your melon seeds using the following controls on your game controller:
- Java Edition , Windows 10 Edition, Education Edition: right-click on the block.
- Pocket Edition : tap on the block.
- Xbox 360, Xbox One: press the LT button.
- PS3, PS4: press the L2 button.
- Wii U, Nintendo Switch: press the ZL button.
Once you have planted your melon seeds, you’ll begin to see them grow. Now, let’s speed up that process!
