When Is The Minecraft 117 Update Coming Out

Minecraft has not only been a game that has stood the test of time, but one that has dominated the gaming industry for a little more than a decade. To become the second-best-selling game of all-time is no minor feat, but Minecraft has also managed to stay culturally relevant, which is an even more significant achievement.

The way Minecraft keeps its audience engaged is through introducing new updates that change the game just about enough to keep things fresh. While these updates don’t change the core gameplay, they add several new things that freshen up the in-game experience.

During Minecraft Live 2020, Mojang revealed that a new “Caves and Cliffs” update, 1.17, will be available for download in mid-2021. Fans are now excited about everything new that this update will bring to the game.

Minecraft 119 The Wild Update: Expected Release Date

As of January 2022, we have no official statement around the release date of the Minecraft 1.19 update. But looking at the historical release timeline on Minecraft Wiki, most major updates rolled out with a 6-month gap between them. So, keeping that in mind, the likely release date for the Minecraft 1.19 update should be the month of June 2022.

Though, we are not placing our bets on this release timeline just yet. Thanks to several leaks from popular Minecraft modders and the early availability of the 1.19 Bedrock beta, we might get the update in .

Noise Caves And Aquifers Are New Cave Features

Noise caves are a new way of generating caves that leads to greater natural variety out in the world, and there are three food-themed variations of them: Cheese, Spaghetti, and Noodle. Cheese caves, much like real-life Swiss cheese, are large holes that lead to cavern formations of differing sizes. Contrarily, Spaghetti caves are long and relatively narrow paths that go all over the place. Lastly, Noodle caves are very similar to Spaghetti caves except they are thinner and squigglier. This new system mixes in with the original cave and canyon generating systems to create much more diverse cave systems found in a world.

Aquifers are another new feature that can be found in caves with the Minecraft 1.18 update. These bodies of water form in noise cave areas with their own local water level thats independent of sea level. Depending on the size of the cave system, this can result in giant underground lakes, although aquifers can also generate inside mountains and at the surface. You also have a chance of stumbling across a lava aquifer if youre below y0.

What’s Next For Minecraft Dungeons

Minecraft 1.17 Release Date

Mojang made a series of other announcements at Minecraft Live today, including what’s next for Minecraft Dungeons. A new live-service element called Seasonal Adventures is coming this December. Players can complete weekly challenges to earn points that they can spend on cosmetics like skins, capes, pets, emotes, and “flairs” that make their character perform a specific action when taking down an enemy or levelling up, for example.

Season One of Minecraft Dungeons’ new Seasonal Adventures is called The Cloudy Climb. It adds a new location, the Tower, which is a single-player experience. You start with a blank-slate character called the Tower Avatar and you make your way up the floors of the tower, which are populated with mobs, and each one more difficult than the last. Each floor is themed and has new enemies, and progress can be saved between floors, which take only a few minutes to complete.

Mojang plans to release a new Tower about every two weeks, and the Tower is global and the same for everyone. Everyone who completes the Towers gets multiple rewards, while those who even attempt it will receive a reward for their efforts, too.

New Minecraft Deep Dark Biome

To kick off our round up of Minecraft The Wild update, we’re going deeper underground to look at the Deep Dark Biome. Down there you’ll find ancient cities to explore, which are definitely eerie and have lots of secrets hiding in the shadows. Be brave and adventure into the darkness, as there is unique loot to be found there.

The Deep Dark Biome Sculk Blocks And Wireless Redstone

One of the Deep Dark biomes characteristics is that its where you can normally find Sculk Growths. These growths a new Redstone-like power source but is the key for finally introducing us to the wireless activation of Redstone powered gadgets.

If a Sculk Sensor detects footsteps or destroy/place a block, it will emit a new Redstone signal. You can use these to operate gadgets without a trail of Redstone connecting the two.

You can use wool to prevent the signal from passing through too, meaning that you can ensure that the trigger only activates the signal between Sculk signals and contraptions. So the possibilities for wireless Redstone in constructing city builds or colossal Minecraft castles are nigh-on endless!

Minecraft’s Next Big Update Gets A Release Date

Minecraft developer Mojang Studios has announced that its next big update, Caves & Cliffs: Part II, is officially set to release on November 30th. That said, it seems like not all of the initially planned features will make the cut, though it will still include several new additions that should make players happy.

Specifically, Minecraft‘s Caves & Cliffs: Part II update will include major renovations to mountains and caves like better terrain generation and cave systems, higher peaks on mountains, and larger ore veins. It will also bring candles to the video game. That said, features like archeology, bundles, and goats have all been put on hold for now.

“You may have noticed that a few items were missing from the list of new stuff, namely archeology, bundles, and goat horns,” the announcement of the Caves & Cliffs: Part II update release date reads in part. “This was not just because I couldn’t come up with something quippy to write about them, because I totally could. Archeology? I can dig it! See? Gold. No, these features have been put on hold. They have not been cancelled, we just had to put them on the backburner for now. While they won’t be in the Wild Update, they are going to come to Minecraft in the future when we’re able to add them in the best possible way.”

The New Warden Mob Is Coming In A Future Update

When Is The Minecraft Update Coming Out

Unfortunately, the new Warden mob has been delayed out of the Minecraft Caves and Cliffs part 2 update and will instead arrive in a future update some time in 2022. Mojang announced this year that the Warden and the Deep Dark biome it lives in were being pushed into the 1.19 Minecraft update, which is also known as Minecraft The Wild update.

Wardens and the Deep Dark biome arent the only things that didnt quite make the cut for the 1.18 update, however. Archeology, bundles, and goat horns wont be in Minecraft just yet either, but will come in a later update likely the Wild Update along with the Warden mob.

For those not in the know, Archeology will allow players to use a copper brush to reveal items buried in Sand, Gravel, or Dirt Blocks found within a new Archeology Site structure. Goat Horns have a chance to drop from goats after they charge into a solid object and can be used by the player to make sounds. Finally, Bundles are craftable sacks that take up one inventory slot but can hold several items of different types useful for long journeys and extensive mining expeditions where food and material storage is essential.

What’s In The 119 Wild Update For ‘minecraft’ New Blocks Items And Biomes

The Caves and Cliffs update featured new mobs like the Axolotl and the glow squid, along with other new blocks and a rehaul of the caves in the game. The Deep Dark biome that was originally planned for the Caves and Cliffs update has been moved to the Wild update, along with a lot of new content. This is also the update that will feature the new Allay mob, which was voted on by viewers during the Minecraft Live event in 2021.

This new biome will feature the Warden mob a blind creature who uses vibrations to sense its enemies and is incredibly hard to kill. While other mobs have rewards for defeating them, it’s recommended you leave the Wardens alone, as they become faster and harder to kill the more you attack them.

The swamp biome will also be getting a redesign with this new update, introducing mud, the Mangrove Swamp biome, frogs, tadpoles, and a bunch of new blocks to build with.

What About The Other Features That Were Promised In Caves And Cliffs Part 2

Several notable additions that were planned to be released with Minecraft 1.18 have since been delayed, and will now reach us at the earliest in Minecraft 1.19, which will likely drop sometime in 2022. These delays include the new Deep Dark biome, Sculk Blocks, and the Warden.

It’s been further confirmed that at least three of the delayed features won’t be included in the Wild Update either, though the Minecraft team are at pains to assure us that none of these features are cancelled. Still, it’s sad news for those of us who have been most excited about these changes, but at least we’ll soon get to explore the vast new terrain changes that Minecraft 1.18 will bring.

That’s a wrap on the main features and details of Minecraft’s upcoming 1.18 update. The Warden Mob Has Been Delayed

The Warden was originally announced as part of the Caves & Cliffs update, planned to come in the 1.18 version. As of this year’s Minecraft live, Mojang announced that the Warden and the Deep Dark biome it hails from are both being pushed back to the 1.19 Wild Update.

As they are found so deep underground, Wardens are blind, responding to vibrations and movement instead of light. If you get near one, the area will dim, regardless of any light source used. You’ll know if one is aware of your presence as the ‘horns’ on its head will glow and rattle.

They’re pretty scary, having tons of health and dealing massive damage. They’re big, too, standing taller than an Iron Golem. They’ll also chase after you if you don’t crouch to sneak past them. Luckily they can be tricked by throwing objects like eggs or snowballs.
