Minecraft Guide: How To Acquire The Ender Dragon Egg

Minecraft: How to cook eggs in Minecraft (Real)

You may be hard-pressed to convince people you successfully defeated the ender dragon unless you have a trophy to show off. The minds behind Minecraft thought about this and made it possible for the most clever of dragon slayers to obtain the incredibly rare ender dragon egg. Of course, acquiring the most valuable decorative piece in Minecraft isn’t easy to do, and there’s a specific way you have to approach this. We’re here to tell you what you need to know.

How Do You Get The Ender Dragon Egg In Minecraft

The ender dragon egg is a large black egg with purple spots that has some peculiar characteristics. Besides being a one-of-a-kind object with no practical uses in Minecraft, it’s also notoriously difficult to obtain. If one didn’t know better, they might assume it was impossible after multiple attempts. That’s because the ender dragon egg tends to teleport to a random nearby location anytime anything tries to damage or mine it in any way. Any time you try to pick up the ender dragon egg, it’ll vanish and reappear somewhere else. This can become very frustrating if you’re determined to add it to your collection. There are ways of beating this, though.

Before we get to the nitty-gritty of adding the ender dragon egg to your collection, there are two teensy tiny little things you have to do first. Both of these require extensive preparation and know-how, so you might want to read up before you go ahead. As might be expected, the ender dragon egg exists only in the End,, which can be likened to Minecraft’s shadowy underworld. It’s dark, filled with creatures just aching to kill you, and isn’t very easy to get to. So why bother? Because it has a ton of treasure just waiting to be found.

To prepare to get the ender dragon egg in Minecraft, you have to:

Once you’ve fully prepared, there are two ways to get the ender dragon egg in Minecraft:

Spawn Eggs Are So Pretty

As you can see, spawn eggs can be very pretty! Each color represents a different mob. My favorites are the Creeper, Shulker, Turtle and Wandering Trader. These colors really pop!

We decided that the blocks look a bit like Tetris pieces, so we used that as a basic guide when we made our own dyed Minecraft eggs. You can also decorate the eggs with squares if you get tired!

Its hard to made a real three dimensional egg follow a flat pattern, so we just cover the egg with Tetris shapes until were happy with the final look.

Theres 60 spawn eggs with the release of version 1.15, so you might want to pick the most colorful eggs for your basket.

When you have made all four end crystals, place them on each side of the end portal, with the egg on top of the bedrock tower. Doing so will hatch the egg and summon a new End Dragon.

This is an easy method to paint real hardboiled eggs or plastic Easter eggs to look like Minecraft Spawn Eggs. Dye the eggs a base color then use Sharpie Markers or Paint to draw a pattern of square spots.

Eggs are one of the few things in Minecraft that arent square, so theyre easy to reproduce with real chicken eggs. They come in a ton of colors and theyre pretty fun to make.

Hint: You can even craft your eggs from paper or plastic eggs so they last forever!

For automatic farming, you probably want something a bit more complex. We’ve included a link below to an automated chicken meat farm that will also produce eggs.

How Long Does It Take For A Turtle Egg To Hatch Minecraft

Depending upon random tick speed, an egg usually hatches in about 4-5 days.

About 90% of the turtle eggs take 7 nights or less to hatch.

This time can be reduced significantly if players start using the above-mentioned set of steps.

How to make turtle eggs hatch faster in Minecraft is probably the most searched related query of the Minecraft game.

Everybody wants to make progress in their game quickly by using game cheat codes.

And there is no doubt that it is pretty much easier to do so.

Real Eggs: Use Dye Crayon And Sharpies

Eat the Eggs mod for Minecraft PE (IC)

For our real hard boiled eggs we used a combo of dye, crayon and Sharpie marker. Dont use paint if you plan on eating your eggs!

There are two ways to decorate a real egg: dye and crayon resist or dye and Sharpie.

Dye and CrayonResist: The easiest eggs to copy with traditional dye and crayon are those with light spotsyou dye the egg the COLOR OF THE SPOTS, allow it to dry, then color the spot pattern with a white crayon. Give it a second dip the eggs in the base color.

Ill be truthful, only our Blaze egg turned out looking well. We used yellow dye and crayon for the spots, then over dyed with orange.

Black eggs, like for an Enderman, didnt work well with dye either. I picked up a special bottle of black dye and the egg only turned out brown. Blah!

Dye and Sharpie works the best. Simply dye your egg with the base color, then allow it to dry. Later, add spots with a Sharpie. This is still best with light colored base colors and dark spots. Think Creeper, Bee, Pig and Sheep for best results.

What Is A Minecraft Spawn Egg

First, a little info for my non-gamer parents!

There are two kinds of eggs in Minecraft. One are plain ol chicken eggs, normal eggs that pop out of chickens. These are used in recipes to craft cake and pumpkin pie, and you can also throw them to make baby chickens.

Spawn eggs allow players to hatch mobs at will. Mobs, in game terms, are any living creature thats not the player.

Spawn eggs can produce monsters , friendly animals or evenvillagers. Yeah, its a weird game.

Below is a chart Ive made of all the current Minecraft spawn eggs from version 1.15.2. This includes new animal mobs like the Bee, Fox, Panda and Llama. Were up to 60 spawn eggs now!

Feel free to print out this chart and use it as a reference guide if your kids want to make certain mobs. Otherwise, you can see the eggs inside the Creative Inventory while playing the game.

Spawn eggs are only available on Creative mode or some multiplayer servers. For example, we play at Cubeville.org where you can use in game credit to purchase spawn eggs to make pets or livestock for your farm.

How Do You Make Turtles Grow Faster In Minecraft

After the hatching process, the turtle will take a little while to grow.

Some players dont want to wait that much time.

To make the growth progress faster, one can feed them more with seagrass.

If you feed your turtle with 10 seagrass at once, then it will grow to an adult instantly.

This is how you can make your turtle grow to an adult much faster after hatching.

Why Are My Turtle Eggs Not Hatching In Minecraft

How to Make an Automatic EGG Farm in Minecraft! 1.16.4

After following how to make turtle eggs hatch faster in Minecraft process, if your turtle eggs are not hatching, then just have a look at the following reasons below.

Actually, there is no strict time that is set for the hatching process of an egg.

The egg might hatch instantly or can take up to a few days.

It will only hatch on sand blocks and there is no effect of gravity on them.

Furthermore, if the player is not present within the 128 blocks of an egg, then it will not progress towards the hatching process.

So, make sure about these important aspects if the egg is not making any progress.

Be patient and let the turtle egg hatch by itself otherwise use the above-mentioned Minecraft game cheat code to quickly hatch the egg.

    Breeding Turtles In Minecraft

First, you are going to need two turtles to make this happen. Then you are going to need to have the turtles on sand. Once you have the turtles close together and on sand, feed them seagrass. You will see hearts over their head, and they will make there way close to each other. Once they do the turtle dance, if they’ve successfully mated you will see an experience bubble pop out. Not too long after this, one of them will start digging around in the sand. After a bit of digging, a turtle egg will show up!

There’s a big caveat to all of this and that’s the fact that turtles will only lay eggs on their “home beach.” This is the beach they were born on or are near when you find them. If you want to have turtles near your home, then you’ll have to pick up the eggs that are laid. To do this, you will need a pickaxe with the Silk Touch enchantment on it.

You’ll have to wait a bit longer to breed them again, around five minutes.

    Extending The 334 Farm

A simple modification with the egg/feather hopper can be a dropper/hopper path pointing back to an egg dispenser under clock circuit pulses. As the dispenser creates chicks by re-throwing the eggs into the chicken area, a closed cycle for generating more and more eggs and chickens form. If left unmanaged, it’s likely that the game would lag with a huge number of chickens, possibly before the maxEntityCramming gamerule kicks in.

A block of water laid on top of the air block controlled by air, controlled by a dispenser with a bucket can be used as a “kill switch” for obtaining cooked chicken. The down-flowing water stops the chickens from swimming up, and a top lid made of trapdoor would guarantee suffocation. Replace the block of water with a block of lava to get a cooked-chicken farm.

How To Get The Dragon Egg In Minecraft

    Craftable Spawner Eggs

Players will first need to kill the Ender Dragon inside the End if they want to get a Dragon Egg. Players will also need to bring along a piston and a lever as they will not be able to pick the egg up, and the only way of getting the egg is to push off the block tower it sits upon in the End.

But even with the egg pushed off the bedrock block tower in the End, you will not be able to get the egg until the Ender Dragon has been slain. An easy way to kill the Ender Dragon is by using beds, as explained in our How to kill the Ender Dragon with Beds Guide.

Once you kill the Ender Dragon, take your piston and lever and build a small platform up the side of the bedrock tower the egg sits upon. You can find this tower in the middle of the end portal, and so you might want to create a wall to keep the egg from falling into the portal.

When you have a wall protecting the egg from the portal, place the piston on top of your newly made tower along with the lever, and you should be able to push the egg off the bedrock tower with ease.

It will be about 20 blocks where you will need to make sure the egg falls, but if you cover the portal, you shouldn’t have any issues with letting the egg fall down.
