Signs Of Herobrine In Minecraft
Herobrine has often been connected to a certain pattern of signs that appear in a players survival world. These patterns or signs have believed to be the proof of Herobrines existence.
The typical signs of Herobrine having haunted your Minecraft world are corruptions of some sort to your world. Any type of structures or terrain that cannot have been naturally generated in Minecraft and has not been done by the player himself is usually considered that Herorbine has messed with your game.
A few of the typical signs include groves of trees, with all the leaves removed, 2 × 2 manmade tunnels in a strip-mining fashion, as well as perfectly made sand pyramids found near oceans. Minecraft players have also reported items have gone missing from their storage as well as structures of their survival bases having been moved by the time they logged into their world to play their game.

How To Summon Him
If the above didn’t give too much away, you’ll be saddened to know that this has all been an elaborate ruse. You can’t actually summon Herobrine in Minecraft despite what people say.
There is literally no evidence of this character existing in Minecraft. This, though, plays into ideas of his supernatural characteristics and annoyingly only cements the myth of the character further.
Herobrine has made a few appearances in official Minecraft assets though which many are expecting is a little bit of an inside joke. For the most part, when he does appear it’s the result of fan-made submissions.
Herobrine is one of those things that is almost “free marketing” for Mojang as it keeps pulling people back into the depths of Minecraft’s deepest cave.
Minecraft’s Infamous ‘herobrine’ World Seed Has Been Found
Herobrine is a legend in Minecraft, the star of a creepypasta not dissimilar to Slender Man. He was first reported in a 2010 4chan post, according to a history on the Minecraft Wiki, but went largely unnoticed until a streamer named Copeland shared several images “proving” the odd character’s existence. Herobrine appears in singleplayer games, so the story went, where he does weird things like carving 2×2 tunnels in the rocks or cutting all the leaves off of trees he looks identical to the default Minecraft skin, but with white, empty eyes.
Like all good legends, this one had a hook in the real world: Herobrine was reportedly Notch’s dead brother, although to be honest I’m not sure whether the idea was that Notch coded his deceased sibling into Minecraft to preserve him for eternity, or if it was his vengeful spirit come back to haunt the game. Not that it really matters, becausespoiler alertthe whole thing was made up. Herobrine doesn’t exist and, for the record, Notch never had a brother.
The seed was discovered on January 16 by andrew_555 , who said on Reddit that it took “probably about 50 hours in total for developing/writing the code back in September” followed by months of occasional debugging, until they “realised there was a wrong leaf in the recreation which had been the problem all along.”

There is no way to spawn this elusive NPC in the game legitimately. You can build all of the portals you want, sacrifice as many cows as you desire, he will not appear.
The only way you can definitely spawn Herobrine in your game of Minecraft is to use mods. You can have him join you, or just do things around your home. Whatever you can find a mod for. But without the power of mods you will never get to share a screen with the legend that is Herobrine.

The Story Of Herobrine
This is the most famous story about Herobrine:
I had recently spawned a new world in single-player Minecraft. Everything was normal at first as I began chopping down trees and crafting a workbench. I noticed something move amongst the dense fog . I thought it was a cow, so I pursued it, hoping to grab some hides for armor.
It wasn’t a cow though. Looking back at me was another character with the default skin, but his eyes were empty. I saw no name pop up, and I double-checked to make sure I wasn’t in multiplayer mode. He didn’t stay long, he looked at me and quickly ran into the fog. I pursued out of curiosity, but he was gone,
I continued on with the game, not sure what to think. As I expanded to world I saw things that seemed out of place for the random map generator to make 2×2 tunnels in the rocks, small perfect pyramids made of sand in the ocean, and groves of trees with all their leaves cut off. I would constantly think I saw the other “player” in the deep fog, but I never got a better look at him. I tried increasing my render distance to far whenever I thought I saw him, but to no avail.
I received an email from another forum user. He claimed the mods can read the forum user messages, so we were safer using email. The emailer claimed that he had seen the mystery player too, and had a small ‘directory’ of other users who had seen him as well. Their worlds were littered with obviously man-made features as well, and described their mystery player to have no pupils.
Minecraft Herobrine Appearance And Behavior
Herobrines appearance resembles that of Steve, the default male character of Minecraft. The only difference that you can easily spot between the two is the presence of Herobrines glowing white eyes. It is believed that Herobrines eyes actually emit light, akin to those of Enderman or spiders.
When it comes to the behavior of Herobrine, the entity is often known to corrupt the worlds that Minecraft users are playing in. Some players have spotted Herobrine with a pickaxe in his hands, although mostly his hands remain empty.
Due to the pickaxe, a lot of community threads have also speculated that Herobrine is actually a dead miner that haunts the world, which would also explain the existence of the many abandoned mineshafts that generate in a Minecraft world.
Mostly, Herobrine is not considered a hostile mob. There have been reports of Herobrine having teleported to attack or kill the player, but most of these instances, like all others, have been specific mods that govern the behavior of the entity.

How To Summon Herobrine
Since Herobrine has actually never existed in Minecraft and Mojang has often confirmed that they dont plan to introduce him to the game either, there is no way to summon him in the unmodded version of the game.
There are many articles, videos, and threads online that claim to know about ways to summon or spawn Herobrine or even craft him on a crafting table, none of these methods actually work. The ones that do work usually have a Herobrine mod involved.
Story Of Minecraft Herobrine
While Herobrine has never actually existed in vanilla Minecraft, his story has been around for a little over 10 years now. The creepy legend first came to surface in a Minecraft players unclear screenshot, in which the player reported to have spotted a figure with white glowing eyes in his singleplayer world.
At first, the image was ignored by the Minecraft community but soon, an urban legend was weaved around the mysterious figure. Minecraft players began reporting corruptions in their singleplayer survival gameplay – entire forests with no leaves on the bark, weird structures that could not have naturally spawned in the world, and even manmade 2 × 2 tunnels in underground caves.
It so happened that these corruptions became the story of Herobrine. Some Minecraft players even started saying that Herobrine was the dead brother of Notch, the creator of Minecraft. Despite Notch having denied having any brother, dead or alive, some Minecraft fans kept believing that Herobrine was Notchs brother who had returned to haunt Minecraft. And even without any evidence, the legend of Herobrine kept growing.
The story truly took off when the Brocraft streamer, Copeland photoshopped a few screenshots of the game to look like Herobrine has haunted his game. In fact, he took the story one step further and even staged a hoax using a live stream video. He started streaming his normal survival world, deliberately avoiding to go into one of the rooms of the build he was working on.
How To Summon Herobrine In Minecraft Pocket Edition

Is Herobrine Real
Currently, Herobrine has not been proven present in any version of Minecraft.
However, you can have Herobrine present in your PC world by downloading a mod or have a player wear a Herobrine skin activated. On the Xbox and PlayStation version of Minecraft, players that download various skin packs may come across multiple Herobrine variants. These include the standard skin and Zombie Herobrine.
So what is the cause of the purported sightings? Aside from hoaxes, of course.
Prior to Beta 1.8, there was a mob simply titled “Monster” which looked exactly like Steve, it could be spawned in preclassic, but this feature was later removed in the early stages of classic Intriguingly, beta 1.6.6, an update in which all of the monster’s class files were removed, was also the first time Notch included the “removed Herobrine” message present in the changelogs.
The original sighting included a screenshot, in which leaves were lighter than the color they were changed to in Alpha 1.2.0, meaning the “monster” was still present in the game, and had its stats intact, though it couldn’t spawn. It may be possible that in versions prior to beta 1.8, these “monsters” spawned due to a glitch, being misidentified as Herobrine.
As for Notch having a dead brother, Notch has two siblings: An estranged half-brother and a sister , both of whom are still living and neither of who are in the game.
