How To Make Potions In Minecraft

To begin making Potions in Minecraft, you will need a base ingredient that will be the most vital ingredient of any Potion in the game. For example, if you are making a Potion of weakness, you will need a fermented spider eye to begin the brewing process. Once you get a hold of the base ingredients, you need to proceed and collect the secondary ingredients for the Potion that will determine the type of effect your brew is going to have on you and your enemy. For example, in slow-falling Potions, you need a phantom membrane as your secondary ingredient, without which the effect and the whole basis of the brew wont take place.

Once you have collected all the required ingredients, you can proceed with the proper steps to brew the particular type of Potions. Of course, each Potion serves a different purpose, like it could be a strength Potion, a weakness Potion, or something called the awkward Potion. However, the procedure to brew one remains almost identical.

Is Packed Ice Faster Than Ice

Packed ice is slippery, causing most entities to slide, including items. This also allows for increased speed of items in water currents by placing the packed ice under the water current. Mobs do not travel faster in water currents on packed ice. Unlike normal ice, packed ice does not melt if placed near light sources.

    A. The buff does not go away and you can drink and throw potions underwater. However, it seems like it does not affect your above-water swim speed. It does affect your sprinting swim speed and when you are holding a jump to swim across shallow water. From what I could tell it was not very noticeable but it does increase your speed a little.

What Is A Slow Falling Potion

As the name of this Potion is pretty straightforward, the Slow Falling Potion in Minecraft prevents you from actually dying by falling in the game as it reduces your speed and lets you accumulate to whats happening around you while you receive the fall damage. This was introduced in Minecraft java edition 1.13, and it just reduces the falling capability of the players and the mob in Minecraft.

You receive less or no fall damage if you have this Potion, and when it is combined with elytra, you can glide around as well. Being one of the highly used Potions in Minecraft is pretty practical and essential in this fast-paced game where you need to fight off enemies and have secured gameplay.

The Potion works on the mechanics that the person who has acquired this Potion falls extremely slowly and receives negligible damage. The mobs are also affected by this Potion except for the boss mob, which is the only entity in Minecraft that doesnt feel the effect of this Potion on themselves.

The slow-falling Potion can have a varied effect on the entities which consume it. When you sprint after you drink the Potion, you can jump up to 5 blocks and across the gap of five blocks. After that, you can gain enough momentum and push yourself to jump across 6 blocks. The standard block to cover is four blocks, and anyone with the Potion can do so.

There are three types of Slow Falling Potions, and they are:

  • Potion of Slow Falling
  • Splash Potion of Slow Falling
  • Lingering Potion of Slow Falling

Is Feather Falling Or Protection Better

Feather Falling has a slightly lower protection level than Protection IV. This makes them equally effective at reducing fall damage. Feather falling, however, also happens to slow your fall speed while being worn which, according to the wiki article on boots, is actually more valuable.

So if you are like me and want to go fast in mcpe, then I strongly suggest getting feather-falling boots of swiftness!

Visit The Nether To Gather Resources

The first thing you’ll want to do is visit the Nether. Plan accordingly armor and weapons, especially with enchantments, will help you gather resources and fend off enemies. Also, consider bringing a bunch of snowballs. They hurt Blazes and are relatively fast to fire off. To make a snowball, just dig snow with a shovel!

Your best bet is to locate a fortress within the Nether. Here you’ll find Nether wart growing in soul sand at the bottom of the entrance staircase. Mine both items with a shovel.

Fortresses also contain a Blaze spawner. If you manage to locate the spawner, kill a Blaze and grab the Blaze rod it drops. This is used to craft the brewing stand.

You can also turn these potions into splash potions by placing gunpowder above the potion of swiftness in the brewing stand.

After it is done cooking the shape of the bottle will change and now you can throw these potions onto the ground below you or affect mobs with the speed effect.

Instead of gunpowder you can use redstone to increase the duration of the potion effect. You can also use glowstone dust to improve the effect of the potion. This does make the potion last not as long, but it nearly doubles the effect of potions.

    Does Glowstone Regenerate

Basically, I suggest that after removing glowstone in the nether, new glowstone blocks will eventually regenerate to replace the removed ones. It would be great for those who play multiplayer and often run out of glowstone in the nether, or for those who in singleplayer have just run out of glowstone in their worlds.

Why Do We Need Feather Falling

Feather Falling allows us to essentially swim through the air at a slower speed than normal, but without fear of suffocating or taking fall damage. This makes getting around worlds much easier no more bridges are needed! Just use your Feather Falling Apples to slow yourself down as you move along.

You can use feather falling to stop yourself from killing yourself when you fall out of the world, something that always used to happen back in Beta 1.8 but is less frequent these days with fancy void maps. You can also use it when building, as you no longer need to build bridges near walls anymore!
