Minecraft Caves & Cliffs Part Ii Speculated Release Date
Couldnt we have released everything in one update? And how will the new version numbers work?
In this third Caves & Cliffs special, we answer some of your burning questions about the upcoming update, and we look forward to Part II!
Minceraft: Caves & Cliffs Update is one of the most anticipated updates since the release of Minecraft. It was announced in 2020 on Minecraft Live, and in April 2021, since the new update had so many major changes to the game, Mojang decided to split it into two updates.
In Part I, players will see many monsters, items, and material additions such as axolots, goats, copper ore, blocks, dripleaves, and much more.
In Part II, Mojang will focus more on generating and building the world. It will focus on adding large-scale mountains, some additional biomes, and a new mob called Warden.
It will also focus on things like 3D biomes, as well as making a smooth transition for players when they update their new world from 1.17 to 1.18 once the time comes.
Unfortunately, there is no information on the release date of the second part of the Caves & Cliffs update. However, it is fairly certain that it will be released later in 2021, with some speculating that it will be released for the 2021 holiday season.
Hopefully once Minecraft 1.17 is up and running, Mojang will announce the release date for 1.18.
When Minecraft 117 Is Coming Out
Minecraft’s 1.17 update was announced in 2020, releasing teaser content for expansions to caves and cliffs, and players are hopeful it will come soon.
It has been many months since fans of Minecraft have had any updates on when they might expect the launch of the previously announced 1.17 update “Caves and Cliffs.” The announcement was originally made in October of 2020, and brought exciting news from developers on how they planned to make Minecraft’s cave systems and mountain biomes more unique and interesting for players. However, since last fall, there have been minimal information updates regarding developer progress.
Big updates have always been a double-edged sword for Minecraft. Often what is included in official expansions has already been done on a larger scale, and with better quality, in community-made modpacks. Despite this, fans are always curious to see what might be included in the official expansions Mojang puts out, and often the new canon materials are reworked into existing modpacks. The “Caves and Cliffs” update will add a good deal of content to these otherwise sparse areas, improving locations that have been left out of past updated versions of the game.

Warden: New Hostile Mob
The Warden is a terrifying new mini-boss mob which only spawns in the aforementioned Deep Dark biome below Y=0. Wardens are blind, and will follow and attack players and mobs which make sounds and vibrations of any sort, including footsteps.
Invisibility potions won’t help you against the Warden: it can detect you at all times unless you’re sneaking. If attacked, it will lock onto you and follow you, and if attacked repeatedly, it will basically never give up chasing you. It’s surprisingly quick, more powerful than any other non-boss mob in Minecraft, and is likely to kill you with ease unless you’ve decked yourself out in all the best enchanted Netherite gear.

Bundle: New Backpack Item
Finally, a lovely new quality of life feature: Minecraft 1.18 is bringing us backpacks! Except they’re not called backpacks, they’re called Bundles, and they work in a different way than you’d expect.
You can make a Bundle out of 2 String and 6 Rabbit Hide, and clicking on one in your inventory opens up a miniature secondary inventory space of 6 slots. However: the Bundle doesn’t increase the total amount you can hold in the slot: it simply allows you to hold different kinds of items in a single slot.
For example: you’ll be able to hold 32 Dirt and 32 Stone in a Bundle, but you can’t hold 64 Dirt and 64 Stone in the Bundle because you’re still constrained by the single slot’s stack limit . So it’s not as useful as the Backpacks created by various Minecraft mods, but you can also understand why Mojang wouldn’t want to give us effectively limitless storage space inside our inventories.
That’s a wrap on the main features and details of Minecraft’s upcoming 1.18 update. Until then, the best way to change up the look of your world and inject that sense of discovery back into the game is to install one of the best Minecraft texture packs. Or, if you want an entirely different experience from your regular singleplayer world, why not check out one of the many great Minecraft servers available right now?
Minecraft 117 Update Caves And Cliffs Part 1 Features
Goats, axolotl friends, and plenty of new blocks
Looking forward to the release of Minecraft update 1.17? For years, Minecraft players have been asking for a big update to the rather bland underground areas you may know them as caves. Theyve not really changed all that much since vanilla Minecraft launched over a decade ago, while new biomes have been added constantly to the game. So it was hugely exciting to get confirmation of the Minecraft Caves & Cliffs update.
While the cliffs do get new snow effects, powder snow blocks, and goats, the really fascinating stuff thats being added is all found beneath the surface. All youll need to do to find these new areas is tunnel downwards. Three new underground biomes were discussed during this years Minecraft Live presentation, filled with new plants to harvest, new materials to gather, and new Minecraft mobs to encounter.
Yes, Minecraft Caves & Cliffs does add a terrifying-sounding monster, but it also gives players not one, but two potential best friend mobs that can help them take down pesky enemies. Here is everything you can look forward to when Minecraft 1.17 goes live.

What Will Caves & Cliffs Introduce
The Caves & Cliffs update is going to overhaul caves and mountains, along with a boatload of other features. Most notably in the update, caves will truly have a mind of their own, with the purpose of no longer being just simple, dark, and dull corridors. Brand new cave biomes are rolling out with the upcoming update, featuring unique vegetation, crystals, geology, and diversity. The scale of them is also going to have a massive improvement, spanning to enormous sizes. The exploration of these caves will truly feel limitless, sparking the feel of discovery, keeping players coming back for more.
As mentioned, cave biomes are a core focus of the update. Lush Caves, one of the brand new cave biomes, is a thriving, green, underground ecosystem, home to its very own blocks, like Glow Berries, Spore Blossom, and Dripleaf Plant. Other cave biomes include Dropstone Caves, and Deep Dark.
Many New Blocks And Items
Looking forward to incorporating deepslate ores into my minecraft builds. Loving the textures!
The Minecraft 1.17 update is the biggest update regarding the new blocks and added items. Mojang has introduced many new blocks and items in this update, such as deepslate, calcite, smooth basalt, amethyst, moss blocks, copper, lightning rods, and more.

Minecraft 117 Beta Release Date
If you own the Bedrock edition of Minecraft, you can now play the beta, although only the first phase of new features are available including goats and the powdery snow. Find out how to play Minecraft Beta snapshots in both Java and Bedrock editions, by following the steps outlined in our guide.
There are important differences between both versions, and it seems that the Java edition is slightly ahead. A recent update is the Caves & Cliffs snapshot 21w14a, that makes important changes to iron, copper, and gold. Now these blocks generate raw minerals when mined, putting it in line with coal and diamonds. If youre a purist and like how the ore blocks look, you can still collect the ore blocks by using the Silk Touch Minecraft enchantments.

Snapshot 21w06a introduced the brand new cave system so you can now explore those cheese and spaghetti caves yourself, and go diving for Minecraft diamond in an aquifer. Previous snapshots added Minecraft copper, bundles, powder snow, lush cave blocks, glow squids, axolotls, and dripstone caves.
And that is everything we know about the upcoming Minecraft Caves & Cliffs update. Some exciting new areas to explore and one terrifying monster to face. Its certainly best to come in prepared, even if Netherite weapons and armour dont do much against wardens.
