Invisible Light Blocks In Minecraft

HOW TO GET AN INVISIBLE BLOCK – Minecraft Tutorial

Invisible light blocks, usually just referred to as light blocks, are invisible blocks that can produce any light level from 0 to 15. Light blocks cannot be mined, similar to air. They exist, but can’t be touched in Minecraft.

Light blocks with a light level of 0 do not attach to any block, meaning that breaking an adjacent block will not remove the light block. Since light blocks cannot be acquired through mining or any other natural way, there’s only one way to get them and it’s not through Creative.

Light blocks will not be found in the Creative menu, so they have to be acquired by a command. In Minecraft Bedrock, the syntax is “/give < target> light_block ” and in Java Edition it is “/give < target> minecraft:light}.”

After explaining what the invisible blocks are for, I would say that it is time to act.

In this chapter, therefore, I will explain how to get them in the EditionJava Minecraft for PC.

No mod needed to get the invisible blocks: you just need to use a special command.

The first thing you should do is enable commands in your game.

To continue, start the game, go to the route Single Player> Create a New World> More World Options and set the option commands of Sip.

Remember to press the button first Done y Create a new world, to confirm.

Once in the game, in mode Creative, Press the button T at keyboard, type the command /give minecraft:barrier and press Send.

At this point, a block will be generated, directly in your character’s hand, with the prohibition icon. The game calls it Barrier and it is an invisible block that serves to delimit the border. Try put up some barriers in front of your character.

Then press the T on the keyboard, type the command /gamemode survival, to switch to mode Survival and press Send. Perfect, now you will see that the blocks that you placed earlier will be invisible.

Then press the button again. T on the keyboard, type the command /gamemode creative and press Send, to return to Creative mode and arrange the invisible blocks to your liking.

Of course, what I have explained to you are just the basics. In fact, in Mojang’s title it is also possible to make invisible other elements, as truss supports.

How Do You Hide Command Blocks

I am making a server, and I want to teleport the closest player to a certain area. But I don’t know how to make the command blocks invisible, so the players don’t see them. Does anyone know how?

  • Can you give us more information? Where are you trying to hide them – is it an open area or are there structures?

You can have commandblocks somewhere else , then use alternative command syntax.

..this commandblock will look at given XYZ coordinates and will search for nearest player in radius of 3 blocks. Then it will teleport him 30 block up

For activating the commandblock, you can make it always active , thus it will teleport players whenever they enter the scanned area. Or you can make some redstone circiut, or wireless redstone to just place redstone block on another place, then activating the circuits)

For more study how this works, you can read the wiki article about command syntax, what other target selectors you can use etc, here.

What To Be Careful Of

Players should keep in mind that barrier blocks are unbreakable unless there is a way to bypass them. Once the blocks are placed, players will not be able to take them up unless there is a specific command for that.

It is essential to place the blocks in the desired location and make sure that the whole area of the region that requires protection is covered. Players should also ensure they at least leave some entrance to the barricaded items.

Players should either make a secret entrance or leave a few blocks off to make it possible for them to still reach the barricaded items. They would not want to lock themselves out of their items.

Combining Invisible Items Frame With Banners

In the past, to give the effect of an object placed onto a surface like a Smart Phone for example:

That looks great, but with an Invisible Item Frame it sells the idea even more:

If you dont mind having a gray border around items, then combining a Banner Design with a Shield removes the little wooden nub from the banner:

Further explanation: Create a Banner Design, and then combine the banner with a Shield, then place the Shield onto the Invisible Item Frame.

See the Minecraft Smart Phone Design Post for the Banner Design Recipe.

You can see this Banner > Shield > Invisible Item Frame concept has been used to great effect by giving a Printer a Control Panel:

How To Get Invisible Light Blocks In Minecraft

Light is an important commodity in Minecraft. It helps players see things better, especially at night, as well as prohibits mobs from spawning .

Light comes in the form of the sun when it’s daytime, but when the sun begins to set, or if players are underground, light can become pretty scarce and that can be a problem when mining or exploring.

Moreover, light sources can often not be the best. Sea pickles, redstone torches and others can be difficult to see with and won’t prevent mobs from spawning. There is one Minecraft light source that can be used without being seen and can provide a stellar light level: the invisible light blocks. Here’s how to get them.

How To Get An Invisible Item Frame In Minecraft

For dedicated Minecraft decorators, sometimes having a frame around an item placed on a surface doesn’t quite capture the look desired.

Some players have posted visuals showing their tools and items placed on surfaces without a standard frame around them. Item frames by default possess a certain appearance in vanilla Minecraft, somewhat limiting players hoping to achieve a more worn-in decorative approach.

Fortunately, there is a fix for this by using Minecraft: Java Edition’s console commands, enabling players to place item frames that essentially appear invisible to the naked eye. This presents items in a much different way, making them appear as if they are placed upon the surface itself.
